Mustie1, When I see you post a "will it run" video, I've got to watch! Great job getting that go kart going and congratulations on sponsorship!
hey its you :D
@@waleedahmed4591 ikr
hes a good guy
hey its project farm one of my other favorite youtube channels lol
Try will a engine run on butane.
Will an engine run on vegetable oil?
A bug thumbs up to mustie. Watching these vids has given me the confidence to start buying and fixing mowers and reselling them. I have done 4 in a weeks time. Made a good bit of dollars and been scratching my tinkering itch.
Just what I needed today.... As for sponsored, least it's for decent products. 3in1 and lava belong in every house.
peregrine1970 It’s good to have some prep H around too.
peregrine1970 pretty sure that was a joke.
Lovechild, I thought peregrines comment was good but, you put the icing on the cake.
I bet prep H would do ok on a chain, it's more or less grease. Best thing for chains though is dry lube / parafin based stuff, does not pick up sand etc.
It was funny watching him trying to make a squeeze bottle look more convenient and effective as a pressurized spray can with a tube. 3in1 is great for sewing machines and door hinges but for automotive use. I'll take a can of nutbuster!
I've used Lava soap in my machine shop for 30 years Love it. 3 in 1 oil needs no fanfare....It plain works. And the smell always reminds me of My Grams house on sewing day. She would oil the tar out of a foot powered singer sewing machine and work all day. 3 in 1 is always at my reloading presses and does a great job. Glad these folks are helping you out since RUclips has abandoned their creators.
As one of 132k subs, speaking for myself I am very much ok with the way you handled the sponsored content thing. No interruptions just hey here's this at the up front and another by the way at the end. Totally cool. I like the way you shoot like we are just friends and neighbors who came over and play together like grown kids. Friendly and easy to watch. Feels like a Saturday afternoon.
Two great old school products sponsoring an old school master. Great!
I love the way that you talk to we, your insignificant window licker viewers, as though were are there helping you. Your ending was beautiful.
Two great sponsors there, good to see you are getting some sponsors now. Think the cart is a winner as well, Thanks Mustie, you have given me many hours of great videos to watch. I am disabled now so it means a lot !!
Sponsors! Excellent! You realize this means I'm going out to stock up on 3 in 1 and Lava! Supporting the team!
That 3in1 is the bomb. Glad to see that brand resurrected. I still use for door hinges, cables on my motorcycles etc. Great job getting them as a sponsor. And Lava...ain't nothing gonna get your hands cleaner.
I love your videos! I am in bad shape from a stroke 3 years ago and can’t work in the garage anymore. I love watching you.
I'm in a similar situation, where I no longer have a garage and all the tools (not that I had even half the stuff that Mustie has...), and enough time has passed me by that the will to do it is fading fast, but I sure enjoy seeing the dead brought back to life on Mustie's operating table. I love a challenge too. Hope you can recover fully from your stroke.
Stan Patterson thank you
Lawrence Stack 2 stroke or 4?
Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy and appreciate your videos, I now believe I can get my lawnmower running again. I also wish your weren't over 1900 miles away because I would buy a generator from you to be ready for the next hurricane.
Another fun project and it's off to a really good start. Congratulations on the sponsorships.
The Shade Tree Fix-it Man Really good start? Get it? Because it's a "will it run vid"? Hey,is this thing on? You people in the back hear ok? Don't forget to tip your waitress!
I just suggested 3 in 1 to a person in a F/B group I am in. It's good stuff. I use it to maintain my wife's sewing machines. As to "will it run?"...... said it before, I'll say it again. You sir, are a magician! Of course it'll run, Mustie1 is on the job!
I'm happy to see you getting sponsors. You deserve it for the great content you put out.
RUclips had been suggesting your videos to me for a week. Finally gave in, watched a bunch, and subscribed. My new favorite channel!
I've been using Lava for about 65 years now, it's still the best.
Richard Fay Not sold in Hawaii.
I still use it to shower with, and I am a retired welder/mechanic.
Deeponion Lovechild That was just wrong......and funny A F.
Richard Fay WOW how much of the bar is left?
I still use Lava too, great product!
3 in 1, well, I like the product, but hate those new plastic "cans". Coupled with the horrible variety of nozzles they use on them you have an uncontrollable mess. I really miss the metal cans with the pop up spout. Don't use 3 in 1 much anymore for that reason.
