That's Kirk Fletcher, Top Blues player in his own right and his style is very much Albert king often times so probably why as it's in his lane... Amazing also is that Joe's Playing Albert Kings Actual Flying V! Just phenomenal piece of History. 👌😎🎸🏴🇬🇧
Well, Kirk Fletcher can keep up with basically anyone on lead guitar. He used to be in the Fabulous Thunderbirds, so he knows his way around an electric guitar!
Daniel Castro version was #1. Superb but, I love Bonamassa style and delivery - Nothing like THE BLUES in any version especially this song. Lyrics. Arrangement. Horns. MY GOD IT DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS!!! Bless you all
Love how Joe acknowledges all his band members, his smile is one of respect as he was playing rhythm for the other guitarist's solo. He seems like he treats everyone as his equal. What a showman!
If you notice this, Joe gives the opportunity to express himself to absolutely everyone in this friendly community of musicians and at the same time you can always feel his elusive sense of guiding the movement of musical sounds in this kaleidoscope of everyone's talents.Bravo, dear Joe!!!
I was fortunate enough to meet Reese at a hotel bar after a JB gig a few years ago. He was a genuinely lovely guy who took the time to have a (borderline) lengthy conversation with me about his career and passion for music. Such a humble superstar of a man and to take the time to do that after hours of slapping the keys was an absolute privilege. What a legend.
Kirk Fletcher, great player in his own right playing the Solo on the Gibson Les Paul (his style is very much like Albert king often times so probably why Joe let him take the Solo being an Albert King Classic!) What's more Amazing is that Joe's Playing Albert Kings Actual "Flying V"! - Just phenomenal piece of History being made there.. 👌😎🎸🏴🇬🇧
I liked Jeff a lot, but he was never as good as Joe. Being blind I'm sure didn't help him, but he never had joes voice either. But still good. He is missed.👍
This man comes directly after Eric Clapton in the entire performance...sensational...what a musician...completely underrated...for me "Mister Blues Bonnamassa"...!

This performance and this song is the first I had seen /heard of Joe Bonamassa.. I sat there mesmerized by this man and his music.. so moving and I’ve been hooked ever since! Love him ♥️🎶
Joe is one amazing guitarist. He was a child prodigy and his genius shows in all his playing. One of the best to carry on the legacy of the Blues into the future. We need more artists like Joe and this stuff should be mainstream radio displacing most of the garbage cookie cutter pop tunes that are more noise than music. The Blues have soul and purpose and bring people together no matter their background. It's intellectually stimulating too.
He’d been playing since he was a kid. There’s vhs learning tapes now on utube. It took him yrs slow and hard work to become well known. I think touring relentlessly and when he went to the UK something changed. He did the Royal Albert Hall dvd and was on the cover of Guitarist magazine. He put out the Royal Albert Hall dvd and that set things in motion. I have that dvd but tbh I like this one better. FYI that’s Kirk Fletcher playing rhythm. He’s a top notch player himself. That’s Stevie Ray Vaughan’s keyboard player.
Very vool version of this song. Nice to see Kirk Fletcher, a true beast (see him in impros with Josh Smith 😍). Joe Bonamassa dynamites this blues. Masterpiece.
4:37 - the moment Kirk Fletcher really felt it. Prior to that he was cautious, anxious to be up to the role, and when he went into the arpeggio, that's when he let go and you can feel it. Great solo
I've always loved this song by Albert King. It's wonderful to hear such a beautiful reproduction of the genius of the song and the atist. Fantastic job. Love this version and this song.

That organ player is having the best time of his live ride on brother
The second best time of his life, haha, watch his set with SRV at crossroads
