The ADF-01 Falken in the game has a laser cannon which can destroy any enemy in the game in a matter of seconds. Most normal units are destroyed immediately upon contact with the beam.
Basically its just an overtuned canard issue, to remedy this you simply have to increase the value on the pressure damping slider IN THE CONTROL SURFACE ITSELF. Dont do it in the FBW or jimmy menu unless you want your plane to not be able to manuever above 500kph
@@guntherweiss its funny how I PURPOSELY tried design the Hydra to use fully actuating wings for in-world-lore technical reasons and sci-fi reasons but purposely tried to avoid making it look like a Dune ornithopter ripoff, and somehow the game on Patch's end unintentionally turns it into an actual ornithopter.
The black Ace Combat fighter from Ep.2 is the Fenrir, which as you said is pretty much THE top-of-the-line aircraft in the lore, as far as I know. It's newer in-universe than this one, the Falken, which itself was the first enclosed-cockpit fighter in the game series and in-universe. The Falken can be flown by a pilot with some sorta thought-interpreting system (like the movie Firefox if you've seen it), wherein the pilot just needs to think or move slightly in order to move the plane, and a projected view of the outside of the cockpit is projected in front of them. From what I can read on the wiki, the Fenrir uses a more mature version of that system, along with optical camouflage, the ability to basically stop in midair, such is its maneuverability, and it also has these weird missiles which cause a huge explosion near a target aircraft that overheats and seemingly melts any electronics or sensitive equipment onboard and somehow makes the target explode as well lol. Idk I've only played the most recent Ace Combat game so I could get some stuff wrong. Blame the wiki!
That last bit i think isn't a missile, it's a ground-based microwave weapon, which the Fenrir then tracks onto a target. Aircraft explode because the microwaves heat the fuel up enough to where the plen goes boom!
the COFFIN system doesn't read thoughts, that's the ENSI system from AC3 the COFFIN uses voice commands and eye tracking instead, which is the main reason it got it's name of flying coffin, as test pilots would crash the aircraft given it's unorthodox controls
ace combat has some absolutely monumental dogfights, i'd be very surprised if you don't enjoy it. Most of the planes are real planes made in collab with the JSDF air foce so the models are crazy realistic
Ooh, they even got the automatic swing-wing controls working on the F-14. Also, you're damn right that saying something is an F-14 is a huge compliment. It's an awesome plane that only got put out to pasture because it was expensive to produce and expensive to maintain, not because it wasn't cool as hell or inadequate for its role. Also, an F-16 developed by SAAB sounds like the most terrifying single-engine fighter plane to ever exist. The F-16 is already monstrously competent and SAAB are very, very good at developing planes to do things that don't seem feasible for their aesthetic. That Ace Combat plane looks like it was designed for remote operation because it would 100% turn the pilot into a slurry just before it threatens to rip the wings right off with that kind of insane maneuverability. Not sure what you'd have to make the wing spars out of to get it to hold up to that kind of abuse.
Would love if you tried a bit harder to find the top speed of these planes. Maybe a sea level run and another one at, say, 20,000 ft? I dunno what was up with the Hydra and its flappy wings lol, but maybe lower the throttle until the flapping stopped and then try. Otherwise great job! Love seeing community designs
Maybe whoever uploads on the server should also post screenshots of the FBW settings as they might be reseting or not setting properly when DL'ding other people's files.
Trust me it is. It's got a limiter when flying fast to not pull pilot killing G's and bleed all it's speed in a single turn, but if you fly it realistically, less than Mach 1 at dogfighting speeds, it flips around like no ones business.
To be Fair, that F14 probably IS in War Thunder, aparently you can import Models from Blender into Flyout so... Not saying they did a 1:1 recreation of an F14 piece by piece in Flyout but..
now technically speaking you "could" make a mechanical setup that will make the wings "flap", however I've not seen anyone so far succeed making high frequency flapping like you'd see on a Dune Ornithopter. I think the main issue being there currently being no implemented game mechanics to make hinges do a continuous flapping motion.
patchbits, idk if you will see this but if you do can you tell me how you got flyout to not stutter? it keeps on stuttering even though i have a 3070 and 64gb of ram and an i7 11700k
@@franciscoduarteauthor This thing isn't the J-10. It's fictional, and the Air intake is almost exactly like the F-16 intake, while the wings and other bits are almost exactly like the JAS 39. The J-10 isn't this.
4:49 - "That was a bit rough" - My brother in Christ, it is a Navy aircraft. That landing was butter for that plane.
We had some Ace Combat aircraft, now we need some Sky Crawler ones!
Thanks for flying my 40k Avenger! It does fly like a brick, but with all those guns it was hard to make it maneuverable at all 😅

surely the "f-16 developed by saar" is just a eurofighter

heh, that flapping with the Hydra in forward flight is also new to me because it's not supposed to do that... never encountered that myself before.

As an AC veteran I think I’m qualified to say you got all of that right
Will say though that the Falken was used as a testbed for the Zone Of Endless (Z.O.E.) AI program

Helps alot that the FENRIR aerodynamically is a unit, it's got crazy low wing loading cause it's just so big.

I think the reason it was jiggling was because he had the flaps on level 1
The tomcat iirc turns best at around mach .6, also isn’t that fast with all the missiles creating drag irl
