@@haydonj7433 oh yea, Kirby characters can be depressing. I mean, During Star Dream Soul OS, every time you hit their pillers, you can hear Haltmann’s screams. Once you eliminated all of the pillers, you literally killed Haltmann as the pause description. What makes this sadder is that’d like Sectonia , he wasn’t always terrorizing planets, it was only after Star Dream taking away his memories(due to wanting his daughter back) he started becoming a madman.
Another musical easter egg: In Galacta Knight's battle, we all know if you play as Kirby (or Bandana Waddle Dee), it plays Landia's theme for phase 1 and the RTDL Galacta Knight remix for phase 2. However, if you play as Dedede or Meta Knight, the music for phase 1 will be the Moon Warrior's theme from Kirby Fighters 2 and the music for phase 2 is Galacta Knight's theme from Planet Robobot.
Two changes I have to add: - You can now press up while using the Sword ability to charge a sword beam like you could starting with Triple Deluxe. - Phase 2 of the HR-D3 boss fight now has the Dedede boss theme from Forgotten Land playing in the background.
@@samschofield9452 Definitely feels inspired by Skyward Sword. Triple Deluxe was the first game to add that ability iirc and it came out just over 2 years after SS.
The Hal room where you have to wait in 7-2 is most likely the 86 second HAL room as HAL and 86 sound very similar in Japanese for anyone who was wondering.
Don't forget that the 86 second wait COULD potentially be referring to IDF-86 too (Since you have to wait 86 seconds for a HAL in one of the levels of Forgotten Land )
I have two things to say: The boss description you showed for Magolor Soul was the one that shows up in Extra Mode, there are two other boss descriptions for him found in The True Arena, one for his first phase, and one for his second. In the original, if you drop a Super Ability, the star will shatter before you could get a chance to pick it back up. In the deluxe version, when you drop a Super Ability, it’ll stay there, letting you pick it back up. This won’t reset the time you can hold onto the ability though, so be mindful of that.
@@tomward4240 I don’t make videos, but I can say them here: Phase 1: The one-eyed wreath grants power but swallows the soul… It devours, stealing any sense of self… Truly, this crown rules all. Free him from this nightmare! Take his hand and save a new friend! Phase 2: Kirby… Ugh! I hate having to rely on you, and your vacant stare when I revealed my grand plan was truly insulting. Well, let’s see if you can break this thing on my head. If you can, then someday… hee hee hee… I may get to toy with you again!
Mistakes and Clarification! There was a brief editing mistake at the beginning where i don’t show the old models of the characters, sorry about that guys! Also I say tornado in star allies which is NOT in that game. I think I was referring to the green wind effect/element in that game!
6:30 That's the Scope Shot title theme, the VS. Waddle Tank theme plays in the secret path in the Mid-Boss Tower stage. 8:58 Fun fact! Those original animations are still in the game, and play when you get a Super Ability during the Magolor fight!
In the Wii version, Bandana Waddle Dee's death animation saw him staring blankly at the screen as he tumbled away. It was actually kinda creepy 😭 In Deluxe, he now has the same shut-eye expression as Kirby! Really small thing I noticed, but I still thought it was cool 🙏🏾
Another small change I noticed was that when riding Landia, if you use the spiral attack next to a wall, there’s now a small animation of landia bonking it’s head on it instead of just using the move like normal but not going anywhere.
