No talking, just walking. Exploring the English Countryside. A nice gentle walk along the Caldon canal all the way into Stoke-On-Trent. A solid long walk and the longest on my channel to date! It is a lovely Spring morning and there was so much wildlife to see including lovely little baby lambs, geese, ducks, horses, a heron and I am sure there is more! A lovely walk.

About Dave's Walks
Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
I will mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!
I upload every Sunday 11.45am GMT (3.45am PST) (6.45am EST) (5.15pm IST) (9.15pm ACST)

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to RUclips. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

Such a great time of year - full of hope and expectation. You've done it again, Dave - a beautiful walk. Your walks are starting to intersect each other - I recognized that railroad!
It is indeed a great time of year! So much wildlife out and about that day!
This is some 🚶♂️ Dave, you must have been shattered by the end of it!
13 miles that day. My legs were like jelly come the evening. One day of rest though and I was able to be back out filming.
@@DavesWalks Well done you!
Peaceful.
Absolutely!
I love the baby sheep in this video.
11:14 wow, Romanesque stelae and capitals? Thanks for another great walk, Dave.
If I was at the field of lambs, I would have tamed all of them.
curious how the 'welcome to Stoke on Trent' appeared so early in the walk... one certainly gets a sense that the canal was a working one with the derelict and repurposed buildings, and the kilns. I used to work for the London Spinning by the Surrey Docks in Deptford. The sisal and manilla hemp arrived by barge to be made into rope and twine. Alas, the canal is no more, being filled in, I believe.
Great Countryside walk. Enjoyed watching.👍💯Regards from Hong Kong & UK🥰
Glad you enjoyed it Wanderer, Greetings from England 😊
Beautiful walk as always,Dave! Thank you for sharing.
Many thanks, and is always a pleasure TBone!😊
Nice walk in the nature! Beautiful sunny day! 😍☀️ Greetings from Romania! ❤️
Cauldron camel walk with bottle kilns ;s a reminder of the pottery
Really really lovely
I love your canal walks!!
Definitely in my top 10 of all your walks Dave. Had a bit of everything in this, and the time just flew by. Fantastic job. Thanks for making the trek for us.
Glad you enjoyed it, The whole way along I was like, ah I'll go a little further, ah a bit more further, and then just like that it was a 2.5 hour video. The walk back was tough, I glad I didn't go on to 3 hours.
@@DavesWalks - I quite liked it. So much variety during the course of the trek. Can't wait to see more of your videos.
Beautiful place, so nice walking tour👍 have a great day!
Thank you, I did indeed have a great day!
Very pretty- thank you!
I love these videos, they help so much with homesickness. If you ever get the chance, I'd love to see one of these in Scotsman's Flash or around Three Sister or the canal walk down to Haigh Hall. There's a nice bit of farmland if you walk to Three Sisters from Scotsmans Flash.
Hey there Smash the King, After a bit of a Google, Scotsmans Flash and the canal certainly looks good, have added it to my 'to do' list 😊
Wonderful! I'm looking forward to it. Depending on time of year, there's a little wooden bridge through the reeds that has bundles of tadpoles. If you walk through the woods from Killington Close towards the canal and stay to the left as you go through the turnstile, follow along through the woods turn left again and follow on. Hawkley Hall High School will be on your left as you walk alongside it, make a right through the little wood patch where the bird watchers wall is, right again after that and you'll be heading towards Scotsman flash. The little tadpole pond is on the left after the bridge over the little brook. It's a walkway off the main path that curves back to the same path. It's a lovely walk with lots of birdwatching posts, kingfishers and blue jays.
another simply wonderful walk. thanks, dave. :)
You are so very welcome Hellie!
Good video
Thanks😊
Nice walk along cauldon canal
Glad you enjoyed it!

Do you ever see turtles sunning on the bank of the canal or lake? Love turtles too.

Hi DAVE
Hi BRAYDEN
Beautiful
Thank you😊
May I ask if anyone knows how deep this canal is ?
I would like to say canals are about 2 meters ish,
Dave... you’re making me laugh with your « weather: not raining »...
For the UK it is quite the rare thing, days where the weather is good is often cause for celebration.
@@DavesWalks I can imagine! You will understand that I am not in the UK... but Canada
