What a Project to take on!!!! An Old House NEEDS an owner to TRULY LOVE IT...regardless of investment! If you truly love the property, you will love it no matter the cost🙏... I think we sort of Fall in Love with Houses.... I certainly do.

What a gorgeous house! I particularly liked how realistic the video was, presenting the house as a work-in-progress. Susanna has the best job in the world. While I don't need to own any of these homes myself, I'd love to be invited to visit them, and Quintessence makes that possible!

I can't decide if I love this couple and their dogs or the house more. We all should want to live in our homes by wearing it first before you renovate. I think the added wall papers is sensible and beautiful they way they were used. It looks like wall paintings. They have done an amazing job so far. I want to add how interesting the under piping from the sink is in the one bathroom with the uncoated brass fixtures. It defies gravity. I love this video and I hope they do another one when their home has that "feel right" touch and is finished. Thank you Susanna and Stacey, you do such great work for our entertainment and I, for one, appreciate it immensely.

When I got the notice that you had uploaded a new video, I could not dry my hair quickly enough so I could give the video my full attention. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. How could there be 3 thumbs down? I get excited watching all these videos even though some may not be my exact style I always see something that catches my eye. For example: the wall colors that were used in this house are really unique. Sometimes I will get a landscaping idea and that is not what the video was showcasing. Keep the videos coming.👍Thanks to the owners for opening up their homes and sharing them with complete strangers . I am sure it will s labor intensive getting the cleaning, organizing, and editing for the completion of a video.

Lovely green guest room , curiosities , books, art history....a visitors dream stay!
Wonderful to see how Susan and Will are making a house just right for themselves and are also taking the time to get to know their house.---So many neat things there whether part of the house itself or the contents brought in by the owners. In the dressing room I noticed the jewelry store stand(?) with a necklace on it.---Susanna and Stacey, arranging the seating in the large living room and not having it focused on the fireplace made me think of someone you may know or know of: In his book "No Place Like Home" by designer/decorator/journalist Carlton Varney talked about how he would get an idea for how seating should be arranged in a room by studying how people would move furniture around AFTER it had been arranged, how they would unintentionally create the most effective placement. The book is very good reading: Mr. Varney wrote about becoming close friends with Joan Crawford in her later years and he interviewed Edie Beale after she became well-known but was still living at Grey Gardens.

Thanks! I'm gonna read that book. I have been spending a lot of time watching how we use the space, and how the space is used when we have different groups of company over. It's really interesting. I've even seen a generational difference in how the space is used, which is wild. We also move furniture when we light the fire, vs the summer time when the fireplace is not used. Thanks again. :)

What an interview ! Just love how their vision is coming along with the blending of elements which some would nare say works. The rich deep tones speak warmth and true home luxury. I must say as a staunch minimalist, their collections work within the design of each room and do not appear fussy nor cramped. We had a 1901 farm house once that had been in several configurations and had also had a little vandalism while empty before we purchased it. Lots of delicate and tough work. We ended up selling before it was completed but we did enjoy our time with it. This home showcased today is a beauty! Well done decor.

I love this grand old home and what they've done with it so far, retaining a vintage/shabby chic feel with some high-end glam and modern functionality. The colours they've chosen are perfect, and the teal wallpaper in that dressing room is just gorgeous. I'd love to see you revisit this one further down the track and see what they've done with remaining rooms, especially the kitchen!
