- Passing through the crucible of PVP in Stranglethorn Vale is a path we all must tread. The ever-present fear of hearing a twig snap (or the Stealth-sound) somewhere in your vicinity can be hard to let go, even after all these years!
Of course I had to at some point make an homage to all of us who left our bones behind on the jungle floor, and all those ahem "super-cool dudes" who spent their valuable time slaughtering lowbies.

Lets not forget the original wetlands ganking gauntlet run every night elf player had to make to get to Ironforge. A level 60 undead rogue named Boogieman used to welcome every new player to the game on my server right by the Dun Algaz entrance. Good times.
The Wetlands run was a Rite of Passage for sure, ganking or not.
Ah yes.. Crossing the Wetlands and aggroing every crocolisk within ten miles.

Funny fact. The area Ashenvale, another hotbed of world pvp, was named like that because it sounds very similar to Passchendaele, the most bloody battlefield of WW1.

I love how much recognisable is this humor to me and other (former) players of WoW 😀 This is just perfect. I watch the the video, i see it, i hear it, i feel it. It's like a time machine or teleport 😀
As someone who went through Cutthroat Vale during Vanilla, this is 100% accurate. Albeit I was on the Horde just watching Alliance get mowed down by lvl 60 gank squads while I quested uninterrupted, but still.
Assistant: "Sir, sir the assets for our animation are here!"
Groak: "Great, let's have a look then."
Assistant: "...but those are... those faces have like 3 or 4 polygons each!"
Gorak (pulling up his sleeves): "I can make this work."
So far my favourite of them all. This made me feel so many feelings.

this is exactly why I never played on a Pvp realm and the one time my friends convinced me to give one a try I stayed well away from STV questing in that place was bad enough early game without having to worry about players ganking you.

A touch of realism I was expecting was a geared level 60 warrior, patrolling stv on the Alliance, to counter the rogues, causing a guild war to ensue.

I love not only the quality of animation, but the sheer story telling this man is capable of with no voice lines whatsoever. Hope this guy has a future in professional studios of animation as writer or something.

I think my favorite is when the zombie rogue cuts the rope on the wooden bridge and Miss Indiana Jones falls into a waiting crocolisk with dinnerware. Reminds me of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom Crocodile bridge at the end.

Personal story. It was 4 am, running from Booty Bay to the Ruins. I’m chatting with two of my buddies right behind me watching me play.
“It’s kinda nice playing this early. Not a soul in sight”
No sooner than I said it. SAP. Out from behind, a troll rogue unstealths. Then another. And another. And another. And another. 5 horde rogues un stealth, /lol, /dance, then one at a time restealth. Resap. And perfectly deplete my HP with a ambush. Haunting. But hilarious.
I knew it was gonna be another great video since the moment I saw the sudden weather change once you cross that bridge 🥰
STV will always be one of my top favorite areas.