There are a few extra descriptions you missed. Most of them were ones you probably didn't expect would have them. The second one for Magolor soul is the first person description like with Soul of Sectonia (that wasn't translated in first person for English) or Star Dream from Haltmann's perspective. Sphere Doomer "A Super Ability helped you enter this strange space, and a Sphere Doomer has flown in from a different dimension as well! It won't let you steal the energy of the spheres...so brace for an attack!" Double Sphere Doomer "Why does this dimension suddenly feel so dark and murky? Is it because you entered from Halcandra? There are a lot more Doomers here too...and some are even pairing up and working as a team!" Sphere Doomer EX "The portal into this different dimension was opened by a Super Ability. With this space closing as time passes, one single spot holding the spheres now remains...along with a Doomer circling above!" Double Sphere Doomer EX "Halcandra stands alone, only reachable by passing through other dimensions... The Doomers, long ago, had a different form and could warp space and time... Is that why they seek the spheres?" Galacta Knight "An interdimensional tunnel has brought the most powerful warrior in the galaxy before you, and the gem seal keeping it at bay has been broken! Get ready for a dream battle that defies destiny itself!" Magolor Soul True Arena 1 "The one-eyed wreath grants power but swallows the soul... It devours, stealing any sense of self... Truly, this crown rules all. Free him from this nightmare! Take his hand and save a new friend!" Magolor Soul True Arena 2 (When he has no eyes) "Kirby... Ugh! I hate having to rely on you, and your vacant stare when I revealed my grand plan was truly insulting. Well, let's see if you can break this thing on my head. If you can, then someday...hee hee heee...I may get to toy with you again!"

I got 5 things you may have missed- 1- there are 3 hidden Magolors, referencing the hidden Mickey Mouses in Walt Disney World. Also, Magolor calls his theme park the “funnest place in the universe” 2- When you find a hidden Magolor, it plays a little jingle. This is the same jingle that plays when you put the original game in the Wii (or WiiU) 3- In this game, the Waddle Dees have the same animations from Forgotten Land when you talk to them, in the Main Mode and in the theme park. 4- The theme park uses the same engine as Forgotten Land. The frame rates of the characters slow down from a distance to keep the game as a whole from slowing down (think the Three Mage Sisters from Kirby Star Allies- Heroes in Another Dimension) 5- when Kirby uses his taunts on the Warpstar at the theme park, he faces the camera, but if you move while he taunts, he will do his taunts in that direction. Also, while the Waddle Dees will react to Kirby’s taunts, similar to Forgotten Land, the bosses that Magolor invites over time will not respond The theme park I am referencing is Merry Magoland, obviously. Also, I know some of these details have more than one fact in them, but I hope you can still use them!
Kirby's Return to Dreamland already has some of my favorite lore in the franchise but the fact they expanded it is just amazing, HAL Laboratories you've done it again
I think you missed one other detail, some masks (mostly the ones water related) gives you a boost underwater to your bubble attack, the same buff the water ability would give you
Here's everything i know. Whispy uses an actual "roar" in his boss intro. Every bosses phase 2 transition now has the standard sound effect that wasn't in the original. Every super ability has a unique animation when obtaining them. In the original discarding a super ability makes it vanish, however in the remake it now lingers like a normal ability star. Meta knight now has the Galactic Counter from star allies and the sky night sword from Planet robobot. Dedede now has the super dedede jump and Head slide from Star Allies. Bandanna Dee now has the Ground thrust from Star Allies. Festival has a unique animation where Magolor chimes in if helper magolor is enabled. Magolor has a new speech when talking to him after getting all 120 energy spheres in extra mode. He states he isn't actually Halcandran and explains his love for theme parks. A 5th ability room has been added in the starcutter due to the new sand and mecha abilities as well as the single use abilities. The Mini Boss rush tower has unique music depending on the mode and the secret entrance. The normal entrance in main mode plays the standard music. The secret entrance in main mode plays the waddle tank boss theme. The normal entrance in EX Mode plays Macho of Dedede, his boss theme from Star allies. Going through the secret entrance in EX Mode plays History of Kirby Fighters. Numerous songs have been given official names or renamed names. "Under my control" was renamed to "Welcome Your New Overlord" The opening cutscene of Magologue has a flashback of Magolor Soul being defeated, confirming Magolor Soul to be the canonical final fight. Mistilteinn and the credits theme of Magologue have leitmotifs of Kirby Clash, confirming the side game to be canon. The True Arena has been boosted to 22 Boss fights now including the Magologue bosses. The final 5 theme (final 6 in the remake) is now different. HR-D3 to Magolor EX now play a revamp of the 7-3 theme. Before Galacta Knight the original music returns, being the Iceberg Remix. Master Crown playa "Onward to a pain my heart knows well" Magolor Soul plays a completely unique track being "Inward Struggle" Magolor Soul himself has been completely Beefed up in the true arena now boasting faster and more devastating attacks, and even a 2nd health bar. The final Magolor Soul fight plays a remix of "Supreme Rulers Coronation - OVERLORD" which is a remix originally from Star Allies. The 2nd phase adds more instruments to the song as well as the cries of Magolor.
