I practice calisthenics at home and i too train barefoot. Makes me more aware of maintaining balance
Used to watch your videos a few years ago. Glad to see you’re still doing well and making videos.
I'll give it a shot next time I go to gym.
I've been running barefoot on a treadmill for some weeks and I'm really feeling a huge improvement in my calves. I've always found it hard to develop my calves... I believe this is a game changer for me. I really recommend it.
I love Zero shoes!!
All of my current w/o's are home so always barefoot. Even workout gear is minimal. Skivies, tee and hoodie.
Hey hey hey @AlKavadlo. What's your opinion on exercise cadence? I've heard various opinions on the matter from "Both concentric and eccentric parts have to be a slow 5 seconds each" to "Pump out reps as fast as possible." What cadence do you recommend? Thanks.
Xero shoes are the best! When I put regular shoes back on it hurts my big toes 😣
I've been running barefoot for 8 years on primarily asphalt and concrete surface. Never had any issues or injuries. My feet have developed a thick layer of callus on the sole, and I have no doubt the ligaments, tendons, muscles, bones on my feet are significantly stronger than if I had been wearing shoes.
So try to go barefoot as often as you can. There really is no downside to it except that you might stub your toe which is more of an inconvenience than anything.
Barefoot just feels so much more natural. :D Especially since I wear minimalist shoes all the time, I'd find it so weird to train in normal trainers lol.
I thought that everyone would act like this 😳
Hey, hey, hey here's fat Albert... oh wait, wrong Albert
