- This video shows all masks that can be unlocked and worn by characters in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe for Nintendo Switch.
There is a total of 86 masks inspired by iconic characters and bosses from the Kirby series (not only the most popular ones like King Dedede, Meta Knight, Waddle Dee, Magolor, Marx, Susie and so on, but also characters we haven't seen in ages like Pick and Mine) and this video also includes the voices for all those masks with that feature.

Notice how Masked Dedede still uses the old Dedede design (noticable by the eyes' shape) on top of being separate from Forgo Dedede. And this is the first time we CLEARLY see the face of Sectonia's original form.
I think that's the Triple Deluxe Masked Dedede

@@Agent-Dee Not quite the same. I’d say RtDL’s Dedede is more in line with Star Allies and the cutscene model used for KSSU. Drum Dash/Blowout Blast/3D/PR Dedede has smaller eyes (as a whole. He’s got the largest pupils) and seems stouter for lack of a better word. Not as tall as either the Dedede models that preceded or followed him.

Awesome that Drawcia is here, but feels a little odd we got her and not anyone else from a spin off title. Gryll, Necrodeus, Elline and Claycia come to mind.

Drawcia probably gets a unique position due to being the first final boss to get a soul form, along with getting connections in the main games through Paintra and Vividria being sisters to Drawcia, while all those characters are mainly isolated to their respective spinoffs.

I would've preferred they reused Parallel Nightmare's laughs for Nightmare's mask.
They shoud have also gave glacta knight his sound aftect from super kirb clash
I agree. a big missed opportunity is not taking the remixes from super kirby clash. I like the grand doomer remix but it's not in this game which sucks

@elian hg21 magolors is not a main character because he has no major role as plot points for every game, nor does he have any effect on other characters or reoccurring appearances as a main character

Me and some of my friends created a small speculation scene when masks got revealed. We'd watch trailers frame per frame and it was super fun convincing my friends that there was a Pick mask. Super cool seeing it all completed.

If you show this to anyone who's isn't diehard kirby fan you wouldn't recognise half of these masked are reference to the character because this is *ENTIRE MAINLINE KIRBY GAME CHARACTERS!* this is only series of games are required to played ALL MAIN GAMES to understand the reference but anyway this is surely a welcoming feature to anyone who are kirby fans even myself at some point
Well I notice that ribbons hair design is based off this Japanese only character from kirbys dreamland 2 or 1 I can't remember but that character was in another game nintendo Famicom.....I think....

@@goregia764 In Kirby's dream buffet most of the bots names are some of funny reference or joke however there's one that stands out, "Q.Joronia" whose original name is "Taranza & Joronia". The name Joronia is inspired by a type of spider and also a yokai of a spider that can turn into a beautiful woman and can control other spiders. This lead to some speculation that this was Sectonia's original game which this game strengthes by referring to og Sectonia as "old friend"

Kind of, there is a stone transformation in star allies that depicts taranza and pre mirror sectonia together. Though as a stone transformation it is colourless.

Drawcia isn’t canon, and SHE'S THERE. However, those characters along with Elline and Prince Fluff aren’t. And others too. So, basically, they could’ve done it.
To be honest I would love to see them also the reason they're not canon is because they live in a different Dimension!

Besides, Drawcia has been reference multiple times with Paintra’s description and even a few stone moments, so obviously they’d choose her over PF and Elaine. The Anime is a whole different continuity to the games.

Missed chances. The Fairy Queen would've been nicer than Ribbon in another hairstyle. Lololo and Lalala could've been cool, or Tiff and Tuff from the anime.

Ok, why are there 2 Elfilin masks but no mask for Fecto Forgo/Elfilis? They don't even have the spoilers excuse, they made Leongar and Forgo Dedede mask.
leongar and dedede arent really spoilers compared to seeing elfilin as a monster if you haven't played it
Leongar is kinda irrelevant to the plot and Forgo Dedede is early game IIRC. The Fecto Forgo/Elfilis would ruin the surprise for players for who hadn't played it nor beaten it.

I miss Knuckle Joe and the common Dark Matter (I know Gooey has a similar mask, but I miss DM). Also, I'd love some masks based on the anime characters, I remember some games started to have references to it, and now they stopped.

For Who din't understand : Taranza was friend of Sectonia, then Dark Matter taked Sectonia mind and Triple Deluxe happened... the fact it says "Old Friend" means that Queen "Sectonia" was never his friend and Taranza always miss the Sectonia...
