The reason this cast was so good is because they almost naturally play their own character in real life like their personalities are perfect for their role
Tobey Maguire is the best spider man and he was the first. That’s how good he was. After all this time they still couldn’t dethrone him. And Willem is still the best green goblin.
Underrated comment here man. I stopped trying to argue or debate with people just recently about this. Like even with all the technological jumps, inclusion of more villains, mcu tie in, younger actors that are quote on quote more comic book accurate, it still wasn't enough to overshadow the FIRST spiderman movies and that says a lot. Its ironic cus naturally, spiderman is a replaceable role considering all the different spidermans in the comics but something about Tobey's Spidey just screams irreplaceable. He and the production team literally nailed it! I dont think I'll live long enough to see a better spiderman come along if one ever does. Long live the legend
Tobey Maguire's casting as Spiderman will always be the greatest casting in history. His character development was so well balanced throughout the trilogy which was very inspiring for kids as well as adults. Sam Raimi has great vision and imagination as he made this happen at a time when nobody could even imagine something similar. The acting of the main cast in this trilogy is so subtle and real yet cinematic at times it needed to be. The writing has to be one of the most epic writings for any movie franchise. Sure, the trilogy was not perfect but it was way too ahead of it's time as it impacted so many people in such a good way including myself that it helped me become the person I am today. Such was the impact of this trilogy. Again, the casting of Uncle Ben, Aunt May, MJ, Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Sandman, Little Goblin jr., J.Jonah Jameson, Mr. Ditkowich and every side character was absolute perfection. Another casting or choice of Sam Raimi that proved to be the best is Danny Elfman. Without the score or theme that he made, this trilogy or even the character of Spiderman would've been incomplete. And now after 14 years, we'll be getting to see our childhood hero back on the big screen. Even Sam Raimi is back to Marvel with Dr. Strange 2 along with Danny Elfman's score and I couldn't be more happier. The trilogy is the definitive blueprint for the super hero movie franchises that we see today including the Marvel Cinematic Universe itself. All thanks to the late Stan Lee for bringing to life the most relatable yet heroic superhero. I hope one day, I get to meet Sam and Tobey in this lifetime and thank them for everything. For now, I can't wait to see Tobey Maguire in No Way Home.

The great thing about the first spider man trilogy is that it really brings the characters to a realistic level. Yes a classic movie like always. Sam Raimi movies always have a place in my heart. Great to see Tobey back after 15 years later and two decades later. I grew up with him as Spider-Man the most. Now Spider-Man 4 hopefully can happen, with the three Spider-Man man agian, and with new storylines and new villains.
Ultimate Spider-Man is Miles Morales (Earth-1610). Ultimate Peter is dead, instead, so it's best to avoid using that adjective for him. Didn't bring him good luck last time. LOL
@TheKing Thinking about that it actually makes sense. Tobey was a good Spider-Man the moment he started which was when he ended highschool. Tom became a good Spider-Man the moment he too left highschool, which was a few years after he became Spider-Man. There is no way this wasn't 100% on purpose. I'm going to ignore the part where you said Tobey was a good Spider-Man from start to finish. In Spider-Man 3 he was a total @*shole and that was before he even got the symbiote.
@TheKing I love the dance scene as well, but a mans good dancing will not get him out of his crimes lol. He was not being a good Spider-Man with or without the symbiote sadly. From kissing Gwen Stacy Infront of everyone, ignoring Dr. Connors, making MJ jealous, presumably killing Harry, he's just not a nice guy in this movie.
@TheKing Gwen was not a random girl to him in the movie. It's stated that he already knew her as a lab partner. So him kissing her may have still been Peter. Don't get me wrong, Spider-Man 3 is still my favorite out of the trilogy due to how goofy it is, but Peter wasn't a good person during most of it until the very end sadly, and that was kind of the point of the movie too lol.

Spider-Man 3 forgiveness
@Gringo ok
I only watched this the other day , god , it's one of my favourite films , it's amazing ! Tobey will ALWAYS be the best spider man !
Don't lie man you watched these when you were a kid, we all did, no reason to be ashamed of that fact.
And suddenly this made its way to everybody's watchlist. Its like a door to our childhood, the 90s kid. I can't express my feeling right now after watching this.
Best Spider-Man?
Kids: tom holland
Teen: Andrew
Men: tobey
Tobey is the goat
Spider-Man is back after 14 years.
This movie… even after 20 years and you see the intro and narration of Tobey saying who am I? You sure you wanna know?
You’re witnessing Spider-Man being brought to life in the real world for the very first time
these actors are so lucky tobey didnt fully evolve into bully maguire at this point, God was on their side in 2002
Yes a classic movie like always. Sam Raimi movies always have a place in my heart. Great to see Tobey back after 15 years later and two decades later. I grew up with him as Spider-Man the most. Now Spider-Man 4 hopefully can happen, with the three Spider-Man man agian, and with new storylines and new villains.
Re-using the multiverse plot for the next movie would suck ass
Oh wait, you meant Raimi's Spider-Man 4, not Marvel's
Tobey is the Ultimate Spidey, Andrew is the Amazing Spider-Man and Tom is the Spider-Kid
Wtf