Nothing beats A Mustie1 Video after boring day of work at auto parts store... Come home to Go-kart rebirth ... awesome day
I first thought you were kidding about the sponsors (another channel I watch "pretends" to have sponsors)....but it looks like yours are legit. Congratulations, you deserve it for all the great info you share!
Congratulations on the sponsors. I will use both of them as I attack a 1960 barn find Karmann Ghia. I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you!
3n1 and lava have been around forever , very good sponsors , Enjoyed as always Mustie1 , keep um coming
I love the beginning where you dragging a reluctant project in for work. Reminds me of some of my projects.
About time you had a sponsor or two. You do great work and are so knowledgeable. You don't have the rack of Wilkerson or the begging abilitiy of Wrangler. Hopefully more come on board as this is a great channel. Heading out tomorrow to purchase 3 in 1 oil and Lava soap! Cheers.
I don’t like shill videos but highlighting great products is a win-win. Congratulations on the sponsorship. Dad put me on both products growing up and they still just work
Thank you Lava soap and 3 in 1 for sponsoring one of the best channels on youtube. You won't regret it . I always need your products When I work on things. This is a reminder to me that I am getting low and need to go out and purchase more tomorrow . Thanks for making the great products that you do.
Hey Musti, been watching your video's for a few weeks. Very entertaining and have learned quite a bit. You sure know your stuff. One of the things that makes me chuckle, when you find something that is really bad, messed up, major damage to fix, you laugh a little, you don't panick, oh boy, didn't expect that, but, no prob., well' fix that, you seem to really enjoy the challenge of finding mayhem in these engines ravaged by rust and time. With that I tell you this....when I was 12yrs. old, 1965, my dad brought home from work, a 1958 Sears Allstate Moped "Deluxe". (Puch). It has the flared fenders, leg shields, "Wikop" stamped in the seat, original tubes and tires, still hold air. Dad bought it from a co worker whose son was failing in school. Bought it for $50.00 dollars. It has 1,200 miles on the od. I have the original owners manual, and, came with a replacement spark plug, with a protective plastic sleeve, both are in a secure place. Wish you were local to St. louis Mo. I would love to hear it run again. Don't know why it wouldn't, it has been in my basement, for the last 30 years, avg. temp year round, 74*, turn it over with the pedals ever now and then to keep the motor free. It is fire engine red, and I wipe it down and shines like a diamond in a goats ass. (Ozark down home say"n) Just wanted to tell you that. Jaguar, 64 any advise to start after all these years would be appreciated
im glad you have a sponsorship, you deserve a few more bucks for the work you put in a video;)
Glad you have sponsors! This channel is well worth it.
Good job on the sponsors for your channel you deserve it! Why do people think its a problem? You can't keep putting in the time for no return, they don't realise how much time and effort goes into filming editing uploading etc. Well done mate, great video as always too 👍
I've ALWAYS preferred 3-in-One to anything else. The very smell of it reminds me of my Dad's shed and my "helping" him fix stuff. Wonderful days. Thanks Mustie, that was another great visit to your Garage-of-Win (as my daughter would say). Excellent video and a job VERY well done.
NICELY DONE ,HOSS .
ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO ,GLAD TO SEE YOU'VE PICKED UP TWO, GOOD SPONSORS.
I THINK EVERYONE HAS USED BOTH AND IF NOT THEY SHOULD, AS THEY WORK .
ENOUGH ABOUT THAT ,I ENJOY YOU VIDEOS ,AS THEY ARE BOTH ENTERTAINING AND INFORMATIVE !
MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR HOME
That carb is the same one found on Tecumseh push mower engines. Good work as always Mustie!
Thought you were joking with the sponsors but agree that those products are great! Obviously the penetrant worked better than expected on all the parts you sprayed! I didn’t know they still made Lava soap. I used to use it all the time! Guess I’ll be buying it again. Thanks.
Oh, and the go cart was some more of your good work (as usual)! Congrats on getting it running and lubed up! Looking forward to the next episode!!
canuckguy worried not funny
MRrwmac l, I
Ok baby
MRrwmac oof
Great video...takes me back when I was 14 in rural Northern Minnesota. My dream would have been to come up with a broken down go cart and get it going...Paul
Just finished watching the PUCH series and look what appeared! Looks like my Friday is officially done. Let the long weekend begin!
