Funny thing is that I bought a 400pk of different sized glow in the dark dots and stars and I use them to cover staple, nail and drywall anchor holes whenever I remove something from my walls of ceiling lol
Thank you so much for this in depth video!! I had been waiting for your Sky Lite Evolve review for a while! Glad you made it a comparison video against a "2.0" model projector. I was hoping you'd do that! lol I only wish you would have shown off more of the Evolve's cloud colors because I feel like that is one of the main advantages it has against the 2.0 models: It has more colors overall. I really wanted to see what the green stars on the Evolve looked like against cyan clouds, light blue/light pinkish clouds, pink/orangish clouds, etc, instead of only the magenta (red/blue) setting. And especially since almost all the reviews/pics I've seen of the Evolve so far almost always show off the blue stars instead of the green stars. Either way, fantastic video as always! Always love your lighting and projector reviews and how detailed you are. I definitely wanna add an Evolve to my trip cave lmao (r/tripcaves shout out haha)
Hahah would be great for your trip cave! I showed off the presets it came with, I feel like those were the best colors from my personal tests. Anyhow, could always be more in depth right! Thanks for watching and dropping some feedback. Cheers friend.
UPDATE: after owning the Evolve myself since early October '22 (about 4 months so far as of this comment), I can honestly say I love it! Even if the 2.0's colors are a little more vivid, the Evolve's nebulas look a little more "realistic"-more like an actual nebula, as opposed to the 2.0. Also, the Evolve's app is wayyy better and faster to boot up as opposed to the 2.0's app. And the way the Evolve's cloud colors fade from one setting to the next looks a lot more smooth and seamless. I just wish the Evolve truly had orange and yellow cloud colors. The color wheel that the Evolve's app has is pretty misleading. Selecting orange or yellow hues will give you greenish-looking clouds. Overall, the Evolve is very nice!
I like the blend of colors better on the evolve for the spacey nebula vibe, and that it’s moodier. I want mine more for chilling out and falling asleep peacefully. I think the 2.0 is more saturated, bold and dualistic. The magenta and the blue are more divided like opposing players and I can see someone like a gamer liking that better. Great review! I’m so detail oriented especially when buying things.
Totally agree. I recently bought both an Evolve and a Galaxy 2.0 (different brand but same thing). The 2.0 is older tech and doesn’t mix the RGB at all. The Evolve does and adds some white. Also the way the nebula moves is more natural (if one can call it that) and it seems sharper, more “hi-res”. Aside from this the controls look more modern and work nicer in the smart home app, it comes with a PSU included (2.0 not) and the cord has a subtly backlit switch. The switch is not really needed for me since I almost exclusively control it through the app but I can see in other uses it has value. The problem that the ball can’t always be positioned properly because of the cord I “solved” by keeping the plastic bag on the “foot”. I returned the “2.0” mode to Amazon and ordered a second Evolve because my living room is pretty large. I also got a smoke generator in the mean time and this makes stuff even more fun. The laser beams clearly show up in the smoke, but also the light of the nebula. Some other lighting toys I already had really sprang to life with the smoke in the room. Anyway, highly recommend the Evolve mostly for it’s much nicer and realistic nebula.
Good review, thanks you! I own the Evolve with blue stars. My unit is slightly less bright than the Sky Lite 2.0 however I do appreciate the cyan color and the addition of the white LED. My one complaint would be that the LED colors don't actually combine to make new colors like yellow and orange as suggested by the color wheel in the app (nicely demonstrated in the review). Overall in my experience the light projection on this model is different but not necessarily better than the previous generation BlissLights projector. However, the app and design of the newer Evolve light is a big improvement.
I am torn between Skylite 2.0 and Evolve. the price is almost double for evolve. What would be your recommendation between the two when 2.0 35 USD, evolve is 67 USD ?
