This lovely man should not leave his home ever... amazing how some people live surrounded by beauty...
He said in a New Yorker piece that he does find it quite difficult to leave the home because of the beauty he created. He even put in a full barista station sectioned off in his office. The only time he does feel the urge to leave us to bang your mom.

I really like how he's taken the library and then worked round all the staircases and balconies, its so cool. This is one of my favourite homes so far.

Apart from the visual feast that us people of the www experience when we get taken into these fantastic homes. I have to comment how Susanna's enthusiasm and objective eye always take these tours to another level. Please never stop making these wonderful tours they are such a delicious delight.

Montgomery Cam Jr you are correct to say that about a minimalist, which I am not sure how I was going to survive this video. There are too much for the eyes and mind to see all at once.
It’s a little overcrowded, but I love it. It has its charm.
The first time I watched this, I was all: "It's a bit too cluttered for me," but the more I watch it, the more it grows on me.
I especially love all the steps up, the steps down, the archways, the doorways, and all the nooks and crannies.
There's just so much to explore and experience. It's so cozy, collected lived in, and beautiful.

Thomas has so many many incredible treasures that he simply doesn’t have the space to truly give them the moment to shine. I can see how Bunny would edit the space.
Wow, this house is amazing ! Wish I could see houses like this with a family with kids. Gorgeous garden too. Congrats to the owner’s terrific taste.
At first it's like wow, that's a lot of stuff but then it has a beautiful chaotic look to it that makes it work. I mean, it's lived in versus beautiful things placed in a house like a museum rather than having them because you love them and live with them like Thomas. He thrives in his treasures and it's easy to see why he gets inspired daily. I can imagine wonderful story book characters popping around a corner, running up and down the steps! After it's all said and done, you just gotta say, wondrous!
Totally agree - Thomas has a great and is an inveterate collector and lives with what he loves.
Spectacular. Truly. I love that the old school house photo was shown. It gives a wonderful sense of the history of the property. Thomas’s next book should be a fairy tale. Because that is what the gardens look like! Thank you once again for posting such an awesome home!

Now, this is a house I love viewing. It is nicely arranged with history, loveable items, collectable items, so it makes the house you. I love vintage as well. Nicely arranged and beautiful.

What an extraordinary place! So much space with some many rooms both in the house and garden. How on earth does anyone find time to dust all those lovely things, let alone maintain the property!? You could get lost for days just exploring the houses, contents and the beautiful gardens.
I am so pleased he called his garden a garden, not a yard? How can a garden be a yard?! A yard is what you find in a farm!

I adore everything about Thomas!! His beautiful staircases, which I too love, his American impressionism paintings, his furniture, his dishes, his gardens and more importantly HIS STYLE! I could just squeeze him till his little eyes pop.. Of course I won't, but I WANT too!! LOL...

It's all about the garden...oh such a beautiful haven...and the crocks, pots, books, tables, art, collections, chairs, fireplace , rugs and banisters ...American, French, vintage, old and new...phew!

Love, love, love the garden. It has the same collected and lived in quality as the homes. The dinner-ware is lovely too. I enjoy collecting plates and some of Thomas' designs need to be in my collection.

One year later back again for my yearly dose of O'Brien ! I realised that this house looks like the inside of my brain ! When they buy something new they must spend ages wandering around the place looking for somewhere to put it. I have a store room full of pictures and antiques and cupboards here are there and the house isn't even finished decorating. I thought that it would be like a store that I could go find something for a particular spot one day. I have this thing when I say 'no more paintings' then the other day I bought five oil paintings, fortunately two were small, the smallest one being a bowl of strawberries in a lovely frame, who could resist. After watching so many 'build' videos where houses are put up with a nail gun, it's refreshing and reasuring to see houses built as they should be, good solid 'forever' builds. Thank you girls again xoxoxoxo

Whoa 😮 ummmm I love eclectic, but holy, “I filled every corner with a object guy.” I didn’t know where to look, 👀 and the host didn’t even notice the gigantic fire place because there was to much stuff distracting from it!! Beautiful items, but for myself I would need to edit big time so I could see clearly.

I actually love the “office”. I, too, love staircases and different levels as he has here. It’s weird though for a space that looks like it is jam packed with such interesting things, there is still kind of an echo as you would have in an empty room. Oh yes, and I absolutely love that fireplace!

Lutyens home are exceptional and in certain areas he does it justice come over the pond and give viewers a treat with the lutyens houses over here I me in particular thinking of the salutation it's spectacular....a feast for the eyes
Thomas has great taste, these are really beautiful objects, but Jeez Louise...a bit of editing and restraint would be nice. All those quality objects get lost in a mountain of stuff. I guess this could be high end gypsy chic. Lots of quality stuff, a very nice house and amazing garden.

The design of this estate is absolutely incredible and the collections are fantastic‼️ They have the beautiful clutter of Bunny Williams approach and the grandeur of Martha Stewart‼️ On a much smaller scale, It is TOTALLY 👍🏾 my esthetic for my personal taste. I have many collections of bone China, dinnerware, sterling holloware, vintage plates and tureens. And I have other collections as well. I love it knowing that I’m not crazy.
