Interesting experiments. A way to get your static grass to stand up is to vacuum it 4 minutes after application. By then the PVA will have bonded enough to hold the grass bases Geek Gaming suggests thinning your MS Polymer with 99% isopropyl alcohol to make it more manageable, even runny so it flows. Straight PVA glue is another alternative that will dry clear, but you'd need a stiffer baseboard than cardboard for that. Happy Modelling
I definitely considered including things like PVA painted over a river bed or varnish, but I thought most will have tried those things and I wanted to try something a bit more adventurous! But I agree, varnish is very straightforward and often better than the mess I make 😂
That's exactly what it is! I think sometimes it's important to just give it a go! And I wanted other folk to see that process, and embrace the fact it could go wrong but will also be great fun :)
Great vid Harry! The static applicator you are using will not work with any length over 6mm pal, simply not powerful enough, been there and tried myself. :)
not surprising! I got the static grass many moons ago when i had no idea... Not much has changed except i know that this static grass isn't easy to use :P It comes out alright though, sortof! Thanks for watching! Really Appreciate it :D
Disaster, how could I forget the boo rar rum! Paint and PVA is a basic effect for sure, I probably should have included it, but it’s one I think doesn’t really give enough of a river effect really, it looks ok!
Always good to see various products in action.
Whatever you do, do not disturb the water!
@15:45 ... oh Harry! You made me laugh so hard!! I love the "have a go" attitude, that's the best way to do anything!!
That’s exactly what it’s all about!! Valiantly defending my shoddy workmanship 🤣🤣

Love it this video and the lockdown hair, though I'm sorry to hear about your seepage.
Thanks man - it's all good fun and the seepage is just another road, one which we all must take XD
[thank, you for you're great video]👍
in the past i have just used yacht varnish

def gonna try this! thanks mate!
Years ago I used to use gloss varnish put on in layers to give it depth
Great video! A great experiment! :)

If resin is so expensive, why don't you use clear silicone or polimer based adhesives?
Nice! You should do a Dead Marshes diorama lol
I’d be keen to! Though I’m not much of a diorama man myself, they’re super tricky, and I like gaming too much 😂
@@EntmootVideos or a table would work I believe there are some scenarios lol
You should add silicone without touching it, just squeeze it out and let it dry

Have you tried mixing paint with pva for a glossier effect? Could be worth a go.
Also, no boo ra rum sign off? Standards are slipping

Fuck me, this is an absolute shambles to watch
silicon and silicone are not the same thing!
Genuinely had no idea this was the case! thanks!!
First
it seems like he purposefully tries to make it as bad as he possibly can.. and the fckn shaking sht in front of camera is what gave the thumb down..
I’m sorry to disappoint you, please share your video on water effects so I can learn from the master ☺️