When facing HR-D3: You'll notice that the theme of the fight is Roar of DeDeDe Another 2 details (Even tho it's Magolor Epilogue) is that in the Master Crown fight the dimension that it takes place in seems to be Kirby and the Forgotten Land (What with the bridges and stuff) and the tree is supposably the same tree in the Kirby Clash series (I do wish to state that I get most of my knowledge from lore videos so check out lore people like RPG Monger for some lore and by some I mean a LOT)
Not sure about the bridge, but the building on that dimension has a planet like sphere on top can be seen in Egg Engines. Maybe that place was part of Halcandra long ago but crumbled away into that dimension, or the ancients actually lived there before, who knows.
@@electro5657 From Kirby and the Forgotten Land we can safely assume that a group of people (Possibly the ancients) fled from the Forgotten Land cause of the fact that Leongar says something about people running from whatever had happened there that caused the place to be "Forgotten" (I might be wrong but if you want more info I recommend searching up lore vids like RPG monger) Maybe the Egg you say could be a thing from Forgotten Land but cause of the pov and shifting camera it's hard to tell but where else could the Master crown take you and why would it need to warp reality to get there when it could've just spawned a portal under it?
It is the same tree, yes, but idk about the FL part, as stated in FL Elfilis invaded the planets and I think it’s pretty random if the Master Crown would be there at that specific time, especially since it wasn’t included in any of FL’s Stories
@DDDTJ Maybe it happened before the events of FL? Ik the events of RtDL did and if that's the case wouldn't that mean that it happened before FL and after RtDL? (Even tho it's stated that this is what happened to Magolor after RtDL)
I'm not sure how many people noticed this but as a small star portal opens it first takes the shape of meta knights sword before it takes it star shape, just a really neat thing I noticed and it works well with the lore as we have seen other sword users like galactic knight and maybe dark meta knight use there sword to literally tear a hole through dimensions!😁😉
I also love what Nintendo and Hal Laboratory have done when this original game on Wii was now brought to Nintendo Switch I also love Kirby's new Mecha copy ability and the festival copy from Kirby Star Allies ability makes a return in the game.
In particular, the amount of time you have to wait for the first new HAL room to show up is 86 seconds, so very close to three minutes. This is because 86 can be said in Japanese as, "haru," which is how the studio's name is said in Japanese since they don't have an "L" sound in their vocabulary.
Another thing added is during the 2nd phase of the hr-d3 fight, roar of dedede (the forgotten land dedede theme) plays Also, an interesting tip, the kine and mine masks gives kirby the upgraded water bubble attack you normally get if you used water kirby when swimming
About the level 5-5, there are different songs that are played in the hard path The hard path of the normal mode has the Waddle Tank music (reused from Scope Shot, meaning that despite Scope Shot has been removed, all the 4 song it has are kept) While the hard path of extra mode has Stage of the Partners (from Kirby Fighters 2) Also, HR-D3's second phase no longer have Galacta Knight's theme but Roar of Dedede from Forgotten Land instead (which sounds weird imo)
46: Something worth mentioning because it bugs the heck outta me Bandana Dee’s goggles while underwater are clipping into him because they’re not on him properly
Well here some stuff I found: 1.on the remake's under my control theme a bit after the first minute and a half part of the theme you can hear a line of rock which wasn't in the og 2.bandana dee can now jump out of the ground thrust just like in forgotten land 3.in the another dimension sub levels you can see on the screen rain drops like in super mario 3d world and odyssey though is much more noticable on the arena fights against the doomers 4.while I am sure is the one that known the most if your playing with two joysticks you can taunt with your character like how you could do with the Dpad on forgotten land and dream buffet 5.on the second phase of the true arena magolor soul boss fight there a different pause lore instead of the previous one
I think Flare Beam Kirby probably thinks its a laser pointer or something because for some reason he smiles during it Kirby be like: hey guys look at my laser pointer *murders everyone* *oops*
@Nin10doland Here's another music tidbit. When facing HR-D3 for its 2nd phase, instead of Landia's Theme playing in the background, you hear "Roar of Dedede" from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. This is most likely to reference that HR-D3 was originally owned by King Dedede, as shown from the footage of the cancelled Kirby GCN game.
