    This is a really helpful video, thank you! I've been getting thumb pain from my straight bars with basic grips to the extent that it's been limiting the distance i can ride, so definitely going to get one of these!
    Would you perhaps be able to compare the length of the horns between the GP3 and the GP4 in cm? I'm wondering if for someone with thin+small hands like me, the GP3 would be enough to fit all 4 fingers (and being a grad student, every extra penny counts XD)

    Awesome vid! I have a twist shift bike so I can choose between either a GP1 or a GA3, I have seen some reviews that say the plastic on the GP1 is too hard, but the GA3 seems to be a nice soft rubber all over. I get shooting pain up my wrist if a drop from a kerb whilst holding my current grips too tight so I'm looking to get new grips. Which would you recommend out of the GP1 or GA3?

    Thanks for the very informative video. Ergon sort of went wild with this range. I think the only two of this range that should exist are the GP1 and GP5. Either you want the second position or you don't, the in-between grips just seem to be half-assing the secondary grip position without offering any real advantages.

    I am into deciding whether what model of GP's I am going to purchase. This answers my doubt as I am still new to biking. I think I will go for GP2 for now so as not to deform much my MTB look in the trail and maybe getting another GP5 bar end only (if this works?), if I will be on the road or gravel biking. this is a good comparison video, thanks!

      @@BikeCommuterHero yes, I am currently using the stock grip for now and I had some issue with my hand numbness, and this been years for me. Initially, I am thinking of getting GA3 but thinking twice about the GP series instead, I think this design will help my numbness and at the same time, i can change my grip position once in a while. and most importantly, my concern is, I am afraid if my hand issues bump and will lose grip while on the rough trail, at least something will prevent/stop off my hand out on the grip at the grip end part :) idk if my perceptions work but I will get this grip using your link. Upgrades mode while all trails in my area here in NC are closed due to weather conditions! :( Thanks once again.

    Just bought the Gp1 biokork large and hoping I still have room for my separate bar ends to lock down at the end like I have now with my standard Ergon grips. After going on several 50+ mile rides my hands started getting partially numbed out and weak for a bothersome length of time. Hoping these grips help out somewhat. My existing bar ends are an absolute must for harder climbs, though- we'll see.

    • @Chrisicola
      @Chrisicola 10 месяцев назад +1

      Update: These hand grips will co exist with stand alone bar ends, but you will have to carve out a small plastic ring where these grips are meant to be flush with the handlebar ends. Once you carve off that lip with a small knife, then they will slide through to allow you to put on your Onza bar ends. It's not difficult, but you obviously want to take it slow.

    • @willemschuitemaker9707
      @willemschuitemaker9707 7 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you for this update Crisicola. I was wondering whether the hand grips would allow for this. Buying them and then realizing it cannot be done is a waste. Now I know it can be done. Great!

    • @Chrisicola
      @Chrisicola 7 месяцев назад

      @@willemschuitemaker9707 You're welcome. You just get a knife and turn it inside the bar end until that small ridge is peeled/removed. Its not hard, but do it slow. After that they work great with the bar ends like you want. Personally, I can't ride without bar ends, but now you get the cork to rest your hands on, too. Take care.