Edit: Sponsorship... excellent! You're one of the few people that I would actually trust a product recommendation from and you deserve the returns for the work you put into these.
Most entertaining 3in1 commercial I've ever seen!
Fantastic for you, and well deserved, you got sponsorship. I can tell by your voice you are upbeat about it and also your editing is much better. Congratulations, onwards to infinity......
Been a lifelong believer in, and user of 3-in-One household oil. Back in the day, it used to come in little pippity-pop metal cans with the flip-up needle dispenser. It was awesome stuff, even the ladies used it on their sewing machines. It didn't give off odors like some automotive-grade oils. Congrats, Mustie on getting a sponsor, and a great one at that !
wooooo a good old will it run from mustie !!!!
Congratulations on the sponsorship !
Really funny how that pull start fit right on there. Now it's a Brigumseh. I'm looking forward to the test drive video when the time comes!
"a Brigumseh"! LOL !
Nice job getting it going. I’ve always liked 3in1 oil. I have a bottle from the early 2000s that has an extendable straw nozzle. Very handy. And lava bar sop is the best thing to get the grease off. Good sponsors to have.
That drag intro was EPIC!! More of those!!!!
baggins1 ... kicking and screaming all the way...😂
I was worried about him hurting his back even more.. that bent pulling... not worth it..
He's a beast! With super clean hands!
I worry about his back yet yanking things.
First thought: "Bring out your dead!"
Glad to see you get some sponsors. I will say that you are the most intertaining of the channels that i watch.
Nice way to do the ad’s. Glad your getting sponsors!
Love it, your commercial for 3 in 1 and LAVA. . . . great sponsors for your channel for sure. Love your channel and always look forward to new videos. Thanks
Good sponsor s man you have gave alot of free information you deserve it keep the videos coming thanks
I enjoy your channel. Watching you bring old junk engines back to life is always interesting. I like your KISS approach to a project. Spark, fuel, air, compression. Always the best way to check things out ....
Happy for you, you have some sponsors, nice product placement, too. I’m only half way through, but I gotta get dinner and feed the cats. See you at 6am tomorrow, then more reruns with the cats.
who wouldnt want this guy for a neighbor?.......handy guy to have around 👍 love his taking projects for a spin after fixing, giggles like a 10 year old
I agree, glad you are being sponsored. I also think you picked a couple of very good products for sponsors. I use one already, I'll have to try the other, with your link and code of course. Thanks for the content, and I hope this helps you keep creating more.
First off, congrats on the sponsorship deal, you give us great shows, a little product placement never hurt anyone, the go cart is totally kool, makes me want to buy one, my mini bike days riding thru the Bronx in the early 70s comes back to me hearing that motor, which u did a great job on run, will definitely pick up the products u endorse as needed, have a great weekend friend
Yeehaaa! Mustie1 got sponsored! Happy for ya Darren.
Nice, a brand new 49 minute project video :) Thanks for all the work you share with us!
I'm willing to bet the exhaust valves are cruddy. Engine sludge. Losing pressure.
Congrats on picking up your sponsors. Great channel.
Good deal !! I know if you don''t like the product it will not be there, or it will disappear. Keep the great teaching and all the tips you give.
Mustie you should do commercials for these products. It made me chuckle, product hawker. I happy you got some sponsors.
Congrats on the sponsorship. The old yerf dog! I had the same one. Same issues with the idle circuit. Watch out...the drum brakes fade on hills along with eating the CVT belt.
Yeah buddy , a little extra $ always helps no judgement from me , can't wait to see the old yerf dog rippin around!
Love the sponsors.
The two best days in life..the day you get a go-kart and the day you give it away.
Found your channel today. Awesome stuff Thank You.
The good folks at Lava and 3in1 probably already know they're backing a winning horse. Congrats to all three of you.
I would gladly take plugs for companies to see more of THHHIS GUY.
As always a treat too watch .like the product placement lol
oh-yeah - friday night, 50 min of M1-TV and cold beer in hand :-)
I really like your presentations. I grew up in my grandfathers garage and he would always tell me that "It's already broke so why not try and fix it - what can you loose". This was in the 60's and it has helped me through the years. By the way, he had Lava soap in the shop and at home for us to use. 3 In 1 oil is also a standard for oiling things up and I'm sure the penatrating oil is a good product as well. I'm now trying to get my grandkids to watch your channel so they are not afraid to take something apart and see how it ticks.
