I just wanted to say thanks sharing this I lived in orange park for a while and had the chance to watch them that far back I'm 65 and I miss all them times God bless America 🇺🇸
Saw them October 1976 Seattle. Every song was just power and musical excellence. Never forget Ronnie on stage barefoot and Free Bird live. Just greatness at their peak. What a priceless experience and memories! They'll never be forgotten. RiP all.
There is something about them. Character in all of them. They just fit. By the way, Billy Powell, what an amazing pianist. Probably the best Ive ever heard. God rest all their souls.
Allen was definitely one of a kind sadly I don’t think he got the recognition he truly deserved. Unfortunately his life had too many problems & ultimately contributed to his early death. The Lynyrd Skynyrd band was one of the greatest southern rock bands of its time due to the top notch musicians who played their hearts out.
Love💕 these old concerts of Ronnie and seeing Steve in one is so great. I love to watch him and Ronnie sing “ you got that Right “. VERY NICE. !!!💜💚💙❤️🔥💚💙💜💛💙❤️🔥💛💙💜💚this whole concert is epic as hell. 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼
Man I can watch and listen to these guys all day everyday. It’s such a shame Ronnie died when they were on top and getting even better constantly. I know he would’ve written songs that would be even more popular than Freebird or Sweet Home Alabama. They aren’t even my favorite songs he wrote but I love them.
I have all skynyrd’s albums except for LS recording’s from muscle shoals but i downloaded it the other day. I also downloaded “Gimmie back my bullets” and nothin fancy for my playlist. I’m gonna download all of em. Nothin like a great Skynyrd Concert. I never got to see Ronnie Alan Steve or Cassie but I’ve been 3 times to see Johnny Hughie Rickey and Gary. Miss Gary a lot, beautiful human. These guys are very special to me. 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼
Oh I just have to say that Alan and Gary are awesome to. All of these guys are amazing ❤😊this song is bad ass!!!!!!! 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼. 🔥 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼 And so is Ronnie, bad ass !! Ronnie I miss you !!!!
There wasn't a band around in this era that could out perform this lineup...could hold their own against anybody...that's reason Pete Townsend said they wouldn't ever open for the who anymore...
I played in Columbia South Carolina in Spartanburg and a crash between Spartanburg in a small from Mississippi I was pissed cuz my brother was going to take me but my parents wouldn't let me go cuz I was like 14 and they knew they'd be smoking dope and drinking liquor. I was one pissed off little fella when I found out they crashed and I never get my opportunity to see him in concert. So I went to the tribute tour and it was damn good
My Brother in Law worked for Air Kaman where their plane was based when in Jax., FL. He took me with him to wash the plane when I was 15 in the summer of '77. They were probably pissed to find I ate a bunch of the snacks and drank the sodas. Luckily the liquor cooler was locked. 😅😂
Heard Sweethome Alabama the first time cruising with my friends in a 69 camaro smokin a fatty of some acapolco gold it just dont get no cooler than that sorry yall aint me
Allan was Ronnie’s right hand man. Look at the stage set up. At the same time when you are comparing giants, how much difference was thee between Allan and Gary. A lot so they worked well under Ronnie. Steve brought a new sound to the band. Musicians are unfaithful but fare. Hence, Steely Dan.
Allen Collins was a BAD ASS on a guitar! God rest his soul!
2024, and never saw this footage...cool. I love when Allen starts hoppin around...one of the best.
Never gets old. Grew up listening to them every other Saturday at my grandparents' house while the adults played poker.
Love that the boys from the Outlaws joined in on T for Texas - what a treat!
Nice

Great times! Great musicians! Rocked with them then. And still to this day ❤
