At a low point in my life, I discovered TKW. His warmth, his kindness, his genuineness, his pleasure in beautiful objects, and most of all his wish to share the good things in life with everyone, was like a ray of light and comfort. He has shown countless ways of improving how you live, how to entertain and how even the simplest things, like a bunch of herbs in a glass can give happiness.
I wish the 2 Teds many, many more years of showing people how to get the best out of their lives, and have fun as well.

That Jasmine climbing inside was such a delightful surprise. It must smell absolutely gorgeous in there. Soon as he turns the key and walks into his home on a warm sunny day that fragrance must just envelope him. Really charming. You can make a mini version of it by getting some jasmine plants at Trader Joe's! I currently have 2 blossoming on my kitchen sill and am hoping I can overwinter them indoors and plant them outside come summer 😊
Oh my gosh this makes me so homesick for my life in downtown Seattle. I lived right in the middle between the Teds’ home at the Gainsborough on First Hill, and their shop on First & Spring. How many things I bought from both their shops. They are so magical. The Gainsborough, built in 1930, is a Grand Dame building in a wonderful old leafy neighborhood a stones throw from the high rises of downtown. As an urban hiker, I passed by it multiple times, and now, through Quintessence, I get to peer inside, at not just any apartment, but at the Teds’ apartment! Such a treat. 💚
So glad to bring back such lovely memories!!
Giving and receiving is so important in a relationship and it was so beautiful to see the symbology of their years of living life together showcased in such n inspirational way!

Lovely. My home is quite small by American standards, but I've always said I'd rather have a second home than a bigger one. I love the idea not only of quality over quantity of space, but also of variety of scenery and lifestyle, which these gentlemen seem to have achieved across their 3 homes.

His book on partying, "Ted Kennedy Watson's Guide to Stylish Entertaining" isn't like any "how to give a party book" i've ever read before. He's so casual. I was like "really, it can be that easy?" That book changed the way I plan a party. I find him inspiring. Thanks for sharing your visit with him. This is the best channel on RUclips.

Loved this one ,they inspire me to always set the table with things you love, the older I get the more I want to enter the rooms in my house that have objects that I love, be it art from a relative whom I cherished or a shell from one of my grandchildren. I love the concept of color blocking in the shop and the refrigerator….the lemons in a glass bowl!

Thanks for featuring the Pacific NW! I grew up in both the Capitol Hill and Queen Anne Hill neighborhoods. I went to Queen Anne High School and thank heavens it wasn't torn down after it closed as a school because there was talk of that. It was turned into condos. So to see a building that is in the First Hill neighborhood is a treat. I now live in Tacoma, WA where there are still a lot of historic buildings.

Absolutely delightful.
They are so good at complementing and using wall color. Yellow isn’t my favorite color but my goodness they made it look fabulous in that room. How warm and inviting their home is but still quite elegant. Also, I need to try some jam and cheese now too lol
