Why do I even need wifi if this device has Bluetooth? Seems strange to need an account and internet when this device should be able to interact with the app directly through Bluetooth. Seems nefarious, actually.
Everyone’s criticism of any brand of these Star projectors is the fact that it’s one big noticeable pattern/grid of stars . It has to twinkle and look random like a real planetarium if y’all came out with that I’d buy one immediately
My lights went offline and I can't get them connected back to the app, even after full-on removing the devices and doing resets over and over and over again. So frustrated. 😤😡
Does the App still want access to your photos and all those things people have previously complained about? Or has bliss lights addressed this in the evolve model? Or any model if so which model?
It would be really nice if this product had directions in the box vs having to look them up AND if they actually were instructions. Like I shouldn't have to Google and go to RUclips to set up my light FFS
Hello. Was the app written by US developers? Does the device connect to a Chinese server? I wish information like this was documented at this point and you didn't have to ask for it. Thank you.
I have one of these and absolutely love it! Definitely the best projector light on the market. I do have a concern about it though as it seems to turn on at random times throughout the day. Is there a fix for that coming out in the near future? I've tried turning off the automation and just putting it on a timer and it still didn't fix the issue. If you could get that fixed in the next software update, that would be greatly appreciated. My other suggestion would be with the automation: if you could select which theme you would like it to use when it turns on that would make this product perfect!
So glad you're enjoying it! Right now, I believe the Automations use the last-interacted with theme, but that's a great suggestion. I'll pass it to our development team. We are concerned to hear that it's turning on randomly. That shouldn't be happening. We recommend removing the light from the app (selecting clear data), re-connecting it, and also checking for firmware updates (you can check for updates in the device settings - pen and paper icon). If that doesn't fix the issue, please reach out to our support team so we can further assist you or replace the unit! support@blisslights.com
Hello, a question: I don't have wifi at home. Instead, I use my iphone's data and use the cell phone as a hotspot that I tether or pair with other devices, like my computer, to get internet connection. Would that work with the Blisslights Evolve projector's app?
Is there an API that we could use to better schedule the effects of the device? for example: transition from effect x to y in 5 secs and then remain 10 seconds in effect z
At the moment, effects can only transition in equal time increments, but you could use the breathe setting to accomplish your example by putting effect z twice in a row. That's a good feature suggestion, though! I'll pass your request on to our engineers
Y’all make this look so easy. For the life of me this thing will not work…. It keeps timing out or saying it’s not connected to the router when it is. Idk how to work this thing???? Any help will be appreciated
@@jackdavis007 I tried part of this technique as well. My steps: 1) Using an iPhone 10 I deleted the app then reinstalled it making sure that I allowed a Bluetooth connection and anything else that would allow it to connect. 2) I plugged in the device closer to the router then made sure I had a 2.4/5.0 router. 3) It took a few tries but I held and released the paring button until it successfully connected in the app then followed the prompts until it said success. At that point everything else was a breeze and it fully connected and works. That process took me about 15 min.
Mine when I plug it is not turning on is this normal?Do I have to press something to open?I oress also the button but it turns on for a sec and then closes?!

Yeah I’m sending this back to Amazon. There is simply no excuse for this device to require a mandatory Wi-Fi connection, your exact location data, photo access, and a email account to operate at least it’s most basic functions. This is among the worst products I’ve ever purchased with no information on how to fix this anywhere.
Hi Mika - sorry to hear you're having difficulty connecting. The Evolve requires a WiFi connection for initial pairing, but after that it should be able to connect to the app via Bluetooth only. I'd recommend double-checking to make sure you're using the latest version of BlissHome app and that you have auto-updates turned on in the Evolve device settings. That way you will always be up to date as we roll out improvements and bug fixes! If you need additional assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team: support@blisslights.com or 888-868-4603
@@PrettyIndependent1 It’s no different than giving a PS5, microwave or copier your password. The main issue is the paring of the darn thing, seems overly complicated.
The effect is incredible. But I gave up on the app. To access it and use all the features of the light, you have to give too many permissions and it made me uncomfortable. For instance, notifications? This is a light. What do I need to be notified of? Bluetooth discoverability… OK. You're using Bluetooth to find the light. Then why do you need my Wi-Fi password? And why would I want to give a light access to my location? It says so it knows weather and can do certain effects… The whole thing just seems sketchy. Not to mention, no instructions in the box. Just an advertisement to buy more of their products. how much would a slip of paper with a QR code leading to a webpage with instructions cost to print? Again, I really love the light and I'm using the limited features you get without giving them your first child to use the app. So if you considering getting one, this one's great. Just don't f#ck with their digital unless you are protected.
This is so dumb dude the fact that you make it complicated to connect to it and just say we’ll change your Wi-Fi and don’t explain how to do it is ridiculous
why can’t u just use bluetooth