I love all of the litte fun details and easter eggs that the devs sprinkle into the Kirby games. It really makes thr characters, world and story feel alive :)
Fun coincidence that relates to 10:04. When I got to the penultimate level in Extra Mode (the one before the final boss), when I slashed the volcano open, I got the Morpho Knight Sword. Since this was the final instance of a Super Ability being used to destroy something that needs one (excluding the final boss's shield), it truly felt like a finale and it made me really happy. Keep in mind that the Morpho Knight Sword (as you have heard in the video) is extremely rare and it could've easily popped up at a point that isn't really important.
A cool and interesting thing I found out about the game that was probably in the original is that if you have the water ability and you go in the water, you have double the water gun strength.
Here’s a detail about the magalor epilogue If you count the ethereal alter as the last world the worlds spell out apple and if you’ve played through the mode you know wh
1:12 I think there was an editing error on your part because no one is seeing the old models. Oops 5:51 Weirdly enough, the game claims that the theme park is on another planet or in another reality. Translation error? Possibly. 6:30 no, it plays the main theme of Scope Shot 12:50 yup, and this theme plays when Robo Dedede is on his last legs 16:16 however, to give you a fighting chance, the health of the bosses from Magolor Epilogue are decreased 17:07 you forgot the pause screen lore for the sphere doomers, the sphere doomers ex, galacta knight, and the 2 phases of Magolor Soul EX’s True Arena Counterpart All in all, despite these flaws, this video was great nevertheless. I applaud you
-Extra mode also removes a majority of the Healing items found in each stage, increasing the difficulty a surprising amount.- nvm it was quite literally the next point afterwards, I was skipping through ngl. I'd also like to point out that Magolor Soul's Extra Mode description makes the crown even more mysterious despite everything we know about it. We already know that the Master Crown is mostly sentient, but the new description implies its sentience is actually the culmination of all who have worn the crown prior. Which leads me to believe the crown doesn't just overpower and smother the soul, it assimilates the soul into its conscience. Also, the True Arena Soul descriptions are different. Phase 1 elaborates on the crown's ability to erase/overpower the soul, where phase 2 sees Magolor reluctantly asking for help while promising to toy with Kirby again should he survive.
I rather believe that the phase 2 lore is meant to show that Magolors character is truly evil after all, despite seemingly getting a redemption arc in his epilogue, which could possibly lead to him becoming an antagonist again in future Kirby titles. From what I can tell, the animation after the True Arena battle shows this is when the Magolor Epilogue starts, and that eventually into the Kirby Clash series. So the Magolor there is now canonically the same Magolor from this game. For all we know, he might have been using Kirby there for some nefarious plan once more, like getting his hands on the Amazing Mirror.
@@mondsternleinch.5253 Nawh, it was said playfully. It only makes sense for it have have been said that way, due to the characterisation given by the epilogue.
13:09 why was that on beat, and for both footages too!? Also quick tip: 16:04 You still have access to the healing items you stored from Merry Magaloland in True Arena, so while yes there is little healing that is outside the storage, you can still spawn heals from the storage
KFL secret (Kirby and the forgotten land) waddle dees will sometimes fall over when they are walking Second secret:waddle dees will not wave back at you if they are reading books
I think one very tiny change is that Sphere Doomers have pause screen descriptions now! Here they are: Regular, just one: A Super Ability helped you enter this strange space, and a Sphere Doomer has flown in from a different dimension as well! It won't let you steal the energy of the spheres...so brace for an attack! Regular, twin: Why does this dimension suddenly feel so dark and murky? Is it because you entered from Halcandra? There are a lot more Doomers here too...and some are even pairing up and working as a team! EX, just one: The portal into this different dimension was opened by a Super Ability. With this space closing as time passes, one single spot holding the spheres now remains...along with a Doomer circling above! EX, twin: Halcandra stands alone, only reachable by passing through other dimension...The Doomers, long ago, had a different form and could warp space and time...Is that why they seek the spheres? Edit: Magolor Soul in the True Arena also has completely different descriptions: The one-eyed wreath grants power but swallows the soul... It devours, stealing any sense of self... Truly, this crown rules all. Free him from this nightmare! Take his hand and save a new friend! Kirby... Ugh! I hate having to rely on you, and your vacant stare when I revealed my grand plan was truly insulting. Well, let's see if you can break this thing on my head. If you can, then someday... hee hee hee...I may get to toy with you again!
