All black fan here , Ireland are a great side , but nobody goes undefeated , We find it a bit amusing when people over react when we lose a game , the reality is we lose one or two a year on average , have done for years , The great sides win more than the others , but very seldom go undefeated, I wouldn’t read too much into it
Huge credit to John Mitchell for that defensive performance, and to the great man Richard Hill who looked so proud as he welcomed every replaced player off the pitch.. I can see his influence all over that back row performance.. Forget the flashy stuff, do the graft and all else follows..
I think England aren't getting enough credit for their display. Nearly every restart went down Earls wing - to take him out as a kick-chase option. Van der Flier was targeted too as a first tackler because he's Ireland's option for poaching. If he's on the ground, or rolling away, he's not poaching or slowing down ruck ball. Very clever by England. I was certain Stockdale would be focused on - due to his defence deficiencies - but maybe his attacking potential made them favour the other wing?
If England had won by a margin 5 more points than it was, England would have overtaken Ireland and Wales in the world rankings, to number 2. So, considering England had a perfectly fine try disallowed and Ireland had a try that was held up awarded, basically what i'm saying is that England should have moved up the World rankings to 2nd.
That's a fair point, but if you won a competition like the world cup, who cares if you were ranked 1st, 10th or 20th in the world. Rankings change all the time and people forget. England (and every other nation) should be more focused on winning their next game.

@@heyhey5712 henry slade had a great read, Elliot Daleys kick put stockdale under that pressure as the kick was weighted so he had to take it up to line line and he panicked.... meanwhile Irelands first try was gifted by the ref considering how it was literally held up.
