The game does look _Amazing_ I'd add Days Gone, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, God of War and of course, TLOU 2 as well. Spider-Man has massive star power recognized world-wide by people who neither play games or read comics so I can definitely see a lot of hardcore gamer/comic fans buying a PS4 for this game.

I'm hyped. I think it will be one of the better Spider-Man games of the decade if they can manage to give you something to do in the free roaming environment. So far the story looks alright. Nothing really groundbreaking. It actually reminds me of an episode of the 2003 series, which isn't a bad thing, it just feels like a trodden ground. The gameplay looks pretty serviceable. Unfortunately, you can't really tell if this is how it will play and how much is user input to make the combat work. The cutscenes are pretty nifty, hopefully, they don't rely too heavily on the QuickTime stuff. But as a Spider-Man fan from birth, I'm on board. Against my intuition, I will let myself get hyped.
It would be cool if they made it possible, to both play as Peter Parker roaming around the streets like in GTA, and then being able to switch to Spiderman anytime.

QTEs can be great if they are used right, and I like how it's used here. Sure, there's a lot, but there's a lot of actual gameplay between it, which I think it's great. It'd be great if failing a QTE doesn't lead to a game over.
This may be a little nitpicky but I wish the colors of the city popped more. It looks kind of dry. It could be an intentional part of the art style of the game though
I don't like how they made Spider-man's voice sound so much intentionally like Tom Holland because they thought if they made people hyped for the game if they were hyped by Spider-man Homecoming it would get more attention.

PROS: + air combat seems like it's a thing. Please take a note from devil may cry 4 for how air combat is supposed to be done: creative freedom and many options for the player. + spidey's thing of frantically trying to prevent destruction is a really unique and works well. CONS: - QTE - QTE-finishers that take away control from the player to show a little cutscene. This is not needed, gameplay is impressive enough nowadays. - Swinging seems to take notes from ps2 spiderman 2, but looks a bit more dull. It needs more momentum changes. Go spidey, and go insomniac.
Now this is noir stealth! I'm so sick of web cocoons! Web cocoons are fine for hanging a enemy-but not not every friggin time you use a stealth takedown!

Silly Skeleton the swinging in this is definitely better than spiderman 2, there wasn’t that many qtes and they only make the game seem better by adding a grander scale and cinematic feel to the gameplay, also the combat is almost nothing like Arkham
Spiderman 2's movement system has you judge the arc of your swings, press dash and charge jumps to be released at the lowest point for horizontal movement and later in the arc for vertical movement, and mind the wallgrab button... It was a system where running up a wall required you to (figure it out on your own and) charge your jump, release it, hold sprint, and press the grab button immediately just to maintain speed, letting you run twice as fast up buildings through that. I'm not seeing any of that here... You actually felt all the systems you had to work with and felt like you could constantly get better at it and move faster. I believe I managed to get my swing speed to 159 mph last I checked, and it felt incredible... Looks like you can't even break 45 mph in this game... That's not even mentioning the point and click movement system returning from the "amazing" games that removed the challenge and immersion...
Yes the swinging felt a bit slow at times but I´m sure it was on purpose for showing us all these new footage with the helicopter scenes and second they´ll of course have a lot of upgrades for us and I would bet that at least one will be increasing the swing speed. They also mentioned that his swinging is physic based and that the more you swing the faster you will swing in the end which is also something to think about. It´s too early to panic and say pass already, it´s the first game play footage shown to us. More will come and will probably make much more sense later down the road. They still got at least 6 more months of work, if not more we still don´t know that. Stay optimistic!