3:37 I just want to clarify that this attack is not new , Kirby can do this same attack in Kirby Triple Deluxe , so it's was just added to this remake too ^^ . And also fun fact for this part at 9:00 , They have kept the old animations when you are fighting Magolor and his ex version too . You can clearly see how the visuals have improved even with the old animations
So I can confirm the Extra Mode adds quite a few more enemies even some Gordon's in very few area. Also Food where they were normally most of them have been removed and all Maximum Tomado are changed to regular fruit. Which makes it harder to stay alive. But if you arrive with low HP to a boss which is kinda often at least for me, there is a guaranteed Maximum Tomato. Also some boss attack patterns it feels faster than it did in the original but that is just from personal experiences
I think its kinda frustrating they got rid of scope shot. between that and Ninja Dojo, it was the favorite. Its kinda sad they left it out and instead gave us 2 other games similar to Scope Shot Also the new HAL room in dangerous dinner uses the Kawasaki Bot theme from scope shot But also JEEZ the new end level minigame and portal segments have longer loading times? Seriously?" atleast I don't have to restart levels because my siblings went ahead anymore
You missed one, the portal areas had a greyscale look to them in the original, while in the remake, thats no longer the case, and there is crystals floating
I actually noticed most of these! uhh from the top of my head, I didnt see any of the HAL Rooms, didnt know about the new Jump Kirby texture around his body and I forgot that Magolor's black hole used to suck in thr whole background like that. Very cool, wish they'd kept that
This one’s for Merry Magoland. If you complete all missions for Kirby on the draw, Crackity Hack, Checerboard Chase, Egg Catcher etc. You can listen to it’s secret music, which is the original soundtracks for the mini game attractions!
I noticed another change, involving HR-D3. Once you get HR-D3 into it's second phase, the music that plays is now Roar of Dedede from Kirby & The Forgotten Land. It honestly sounds amazing with the boss though.
I think you forgot to add the picture that showed the actual difference between the Original and the Deluxe character model... I've passed a solid 5 minute trying to find the difference... when it finally hit me, you were planning on adding a picture on the top right corner with the old models. Well it's missing!
you can keep the cappy's happy if you throw a key at their hats while they are in midair. An easy level to do this in is stage 1 of cookie country. also dogging is op when getting past gordo's. I know there is a place in stage 2 of cookie country in the demo (It's a different stage in the main game) where you would presumably need the whip ability to get a 1up through a gordo wall but you can actually just dodge through the gordo's instead.
Couple I noticed: There's actually another pause screen text during VS Magolor Soul's final phase during the True Arena. It quotes Magolor, saying, "Kirby... Ugh! I hate having to rely on you, and your vacant stare when I revealed my grand plan was truly insulting. Well, let's see if you can break this thing on my head. If you can, then someday... hee hee hee... I may get to toy with you again!" The second thing I noticed seems much less significant in comparison. If you've played extra mode you probably noticed HR-D3's second phase uses Roar of Dedede music.
I discovered in this game that Water Galboros has a new death animation, instead of being shocked like in the wii version, and like Flame Galboros & Miasmoros, Water Galboros somehow has an X on his eyes, which I think is a pretty morbid thing to have in a Kirby game but just figured I say that up front/
Did you know that the kine and mine masks give you an enhanced water gun when traveling in the water? It gives the same effect as using the water copy ability’s enhanced water gun.