@@hiozufacik the evolve is the better option, in my opinion. It has a more aesthetic and functional design and color presentation. The easier ui on the app is most important since that is what I use to control the light. It's ability to connect with my digital assistant alexa is my favorite feature. I can use voice commands to turn the projector on or off.
I wish they could figure out how to do less grid, it ruins it on all three tested. If they could have 3 or 4 grids going in different directions it would be cool. I want to get lost in looking at the stars, and all I can concentrate on is how all the stars move together in a grid like fashion. Was hoping it would have been perfected by now, we are years into it and it never seems to evolve. Good review though 👍
Hey Wackit! I find the GP 2.0 is not as grid like when it's being used in a more practical ceiling type setting, defintiely not as noticeable, just try it out and see what you think! The technical tests 8ft from a screen always make it seem a bit more grid like I find to using it.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE It would be interesting to see how the Evolve looks with it's diffraction piece swapped with the one in the GP 2.0, or the GP 2.0 with the nebula disk from the Evolve.
Thank you so much for your comparison videos, I’m shocking when it comes to shopping online I like to see the product up close and your video gave me the confidence to decide which Projector was for me. And the addition schedules and timers means it’s the perfect unit for sleep, I hate waking up to bright lights but love falling asleep to them 😂 Liked and subscribed thanks for the content

I have to go with the Evolve over the Galaxy for just the opposite reason as you. I prefer the nebula to be softer. However, I am torn between the blue stars and the green. I actually love when the two are used together.
I would like to see one looking like the old fashioned stage lights with the barn door flaps to control the spread. How cool would it be if you project onto the ceiling only, making it look like your room is open to the stars, an effect that is lost if the image is also projected onto the walls.
I received mine yesterday and in the instructions it says “Remove protective film sticker from laser aperture”. I noticed it didn’t have any protective film that I can see. Anybody else come across this?

Question for the creator or anyone who bought this… Why the colour wheel features yellow but the lights for these are always just red, green or blue? Aren’t they capable of mixing the colours? R+G= yellow, for instance… is it because of the 3D space? So the colours don’t really blend?
Bought the Evolve for only 40 euros on Dutch Amazon. IMHO it’s the much better projector because of the more natural, colour mixed and “sharper” nebula.
How does the size and brightness of the stars compare to the skylite 1 and 2? I have the 1.0 and 2.0 and primarily use the stars only and was thinking about upgrading but am hesitant because the evolves stars appear smaller and nowhere near as bright as the older models in the video .
I was hoping the Blisslight Evolve would be featured here at some point. I wound up getting a set of Blisslight Evolves after trying the Galaxy Projector 2.0 in blue and I'm keeping the Evolves for my own use. I even liked them enough to get more sets as holiday gifts this year. Evolve pros: Laser brightness setting can be set much dimmer than the GP 2.0 (better for sleep) RCBW LEDs make fresh color mixes (but lack a true green) Full tilt angle instead of just 3 positions. Keep the base in its plastic baggy though as it keeps the orb from easily moving out of position. I own blisslight products, I’d def go with a blisslight yea the lights are brighter on the gp2.0 but it real life the brightness on the evolve is plenty and the gp2.0 isn’t as realistic as the evolve imo. And the spread is better on the evolve.
Sooooo THOROUGH, bruh!!! I appreciate it. I'd bn looking for an inexpensive "mood" lighting / stage setting option as a "smooth lounge" dj. I THINK I just found it. Thank YOU!!!!
I've read in reviews that the Skylight Evolve is weighed down by the USB cable when it is plugged in and there can be problems getting it to stay where you want it pointed. Did you experience that at all?
I read about this, too. When I unpacked mine to use I just left the base in its plastic bag it came in. Not elegant but it provides enough grip to keep the orb from moving on its own.
I have the Sega flux, it's great, however you need a dark room, it's a projector rather than laser, so it doesn't work if you want to have it with other smart lights, you need a dark room, which is a shame, it has a place but you want to have both maybe for different moods.