I love Lava soap and 3 in 1 oil! I will buy more this weekend!
CONGRATS on getting sponsors Darren! I hope they sent you a large check and tons of product!
Two points.... first, when Mustie puts out a video saying ' Will it run', we know perfectly well that the magician will fix it. Second, sponsors.... Well done, I believe you deserve some recompense for all you have done and all the excellent informative videos you have provided. Just please don't stop the good work.
" Will it run" means, " Lets clean the carb" hahahah
Another great vid! I was able to fix my sisters lawn tractor with things I've learned from your channel! Much thanks from southwestern PA!!
Eyyy!! Our man has sponsors!! Keep up the good work man, you're doing amazing
Man it’s a wonder your back still works ,with all the pushing and pulling you have to do with your projects! Thanks I enjoy them.
We had one of those back when my kids were young. I was amazed how fast this thing could go. and how easy it was to break. . They should sell these things with a free welder.
I LOVE Lava soap... so much better than those liquid soaps... and 3 in 1 is the best.. when I need fine oil (for projects, not squirting) I break out my can of 3 in 1 ... glad to see a sponsor brother ... keep up the good work... great video ... God Bless
First sponsored video? Hope it helps you out in producing more quality content! :)
Well deserved, binge watching Mustie1.
Sponsors don't actually bring good content at all. They just encourage RUclips channels to shill and try to squeeze out as much money as possible, which has unfortunately happened to all sorts of channels. Those sorts of channels have different sponsors for every video, and try their best to drop the name of the sponsor before you get any indication to skip ahead. I really hope Mustie1 doesn't become one of those channels.
I admire how hard you work at these videos. Not that any of the old ones were bad its just I can tell you always learn and work to make them better. Thanks for the great videos.
I know 3 in 1, my favorite oil too, lava soap i dont know about.
That ultrasonic bath does a great job :-D.
Can you use Lava soap to clean the water line on the toilet?
Paul Pflaum, No it's not too much information :-D
I rememeber a pumice stones from when i was a kid, it was like a little mouse shaped stone and ideal for scrubbing areas of skin with enbedded dirt in.
They vanished years ago, i had forgoten them untill you commented :-D.
InsideOfMyOwnMind You probably could, but it's going to ruin the finish on the porcelain and invite further discoloration. It's for skin.
InsideOfMyOwnMind - probably won't work. Get a plumbers pumice stone (it's a length of pumice with a handle attached) at your local hardware or plumbing supply house. I've never tried it but, I would imagine that a stone meant for grinding off calluses (in the personal hygiene section) would probably work too.
Good idea !
you have to be one of the luckiest guys around. ive been watching your episodes and every motor you work on for maybe an hour ends up starting. good going.
75% of the product we pay for in aerosol cans is wasted as overspray and bounce off. I like that 3 in 1 applicator.
AKA Wireguy I usually half squeeze it so only liquid comes out. It comes out as a liquid foam form
Looks like he wasted a lot too...
I agree with AKA Wireguy about how the aerosol versions of products come out with such force that it scatters everywhere. As for planejet42's comment, yeah, I agree, it LOOKS like some of the stuff Mustie was using was wasted, but either way, aerosol or squeeze-bottle, I guess the real secret or magic of the product is its' ability to spread and penetrate into the cracks and crevices where we can't get wire brush tines or other tools to help us overcome the friction and contaminants on the inclined planes of the fasteners we want to unscrew. I'd just as soon not be spraying away 99.9% of the fluid only for it to fall off on my work surface, but sometimes you gotta over-do it to help "push" more of the stuff into where you need it.
3 in 1 oil is not about the applicator, it's supposed to be about the oil & its purpose. But I keep an old 3 in 1 can with straight non detergent 20 wt oil in it since when I worked at Amoco that's what the boss would recommend us selling to the customer. Straightweight 20W NON Detergent.
You want to avoid waste buy it in a gallon and refill oil cans. I do. They even make refillable cans you recharge with your own air these days for under $20. For people who still want tthe squirt. I like the control of an oil can better. I have my father's -- surprise surprise. Since it is forever lubricate it never wears out!
@@johnpossum556 Your comment reminded me of someone asking what that thing in my toolbox was. Some people have never seen an oil can. Especially the small can you inverted and pushed on the bottom with your thumb. We definitely are in a different time!
