1:04:00 a lot of people dont get this but by offering him a hand he cant shake since his arms ruined, Armstrong is basically saying "you don't have a choice. join us and live to fight another day, or die here".
besides, Sam said before his fight in the main story that the war is about ideals to him, which means him and Armstrong agreed to work together.

Blade Wolf DLC isn't really boring but it's more of a story and stealth focused DLC than Sam's DLC is. It's worth playing if you're interested, but the main appeal of it comes from the final boss (which isn't hard to reach because its like, half a main story level worth of gameplay)

to be fair, besides the final boss it isnt really a good dlc. i do love the blade wolf dlc but it really is just "get stealth kills or get jumped to hell, then fight funny mech" for 10 minutes unlike sam's.

jetstream sam's gameplay is way different to raiden, for the most part. it focuses more on the taunt and charge attacks, dodging is also more optimal than parrying cause he has more I-frams on it. the taunt makes enemies more aggressive but also take more damage. paring this with a charged heavy could allow you to 2 shot a boss if you play right. personally I think his gameplay is better than raiden's, but it's really up to preference