@@tajamalrafiq3651 They are really very different, did you see the video he did about the sega one? :) It is a great device, I just want something for when I have all my other lights on though, even when dim you can barely see the sega projector, you need all other lights off, but if you do that, then it's more realistic!
@@SmarkySmarkz I have seen Sega one and flux videos, flux is more clear than one I guess. I want to use it when going to sleep, to relive my time when I was a kid, sleeping outside and looking at night sky and counting stars. 🙄🤔😀🌠
I just got one and Im disappointed. It doesn't have much coverage or light the room much at all. I was hoping maybe there was a trick to make it look better. Thanks for the review
I just bought Sky Lite 2.0 2 weeks ago without knowing this exists and there isn't that much of a difference between how much they cost too such a bummer..
I know right, I would take a small nebula but still has real colors and true colors to them and the stars is 100 percent better than these other ones and the astronaut is freaking awesome n much smaller. I’m going to order it on Amazon day. Do u have it by chance 😊
Is the blisshome skylite evolve a scam? The app wants my wifi password and I don't see why that is needed... it's a Bluetooth device. And while they may act like it is necessary to send updates... im worried its using my router for its own use
I want an off/on button! Wrote the Company but their directions did not help. I must pull the power cord out every night to shut it off. Ruins the mood of relaxing. Why not a simple on /off button for those of us trying to relax before sleep...
I just received the evolve and would like to point out 2 issues that are very annoying. 1. The laser hits me in the eye no matter if I place in on a low shelf or higher up. Lower would be preferred for better coverage and overall effect but the laser issue prevents me from keeping it low. 2. The unit slides around too easily in the base. They should rough this up a nit to give some tackiness so the unit doesn't move around. This is especially important when placing the unit on a higher shelf. I have to use an extension cord and the weight of the plug in the USB port pulls it down After an hour or so of trying to areas of room i had a massive headache, not just out of frusrtation, but from the laser constantly hitting my eyes. I have packed the unit up and am returning it.
Crappy result, you can see just a grid for the stars and not very natural at all. Way too saturated too, I need a paper bag here. I mean come on, this is supposed to be an upgrade and looks exactly the same, were is the green?
Pretty cool, we've come a long way from sticking glow in the dark stars to our ceiling lol

When you having another live stream?
Sooooo THOROUGH, bruh!!! I appreciate it.
I'd bn looking for an inexpensive "mood" lighting / stage setting option as a "smooth lounge" dj.
I THINK I just found it. Thank YOU!!!!
Thanks for supporting Vinz!
@@RyokoYaksa That's good to know. Thank you.
As long as the cable has slack and is not being pulled on then you'll have no issues.
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE Thank you.
If you can adjust the position of the projector, Please show with the lights on.
I do show that during the unboxing.
Have you compared Sky with Sega light projector? Superp videos, much, couldn't any of this information anywhere. Keep up the good work. 👍
I have the Sega flux, it's great, however you need a dark room, it's a projector rather than laser, so it doesn't work if you want to have it with other smart lights, you need a dark room, which is a shame, it has a place but you want to have both maybe for different moods.
@@SmarkySmarkz I want something good, which works with lights switched off? I’m not sure which brand to choose
You made it a bit more difficult to choose 😂
@@tajamalrafiq3651 They are really very different, did you see the video he did about the sega one? :) It is a great device, I just want something for when I have all my other lights on though, even when dim you can barely see the sega projector, you need all other lights off, but if you do that, then it's more realistic!
@@SmarkySmarkz I have seen Sega one and flux videos, flux is more clear than one I guess. I want to use it when going to sleep, to relive my time when I was a kid, sleeping outside and looking at night sky and counting stars. 🙄🤔😀🌠
I just bought the Bliss Radia ...its awesome
Nice! I covered something super similar here - ruclips.net/video/q8_zytaKWTw/видео.html&
Interesting that the blue stars on the Blisslights is much more pin point than the green.
What about the sound?
Can either do anything other than green stars?
