- The Pokemon TCG history is long and rich and today we are going to have a deep and in-depth look at all the cards/ decks that have contributed to that history.
By filling a binder with around 300 cards we can tell the story of the pokemon tcg and boy oh boy its a fun one.
Many thanks to @OmniPoke for letting me use some of these cards for this video.

I really enjoy playing the pokemon tcg nothing is better then a good pokemon card pack opening if the pokemon cards are worth money its even better. getting into a pokemon card battle is also fun. Of course playing the pokemon tcg is my forte! like how to build a pokemon deck and playing the pokemon tcg online is how I spend most of my evenings. Pokemon tcg tournament are also great and if you even need any help on how to play the pokemon tcg then let me know! Dont forget you can also open pokemon tcg pack online too! Ive never got to open packs with leonhart or randolph but hopefully will soon! Not pokemon vgc pokemon vgc online or pokemon tcg world championships. Building pokemon decks is very fun! watching other deck profiles and deck lists is very helpful
That binder is GORGEOUS and also a wonderful idea I have been doing that recently with just my favorite decks after they rotate but doing one for the whole history of the TCG sounds like so much fun
That will be a fun idea for sure!
@@BurtsPTCG currently following along in the video with a document so I can figure out how I can make this binder for myself lol
Haha if was want I can send you the raw video of the folder so it's easier for you to track? :)
It's so disorienting seeing gen 5 at the middle of the video. When I see gen 5 I'm expecting to be at the end 😂 guess I'm getting old
Omg I know exactly what you mean 🤣 when I was editing I was like "oh I'm at gen 5, I'm almost there" then the video length doubled 🤣😭
That's crazy I have exactly 70 minutes to spend
Works out well then ;p
love the presentation with the physical cards, great work as always
Thank you so much! 🙏 Makes the videos much longer/harder to make but definitely worth it :)
We need a "cards nee players wouldnt believe existed" video. Think twins being Starbirth for decks behind on prizes or palkia and dialga legend... adding infinite prizes to your opponent. It would be really fun
I have something kinda along those like in the works 👀
As someone who started playing only a few months ago, this was extremely interesting!
Love to hear it my friend! Glad you liked it 🙌
i’ve been watching your vids for a while but didn’t realize you were a commentator! thanks for sharing your collection with us
I started this season for TPCI! 🙌 Thank you for your support! 🙏
Ayyy keep the essay vids coming Professor Burts! 💪💪 You're really good at explaining the story/mechanics of the cards for experienced players but also new players and people who don't play. Amazing stuff!
Thank you so much! That's exactly what I aim for so everyone can enjoy 🙌
I’m getting into the tcg like right now, this is so interesting to watch! Thank you for a really cool video!
Ayo thank you so much! Appreciate your support 🙏🙌
Man you put so much effort into these videos
Aha I really do! Want them too look 🔥
casually flexing that moobreon i see youuuu. very well put together video!!
Haha it wasn't mine don't worry 🤣😭 thank you for your support! 🙌
Thank you for perfect background noise while I sculpt
🤣Glad to help! 🙌
Fantastic video and super nostalgic - thanks!
Thank you so much! Really appreciate it 🙌
Love the video! As someone who has gotten in and out of the game over the last 10-12 years, it's cool to get this kind of information that I missed out on. Thanks!
Glad to hear it my friend! 🙌🙏
I love how you educate us about the TCG history thank you soo much you’re channel is very unique
Thank you so much! Means a lot honestly 😭🙏
2 uploads in 2 weeks 😳 Shay is treating us
Haha I try my best 🤣🙏 thank you all your support :)
Amazing video Burt, can't imagine how much effort this video took. Good stuff!
Thank you so much! It was a, long one but so worth it 🙌
love this type of video! awesome job!
Thank you for your support! Means a lot 🙌
I'm amazed how much quality and how much research you have done for making this kind of videos. Keep your work on this high, because only few are on top tier in TCG and you are one of them.
In next season I hope to be one of the best in play to have oportunity to talk after one of victory on stream in regio or champiionships :D
Thank you so much for this! Means a lot 😭🙏 and hopefully that will happen!
Oh man, you drop this the same week that Twilight Masquerade drops. We eating good this week!
Haha! I didn't even think of that! Glad you enjoyed the video! 🙌
@@BurtsPTCG I didn't touch the game since base set and came back last year, so your videos have been very valuable to helping me get acclimated, and I appreciate it.
Also if you could make more videos on the 2016/2017/2018 format I'd greatly appreciate that! Especially nostalgic decks like Metagross gx, tool drop, octilery and gallade etc.
Will give it a thought! Thanks for the support and feedback :)
i think you forgot Drifloon which can onehit almost everything for a 1 prizer
This video was made before gardevoir had to start utilizing Driftloon as a main attacker tbf!
damn i've been looking for a video like that for a while!
Ayo! Love to hear it! It was meant to be clearly 👀🤣
so nostalgic
That's what I was aiming for 🙌🙏
Goated video
Thank you so much 🙏 means a lot 🙌
Surprised you skipped over Movie Promo Mewtwo, Jungle Mr. Mime and Fossil Magmar. Nonetheless, fantastic overview of the entire meta history!
I really wanted to try keep this to an hour so was very cut throat what cards got mentioned unfortunately 😭 thank you for the support! 🙌
roughly how much would it cost to recreate this binder? Im interested because this is such a cool idea.
That is a good question! If your clever with choices and don't mind using world championships cards it would be much cheaper! But overall im not sure 😭
Imagine not mentioning Hisuian Decidueye during the Arceus segment 🥺
Fair point! I wanted to keep this as close to an hour as possible so was very cut throat what cards got mentioned 🤣😭
Tapu Koko looks an awfully like Dusknoir and Trevenant these days. Bro had a glow up
👀 There's always one mistake 🤣😭
@@BurtsPTCG it happens man 😂
Mega Audino is my all time favorite deck.
It was a fantastic story!
@@BurtsPTCG It definitely required a very smart look at WOLRD format. So impressive.
I love these long form deep dives! Could I request some video content as well?
My favourite content to make! What ideas do you have? I'm always listening! Can DM on twitter if you like? :)
Or can comment here too! I'm very interested :)
@@BurtsPTCG Awesome! I was curious about learning about some single prize attacking decks in the history of the game, as well as decks that functioned without a true draw engine like the genesect/virizion deck. I think the second idea might be harder though due to the prevalence of draw engines in the game. Thanks!
@shangov9639 hmm gotcha! Will jot these ideas down and see what happens! Appreciate the help! 🙌🙌
Man I miss Greninja BREAK, I’m hoping Greninja-ex will be good in the future
We never know! It's very strong at the very least!
uhoh, new burts white noise video just dropped 😂
Thanks!.. I think? 👀🤣
Can confirm Burts is very relaxing to fall asleep to
🤣🤣 Glad I can help :p
tapu lele's face 😳
What's wrong with it? 👀
Slight error on the Dusknoir section. It wasn't necessary for the opponent to have 5, but 4 or more, so they are in effect limited to 3 Benched Pokemon
I see! Thanks for the heads up!
Definitely missed some big decks from the older eras of the game, but enjoyable to watch overall. Feel free to reach out if you ever feel like you might be missing something on these historical scripts