Great to see you got some sponsors good products too. I had forgotten you had this beastie, good to see you bring her back to life.
LAVA soap, boy does that bring back memories from yesteryear. That's the first time I have seen the 3 in 1 penetrant. I'll have to check it out,
liquid wrench is pretty harsh , and the smell is forever according to the wife ;-) .
I thought it was diamonds that are forever.
Great video!
Mustie I just have a feeling and hoping for after you put the tires of course the Mustie Mad Moment behind the wheel with video maybe a gogo cart wash at the local car wash lol!!!
about 45 years ago I discovered 3 in one oil. I ued it for my metal toy trucks, later on my bike, and found it is just the right consistancy for door hinges as Mustie did mention.
whenever I see a little pulley CVT in action I turn into a little kid, enamored by those pulleys pinching in and catching that belt. Physics is a hell of a thing aint it?
I agree. My $30 go cart in the 60s had a regular centrifugal clutch but the rich kids with Rupp mini bikes had the CVTs. I thought is was so cool the way they sounded as they picked up speed!
Loving the product placement during the carb rebuild
Wow 1st to like, that's a first for me. Love your videos Mustie and a BIG hello from Portugal.
Good to see you have a sponsor. I enjoy the 'live' aspect of your videos.
i didnt know 3 in 1 was still around, will look for it next time im at the big box store..
Sorry,I'm a Boraxo guy. 30 years and it's still the best that I have used.Get a 5 pound box on FEE PAY.
Great to see that companies recognize your channel, congrats on the sponsorship. :) I can vouch for lava soap, been using it ever since my grandpa showed me it a few years back.
At that light house they sell a little 3" lobster sandwich for $20 and a bowl of clam chowder that has so much milk in it thsts it's obviously "cut" to make it thin for $10.00. Whats funny is you can drive three miles down the street and buy an entire live lobster for $12 and a gallon of milk for $3.00 since thats all their chowder is. Plus they don't let you take that little trolley thing to go to the island. Really cool when you drive by, but then turns into a huge disappointment.
What young people don't understand is NOTHING is free. I am happy you have a sponsor to help pay for a great product, YOU! Honestly, 3-in-one oil and Lava soap have both always been in my garage and my father's garage before me. That said, there is something to be said about honesty. Show these great products where they are effective. Pretending that this is your go-to product for suspension parts and chains is dishonest.
Sponsors. Good for you.
really? mmmm im unhappy
Tony T jealous, maybe, but how can you be unhappy for him?
Awesome, and handled it well.
Yes ! I hope it goes well for you !
Tony T.....If you are upset, ask for your money back.
Wow nice sponsors mustie1 well done a shout-out from Keith in Cali. thanks for all you do here on. RUclips. the most interesting and informative content anywhere.😀
When I was a boy my father used to wash my mouth out with Lava when I said bad words. To this day I can't use it, but I rarely curse either.
Dan O'Connor what did you say
he'll taste Lava soap if he repeats it to this very day I bet...must have been good!
I also had my mouth washed out with soap if I cursed or mouthed off. I got off easy it was dial so it was not so bad.
Guessing they and 3 and one oil offered a deal to advertise. That's okay though!! Products I use regular!
It took me a while before I realized Lava is a soap
Pumped you got a sponsor. That’s awesome buddy!
Hey Mustie, I think I have some 20x10.00-8 tires out in my storage that might fit that thing. No rims but good tires. I replaced the ones on my John Deere. If you want them, just PM me and I'll get an address and get them to you
Herr Doktor Professor Mustie.
Another great vlog and I have no problem with you taking on sponsors as long as the plugs are kept short.
I especially loved the Lighthouse scene at the end.
Most lighthouses are now either privately owned or owned by state or local government agencies.
The owners don't own the light tower itself.
Those remain the property of the US Coast Guard and the owners have to allow Coast Guard personnel on the property to maintain the light.
Many offshore and onshore ones are now B & B's.
Many of the offshore one's were supplied by the helo I flew on (Sikorski single engine HH52a Seaguard) as the Flight Mech. / hoist operator when they were still manned by Coastie crews.
All are automated now.
Thank you for sharing your amazing video
Another fine tutorial on small engine resurrection. Nice save with recoil starter. As for Lava, I have a bottle of the liquid Lava Hand Cleaner on the sink, apparently no longer in stock. Too bad.