Adding onto the Super Abilties new intro animations, Kirby actually keeps the Wii intro animation when fighting Magolor. Either this was an oversight, or this is because Kirby's fighting the final boss and there is no time for special dazzle.
18:22 Mr Dooter EX is always mad because people still don't get that Barry was a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, you get the idea (ShockHat734 reference)
I noticed that the names of the levels of Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe had something to do with magolor you see if you put the initial letter of each level together it Spells crowned
10:42 I can't believe they named the song incorrectly! Clearly, the real title of this song is "Me, my sword, and I" XD (That's what my brothers and I always called it at least lol)
3 things: 1) not Nintendo, HAL did all the changes. Nintendo is just the publisher. 2) about the new cute animations for the super abilities: during the final fight against magolor they used the old animations again 3) I really like the musical changes they made to sort of weave in the games that came after the Wii game. But I don't like how easy they made getting all the spheres. (Like giving you the ability you need/removing the current)
I’ll be honest, the last thing I ever wanted was a Return to Dreamland port. But after playing it, my lord, my friend had a amazing idea. I bet he’s happy seeing this.
I think they should make a boss enemy out of the stuffed dummy that you can practice copy ability attacks on, for a future game. Maybe even a final boss. And make him tougher than all the previous games final bosses. That would be an awesome twist.
There is some Pause screen lore missing in this video, including the D3 robot, Galacta Knight, and Magolor Soul has different Lore in the True Arena battle in both phases (and there might be more I have missed). Additionally, there is Pause Screen Lore for each ability, Dedede, Metaknight and Bandana Dee if you play as them, as well as more Landia Lore during the space shooter section of the finale.
Fun fact in my school vr game soul magalor had showed up as a boss and during it the fight actually revealed 2 ancients the raiden shogun from genshin impact and Goalius (Goalius is showed as he summoned in breath of the wild guardians and the raiden shogun when in her true form out of her realm)
5:13 the biggest difference I can think of on the top of my head... is that meta knight now has a mini boss shredding counter? Like no joke it usually kills or just straight shreds 3/4 of their health. ...timings a little weird cause to execute it, you need to make sure you take damage and technically you still are damaged doing it, but for the arena it cleans a good chunk off it in real time seconds... minus fatty puffer
Here’s a depressing one, you can hear Magolor crying out for Kirby in the background during phase two of Magolor Soul in True Arena.
I haven't played the game but it sounds really sad even for a villain (I think he is I don't really play kirby)
@@haydonj7433 ehhhh he is kinda a villain. I won’t explain much because spoilers
@@haydonj7433 oh yea, Kirby characters can be depressing. I mean, During Star Dream Soul OS, every time you hit their pillers, you can hear Haltmann’s screams. That’s always happened dude
Taranza was just wanting to do something nice for his crush then later he had to give Kirby the power to kill her (taranza is a child)
Another musical easter egg:
In Galacta Knight's battle, we all know if you play as Kirby (or Bandana Waddle Dee), it plays Landia's theme for phase 1 and the RTDL Galacta Knight remix for phase 2.
However, if you play as Dedede or Meta Knight, the music for phase 1 will be the Moon Warrior's theme from Kirby Fighters 2 and the music for phase 2 is Galacta Knight's theme from Planet Robobot.
You can choose other characters in Arena?
@@JonathanRiverafrickinnice555 yes, you can pick the other 3 party members once you beat the arena once
Meta to galacta:how many times i must beat you old man?
Two changes I have to add:
- You can now press up while using the Sword ability to charge a sword beam like you could starting with Triple Deluxe.
- Phase 2 of the HR-D3 boss fight now has the Dedede boss theme from Forgotten Land playing in the background.
Finally, someone else who noticed Roar of Dedede!
I noticed Nin10doLand forgot to put the Pause Lore for HR-D3 in the video, too.
You can also use twister slash
me: raises sword by holding up. the game: you can now play as kirby in the legend of zelda skyward sword HD! (not actually)
No WAYYY!
@@Nin10doland You didnt mention the new sand ability also
Don't forget that the 86 second wait COULD potentially be referring to IDF-86 too (Since you have to wait 86 seconds for a HAL in one of the levels of Forgotten Land )
@@amarg1650 That's because he's talking about the changes that Nintendo never mentioned.
