Hi all, just some clarification for part of the propeller tuning: When I say the prop is "too heavy" or "too light" to stay at a certain RPM, this is a little misleading. What would have been correct to say is that the blades are generating too much or too little drag to allow the prop to get to the desired RPM. A prop's weight will only affect its angular acceleration. The original statement about weight in the video was made because the factors that affect prop weight also affect its blade drag. Sorry if this caused any confusion.
I'd assume grabbing a second gearbox and making the value negative, then clipping a second prop (with the counter-clockwise option enabled) into the first since you can't change the cone style all that much right now
@ikalev9538 No, same gearbox add a propeller and make it CCW or whatever is the opposite of your first, DO NOT add negative value, you will mess it all up.
The methods that @8Hornet and @maximpikalev9538 provided will both work. As for the prop hub style, you can make a fake one with fuselages set to zero detail strength. The plane at 14:36 does this (and also has contraprops).
@TheWanderer05 thank you, I'll for sure have some experimenting to do. I'm wanting to attempt the bomber from the "Dead Hand" animations. I've managed to build it and rebuild it 5 times in Simpleplanes
Where did you get the other pilot figure/character from, the one piloting the older aircraft, I only have one pilot type under the sub menu "Cmd" ? ... great video by the way, thanks fort the help
i need help, every prop i place keeps either being flat no matter what or turned so hard it wont propel anything and it keeps happening no matter what even when i use a stock propeller.
I have a problem with my prop, it wants to bank to the side the engine and propeller turn. What do I do to solve it? I already tried with 2 propellers one in CCW and the other in CW, still banks AND FOR SOME REASON, DISCORD DOESN'T LET ME REJOIN TO THE FLYOUT DEV SERVER
If it's rolling regardless of the engine setup, it's likely that something else is causing it, such as the wings. What do the wings look like? Are they reverse-swept? Do they have anhedral instead of dihedral? Both of these contribute to roll instability.
That depends on what you see in the prop readout. If it's too far off from 5-8°, then you can usually start by adding/subtracting the difference between the number you have and the number you want.

Thank you so much for the tutorial, but I am curious about the possibility of contra-rotating props, and how to make them

Thanks.. my brain Blue screen gonna rewatch it 5x times
Damn, insanely detailed explanation

The pilot model can be changed on the pilot part. Scroll down near the bottom of his options and there is a headwear list you can choose from.
You forgot to mention that exhausts can be used as afterburners in the more whacky configurations.
what???
Thank you

Is the propeller connected to a gearbox in its settings?
i have the same problem, do you know how to fix it?
@@TheWanderer05 yes.
still waiting for the wing tutorial...
I've might've missed this but what does "Blade Chord" Do?
Blade chord increases the width of the individual blades.
What did you do the get the propeller to snap to the center of the gearbox at 6:21? I would really love to know that trick
Hold x and y to center on the vertical and lateral axis.
finally jesus christ
YEEES!

how much do you suggest adding at a time to prop twist?
