Excellent breakdown of the component parts of accuracy casting. Clearly from a tournament casting perspective, but the bottom line is the more accurately you can cast the better fish catching possibilities you create.
too much power too early in the forward cast; "hitting it," usually snapping wrist at start of forward cast. Creates a concave rod tip path (dip) in the forward rod tip movement. Ease up, start forward intentionally slower, accelerate to a good, hard stop. Try using no wrist at all in forward cast, forearm only and the tailing loop will disappear.

i have a problem with my fly hitting my line befor it unrolls. What am i doing wrong?