@Hay I Draw I didn't know mb just mentioning it in this comment :p
I have two things to say:
The boss description you showed for Magolor Soul was the one that shows up in Extra Mode, there are two other boss descriptions for him found in The True Arena, one for his first phase, and one for his second.
In the original, if you drop a Super Ability, the star will shatter before you could get a chance to pick it back up. In the deluxe version, when you drop a Super Ability, it’ll stay there, letting you pick it back up. This won’t reset the time you can hold onto the ability though, so be mindful of that.
By the time I commented on this, you had 86 likes
*What a coincidence*
Are you up for making a video about the flavor text in The True Arena?
@@tomward4240 I don’t make videos, but I can say them here:
Phase 1: The one-eyed wreath grants power but swallows the soul… It devours, stealing any sense of self… Truly, this crown rules all.

There was a brief editing mistake at the beginning where i don’t show the old models of the characters, sorry about that guys!
Also I say tornado in star allies which is NOT in that game. I think I was referring to the green wind effect/element in that game!
Should’ve pinned this comment!
6:30 That's the Scope Shot title theme, the VS. Waddle Tank theme plays in the secret path in the Mid-Boss Tower stage.
8:58 Fun fact! Those original animations are still in the game, and play when you get a Super Ability during the Magolor fight!
I was gonna mention the same thing about the mid boss tower! I always did the harder route and noticed the change immediately.
About the OG animations thing, is it because some of the newer ones are too cute for such a serious moment?
@@saniaaf2251 Yeah, pretty much.
If you use Kine’s mask underwater, you actually shoot two water bubbles just like the water ability and not one
Same thing with mine’s mask
Awww that's a cute detail
everyone from @Failboat's return to dream land dx stream knows that
In the Wii version, Bandana Waddle Dee's death animation saw him staring blankly at the screen as he tumbled away. It was actually kinda creepy 😭
In Deluxe, he now has the same shut-eye expression as Kirby! Really small thing I noticed, but I still thought it was cool 🙏🏾
[o_o]
It won't let you steal the energy of the spheres...so brace for an attack!"
Double Sphere Doomer "Why does this dimension suddenly feel so dark and murky? Is it because you entered from Halcandra? There are a lot more Doomers here too...and some are even pairing up and working as a team!"
Sphere Doomer EX "The portal into this different dimension was opened by a Super Ability. With this space closing as time passes, one single spot holding the spheres now remains...along with a Doomer circling above!"
Double Sphere Doomer EX "Halcandra stands alone, only reachable by passing through other dimensions... The Doomers, long ago, had a different form and could warp space and time... Is that why they seek the spheres?"
Galacta Knight "An interdimensional tunnel has brought the most powerful warrior in the galaxy before you, and the gem seal keeping it at bay has been broken! Get ready for a dream battle that defies destiny itself!"
Magolor Soul True Arena 1 "The one-eyed wreath grants power but swallows the soul... It devours, stealing any sense of self... Truly, this crown rules all. Free him from this nightmare! Take his hand and save a new friend!"
Magolor Soul True Arena 2 (When he has no eyes) "Kirby... Ugh! I hate having to rely on you, and your vacant stare when I revealed my grand plan was truly insulting. Well, let's see if you can break this thing on my head. If you can, then someday...hee hee heee...I may get to toy with you again!"
"The Doomers, long ago, had a different form and could warp space and time..." This sounds like it could be a reference to IDF-86...
Here's something that you may missed:
- Magolor Epilogue opening (flashback) is Magolor Soul
- using Kine / Mine Mask you can able to use super ballon, normaly you need water ability
- Stone ability, the Meta, Bandee, And Dedede statue, Dedede use the old design (star allies)
Enhanced water gun* instead of super ballon

I got 5 things you may have missed-
1- there are 3 hidden Magolors, referencing the hidden Mickey Mouses in Walt Disney World. Also, Magolor calls his theme park the “funnest place in the universe”
2- When you find a hidden Magolor, it plays a little jingle. This is the same jingle that plays when you put the original game in the Wii (or WiiU)
3- In this game, the Waddle Dees have the same animations from Forgotten Land when you talk to them, in the Main Mode and in the theme park.
