I do agree Maye definitely looked good and had the best debut out of any of the rookies. And keep in mind he just turned 22. The future is definitely bright at the QB position. We just need better play calling and weapons.
TRADE TRADE TRADE Thornton!! they have good Wrs. I agree Polk will only get better not so worried bout him. KB working his way back was hoping he make a huge impact vs Texans but obviously it was Pop and Boutte. Defense needs to better for sure. Go get an Edge rusher along with a LT high in the draft first 2 picks.
Patriots will probably make an attempt at going for Higgins in the off-season at least. Also as far as Patriot free agents the only notable names are - Jonathan Jones cb starter - Josh uche olb starter/rotational player - deatrich wise de starter/rotational players - Jeremiah pharms dt rotational player - Daniel Ekuale dt rotational player - Joey slye kicker starter I could see them only resigning slye long term 2-3 yr deal Jonathan Jones a 1-2 yr deal probably won't be expensive but potential replacement in the draft since he's been struggling they could just let him walk. Josh uche wants a long-term deal but won't get much here most likely gone. Deatrich wise hasn't been the same player he's gone unless they resign him for cheap. Pharms and Ekuale are both rotational players but are pretty below average wouldn't be surprised if they keep one as a depth piece however I already prefer Jaquelin Roy dt already has two sacks and was signed 2 weeks ago dude looks like a better pass rusher than both honestly. Patriots should have a good amount of cap in the off-season Joey slye most likely the only one guaranteed to get a deal they will be keep one of the two dt pharms and Ekuale as a depth piece. They would need an edge player especially if uche is gone. They'll try and get one in free agency and probably draft one as an emergency backup. There's also a good amount of veteran cb next off-season if they let jj walk they definitely picking one of them up. They'll probably resign a few of their guys back on cheap deals and one big contract signing won't be the same like last year where they resigned/extended all their guys except Judon I do see them not resigning everyone. I also looked up their free agency 2026 not a lot of notable players except Bentley and strange they could probably keep both Bentley being the cheaper deal strange will cost them more since its his first big deal and he was a 1st round pick
In hindsight, I think it was better to start him this week. Given Miamis QB situation, i think this was a much better and more realistic welcome to the NFL for drake and we also have an easier time evaluating him in a game vs one the leagues best teams as opposed to the offenseless dolphins.
The recipe is to bring in a competent OL and OC. I guess we saw the formula to be dominant, first in New England and most recently in KC. Provided that Drake is the guy, we need to find a dominant TE, Pop Douglas can fit the likes of Julian Edelman/Danny Amendola/Wes Welker/etc. and Boutte seems to be a good complimentary weapon, if they find someone that stretches the field I can see them being competitive.
The DEF has fallen far short of expectations, yet you're one of the few folks even mentioning the name DeMarcus Covington. He's like the teflon coach. Or like Voldemort, Boston media seems afraid to even speak his name. We know that Jerod is labeled a DEF HC, but unlike Bill Jerod has said he's taking a CEO approach. If that's the case, I think more fingers should be pointed at Covington: Poor tackling. costly penalties, and an anemic run defense all seem like coachable issues that your DC should be expected to address.
You're damn right The Drake is good! The future is looking bright!
HAPPY FOR DRAKE MAYE, been a fan since college

I mean hell josh Allen took a number 1 wr and two years to be good. Drake will be great

I think Javon Baker can be that guy if he gets past the growing pains this year.
What’s next: keep losing and draft Travis #1
He spread the ball around to different receivers like Brady did and C.J doing same thing
If Austin hoper didn’t fumble the ball that would most likely been a good drive to another touchdown or field goal
