This is the best game of the franchise. The online experience it had was top notch. The auction house was awesome. Buying and selling your cars, tunes, and designs. Tournaments and time trials had a huge reward too, unicorn cars. These were the special cars nobody could buy but only earned in tournaments. I had a blast playing online.
I do miss the music in Forza Motorsport 2! I think that's the reason why I spent *HOURS* playing this game. Man, I'm seconds away from buying a 360 and purchasing TDU(TDU2), PGR 3 & 4 and Forza!
Do man , I bought all the forzas motor spots , test drives, pgr2,3,4, Gta 4and 5, and Driver SF!…Man it’s so fun playing along with my dad agaon playing these games so fun Smoke up and a bit of forza motorsport 2 haha
Whoa. Hey man. That was a little harsh. I grew up with the game and had fun with it, and I consider it to be one of my favorite Forzas alongside Forza 4.
I get that you would say that if you grew up playing the game as I'm the same with Gran Turismo 2 and even though I do like the Forza games, I didn't play this one until Forza 4 was released, so I have no nostalgia for the game at all and I can kind of take an outsiders look at it. If I played Forza 2 back in 2007 then I probably would have said something else about it, but seeing as it's a 13 year old game, there are a lot of games to compare it too and in quite a few cases the other games are better. I agree with you about Forza 4.
For reals. I've watched a few of his videos and he always seems so pessimistic when it comes to xbox. The OG Xbox was a powerhouse compared to the PS2.
Dude who made the video is unaware that many games during that time ran awful on PAL and Euro region consoles. It had nothing to do with "console limitations" lmao. I remember Gran Turismo 4 had a 1080i resolution option (back in 2005! 🤯) on American consoles but not on PAL consoles, they were stuck with a lower resolution. Also I think he might be a Sony fan boy...
My graphics card broke and took the power supply with it. I thought it would be a good idea to make a new intro but I couldn't find an audio file of the Windows XP start up, so I used the MacOS start up instead. Also thanks. The next review is going to be of Gran Turismo 4 which should be over 20 minutes long. Edit: How was the quality of the video?

I always review games against their contemporaries to make it fair and consistent which in the case of Forza Motorsport 2 was quite hard to do as there weren't that many games like it in 2007, so I did have to stretch that idea a bit with the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue comparisons.
personaly my least favourite forza game, mainly due to campaign structure, and lack of diverse tracks. By the way the review itself is great, your best so far, and previous were already really good! ;)
Thanks. I agree. The campaign structure is terrible and I'm glad that game developers moved away from that kind of progression, but I don't think it's the worst Forza game. That would probably be the first game or Forza 5. Edit: How was the quality of the video?
@@MontegoReviews that I cannot judge because i watched it on some shitty phone that i currently use. And also i don't pay much attention to technical side (unless it's really abysmal, but that rarely happens nowadays). RUclips is screwing video quality either way so i take every gameplay footage not that seriously :p But from what i saw this video looked really clean.
Y'all crazy as hell. Its the career structure of 1 and 2 that makes them my fav. They have more single player content than 3 and 4 lmao (5-7 were a joke). If you hate the career in this game then you'll also hate the career in Gran Turismo 2-4. Thats what I love about those games.
@@medalgearsalad1419 ok years have passed and now it's my favourite Forza Motorsport game xd And now i enjoy it's carrer structure the most XD And to top it of NOW it has my favourite driving model XD My biggest hate goes for FM7 becaue of it's abysmal menus - like how bad you can make menus to actually hurt a game. Not even mentioning cards and so on. And i wouldn't hate it so much if i didn't like it's driving model - but i like it very much it's unique. But Forza Motorsport 2 and Gran Turismo 3 went from my least favourite to top - well in case of GT3 almost top becasue for years and to this day GT2 is by far my favourite game overall, and also i like more restrictive GT5 carrer.
@@MontegoReviews and why is that bad I would understand if you were talking about forza edition cars in the new games the tuner cars are special plus there are still loads of normal cars
These complaints are what ruined Forza and Forza horizon no sense of progression and just do what you want when you want and graphics. Do really love cars and just having exotics and going as fast as possible then maybe your playing the wrong genre

the online community was truly second to none. especially the drifting space
Honestly man the online was the best!!! Id love to find a community who plays these old games and have some proper racing!

The original xbox was the most powerfull console of the 6th Generation. It could Output some games in 720p.
Yes. The list of games that can be played at 720p is very small, and I think that might only be on NTSC consoles
@@MontegoReviews that’s true, but it’s still impressive. Great Review, Forza is my favourite racing game franchise of all time.
@@MontegoReviews Indeed, PAL version got the short end of the stick.
Forza Motorsport 2 is THE BEST in the franchise. No doubt about it.

A bit biased don't you think? You should review games based on its own merits. Not based off of other games

Why do you have such an issue with tuner cars they were super cool
I don't have an issue with tuner cars. My Issue is that they make up a large percentage of the car list.
