  • The night after the draft, I stayed up looking into every UDFA that the Bears signed after the draft. I don't know if I've been more psyched about a prospect I didn't have a clue about.
I feel like the Bears found an absolute diamond with this kid... we'll see

To be a really good team you have to find the diamonds in the rough. Richard Dent, the 85 Bears Suoperbowl MVP, was an 8th round draft choice. The 49ers stole Kittle in the 4th round. We knowe about all the UDFAs that have become stars.
So can the Bears finally find one? It's a longshot, but will be fun to watch.

    Adam,
New subscriber and love your work here!
I remember from some video years ago by Greg Gabriel that these players from smaller schools can be best judged on their abilities if they look like men playing against boys. Kromah might have it to succeed, but with good coaching.
Also, based on Bears history to draft a player and try to bulk him up to fit a position, I'd rather see them work to take 10-15 lbs off his frame and play him solely for now at DE. 6'3"+ and 260 to 265 is good weight to play at DE. He might find a little extra burst to be lethal. If he succeeds and they need, add the weight back on and his transition to DT will be easier following success at DE.
Sorry for any confusion I may be causing! Using my wife's account on YT. Some day I might grow up enough to sign in on my own! All your analysis caused me to subscribe to your channel for the first time ever subscribing to anything!
Keep up the great work and Bear Down!

I compared Jamree Kromah to the DT that he could be replacing in DT Justin Jones and what stands out to me is the arm length and explosiveness that he plays with. He is about 20lbs lighter than Jones but he plays with enough strength and leverage to be successful at 275lbs on pass downs. His motor stands out too. He could be a steal

The RAS score can tell a lot about a player, but it can also be very misleading. Case in point: Dominique Robinson. If I recall, his RAS score was off the charts, yet he's pretty much now a bust and there's a great chance he won't even make the cut this year.

The thing about Dominique Robinson is that he was just moved from wide receiver to Defensive End in 2020 in his third year in college at University of Miami Ohio. He is very inexperienced and raw HE was always supposed to be a project. This was his second year. It is possible that D Coordinator Ted Washington can help develop him. If not they will move on from him..Calling a 5th round draft pick a bust is a bit unfair because most 5th rounders end up cut, on special teams, practice squad, or back ups.. Dominique Robinson was the 174th pick of the draft..He started because of roster weaknesses, lack of depth of the Bears in the first year of a full rebuild

Wtf kinda system am I watching? 😅 Makes Florida and Clemsons DCs look genius. (Btw I say 1-2 cause Carter was off my board, 40+ Pass Rush wins was Top 5 with only Elite players tho😅, Dexter was 2nd amounst Rookies w/11 🤷🏻💯) But yeah, what people say in the Texas "3 Tech", i thought Kromah was better. Even as a projected 6th-7th. Plays with hair on 🔥, gets great leverage, keeps rushing sideways when he doesn't get a good angle. That's the Kancey part. 💯🤷🏻 Which, was that a 9.89 Ras? So, he's that type of athlete. Bell was a good late pick last year, hoping he is in camp as well. If we moving him to LE that's fine, but be patient. @@doitall36 Brevyn Spann-Ford was ranked #220 among all 2024 NFL Draft prospects, while Brenden Bates was ranked #602, so there is a huge difference in their talent level. Bates will be lucky to qualify for an NFL practice squad, while Spann-Ford is a legitimate TE3 on a 53-man roster.
I do a lot of research before I comment, so why don't you & many other fans? then maybe we can have a intelligent conversation & debate. one of the many things that I have learned, during my 60+ years on Planet Earth, is that it doesn't make any sense to have a battle of wits with an unarmed person.