You can buy in Blue or Green star variations as I've shown in the video.
Great video !!
Thanks for the visit Sarcastic!
I just got one and Im disappointed. It doesn't have much coverage or light the room much at all. I was hoping maybe there was a trick to make it look better. Thanks for the review
I prefer grid pattern on the bliss light. The galaxy star pattern is more circular, which leads the eye and breaks the fantasy…
The circles! Once you see them, you'll never not see them. As far as I know, there are not a dozen perfectly circular constellations in space.
I just bought Sky Lite 2.0 2 weeks ago without knowing this exists and there isn't that much of a difference between how much they cost too such a bummer..
Is it possible to use it when it's not plugged in ??
You can power it with a USB battery bank if you want.
Question pls can we reduce star number it’s looks to much
Can only dim the stars.
Hi, that new one look awesome!🤩
I think so too!
@@FUTURESPACECOLLECTIVE
Does it have bluetooth to play music?
What are the prices
Price links in description
To be honest the more premium the worse the star patterns are definitely going for the astronaut ❤
I know right, I would take a small nebula but still has real colors and true colors to them and the stars is 100 percent better than these other ones and the astronaut is freaking awesome n much smaller. I’m going to order it on Amazon day. Do u have it by chance 😊
Stars are mirrored at 180° you can see their patterns. But yes, they are bright and impressive.
So... Is Blisslights Sky Lite Evolve better?
More of a personal preference, both are great.
Where can I get those lighting up cubes that you have in your game room ?! They’re sweet
Right here, link in description of this vid: ruclips.net/video/fe87VyOeJF0/видео.html
Is it possible to switch off the stars? They are always just awful. Does it have a remote?
Yes, you can switch off the stars. Use the app for control!
Is the 2.0 compatible with Alexa?
Sure is.
Not in depth enough. Where is the app set up instructions 😢
Is the blisshome skylite evolve a scam? The app wants my wifi password and I don't see why that is needed... it's a Bluetooth device. And while they may act like it is necessary to send updates... im worried its using my router for its own use
It needs wifi if you want to control it with wifi or connect into your smart home.
Still waiting for govee to to release their galaxy projector that syncs with their tv immersion kit
Yea that will be sweet, be reviewing one for sure!
I want an off/on button! Wrote the Company but their directions did not help. I must pull the power cord out every night to shut it off. Ruins the mood of relaxing. Why not a simple on /off button for those of us trying to relax before sleep...
Simple solution here: amzn.to/3RVGYvD - If your into smart home, you can just voice control it on/off with a smart outlet: amzn.to/3W8XH0S
What's the smoothest light out there though? The stuttering makes me nauseous
I have to use an extension cord and the weight of the plug in the USB port pulls it down
After an hour or so of trying to areas of room i had a massive headache, not just out of frusrtation, but from the laser constantly hitting my eyes.
I have packed the unit up and am returning it.
Hybercube going strong in the background.
Solid product! Been enjoying it!
Nice!!😀😀
Thankd for watching.
Can I pair this thing with a usb power bank? Would any power bank work?
I had to get this...with a coupon of course.
The stars stink - but the nebula isn’t bad!!
Why they don’t upload the real map of stars ? 😊
They do actually, I've reviewed one here! ruclips.net/video/AIHsU6qARF8/видео.html
ffs mute the audio when you're calling Alexa/Google home
The galaxy 2.0 the green lasers look like there in circles and also herd these galaxy 2.0 customer service is horrific and many many complaints.
I wish Galaxy didn’t have to be ordered from the company. I haven’t ordered from them before.
Until they get rid of the repetitive grid it's useless imo.
sweet!
Oh yeah!
Crappy result, you can see just a grid for the stars and not very natural at all. Way too saturated too, I need a paper bag here.
I mean come on, this is supposed to be an upgrade and looks exactly the same, were is the green?
😍
No one wants green stars.
Well it’s either green or blue, White lasers don’t exist bro.
