Steve Rajeff Advanced Casting Presentation

Gorge Fly Shop and G.Loomis present Steve Rajeff Advanced Casting Presentation at our very own Grand Re-Opening Celebration event. That's right! Re-Opening. We moved back in April and celebrated with a big event on June 22nd. We had lots of great presentations and one of our favorites was Steve Rajeff, G.Loomis rod builder.

I Feel EVREEMUVEMNTof his body. You can't see, but he's casting a 9'6" four peice Sage XP. Somewhere in this demo he says this rod is to stiff. I know because ferrules stiffen a rod. You cant go deep. A four peice has three ferrules, the part that you connect the different peices of the rod together with. A two peice has one ferrule. A one peice rod would be to soft without a ferrule. The 2 peice 9'6" SAGE XP is perfect. I cast my Love. For LOVE. NO double entandra, no irony, Not needy. To show my heart. Water, and a smooth cast. And your head explodes. UNBELEIVABLE.....

I own about a dozen Sage rods. There are only two of them I would not part with; the XP 9'6" 2-piece, and the 490 RPL 2-piece.

Steve is a great caster. Too bad the sound was horrible and the angle of the camera not great either.

Agreed. The wind was horrible and Steve only had a mic for the PA.