4- The theme park uses the same engine as Forgotten Land. The frame rates of the characters slow down from a distance to keep the game as a whole from slowing down (think the Three Mage Sisters from Kirby Star Allies- Heroes in Another Dimension)
5- when Kirby uses his taunts on the Warpstar at the theme park, he faces the camera, but if you move while he taunts, he will do his taunts in that direction. Also, while the Waddle Dees will react to Kirby’s taunts, similar to Forgotten Land, the bosses that Magolor invites over time will not respond
The theme park I am referencing is Merry Magoland, obviously. Also, I know some of these details have more than one fact in them, but I hope you can still use them!
Kirby's Return to Dreamland already has some of my favorite lore in the franchise but the fact they expanded it is just amazing, HAL Laboratories you've done it again
The blocks breaking lined up perfectly with the music 13:21
13:23 to be more accurate
I think you missed one other detail, some masks (mostly the ones water related) gives you a boost underwater to your bubble attack, the same buff the water ability would give you
I’ve been testing all masks, and only Mine and Kine do this
@@marketableplushie4296 thank you, I didn’t know exactly witch one can, I only knew about Kine
@@marketableplushie4296 Makes sense that the fishes do better underwater.
"Under my control" was renamed to "Welcome Your New Overlord"
The opening cutscene of Magologue has a flashback of Magolor Soul being defeated, confirming Magolor Soul to be the canonical final fight.
Master Crown playa "Onward to a pain my heart knows well"
Magolor Soul plays a completely unique track being "Inward Struggle"
Magolor Soul himself has been completely Beefed up in the true arena now boasting faster and more devastating attacks, and even a 2nd health bar.
The final Magolor Soul fight plays a remix of "Supreme Rulers Coronation - OVERLORD" which is a remix originally from Star Allies.
The 2nd phase adds more instruments to the song as well as the cries of Magolor.
I thought Magolor Epilogue wasn't canon.
When facing HR-D3: You'll notice that the theme of the fight is Roar of DeDeDe
Another 2 details (Even tho it's Magolor Epilogue) is that in the Master Crown fight the dimension that it takes place in seems to be Kirby and the Forgotten Land (What with the bridges and stuff) and the tree is supposably the same tree in the Kirby Clash series (I do wish to state that I get most of my knowledge from lore videos so check out lore people like RPG Monger for some lore and by some I mean a LOT)
This is what I love about what they did with this game
I also love what Nintendo and Hal Laboratory have done when this original game on Wii was now brought to Nintendo Switch I also love Kirby's new Mecha copy ability and the festival copy from Kirby Star Allies ability makes a return in the game.
@@jamest1214 agreed and same.
In particular, the amount of time you have to wait for the first new HAL room to show up is 86 seconds, so very close to three minutes. This is because 86 can be said in Japanese as, "haru," which is how the studio's name is said in Japanese since they don't have an "L" sound in their vocabulary.
Another thing added is during the 2nd phase of the hr-d3 fight, roar of dedede (the forgotten land dedede theme) plays
Also, an interesting tip, the kine and mine masks gives kirby the upgraded water bubble attack you normally get if you used water kirby when swimming
About the level 5-5, there are different songs that are played in the hard path
The hard path of the normal mode has the Waddle Tank music (reused from Scope Shot, meaning that despite Scope Shot has been removed, all the 4 song it has are kept)
While the hard path of extra mode has Stage of the Partners (from Kirby Fighters 2)
Also, HR-D3's second phase no longer have Galacta Knight's theme but Roar of Dedede from Forgotten Land instead (which sounds weird imo)
I mean, it does sound a bit weird, but it is also a cool callback to it originally being a Dedede mech.
46: Something worth mentioning because it bugs the heck outta me
Bandana Dee’s goggles while underwater are clipping into him because they’re not on him properly
The new animation for snow bowl looks cute to me and even the sound fit with the animation 9:39
You missed a few descriptions, Sphere Doomers, Sphere Doomers EX and Whispy Woods EX has a special description in the demo
And HR-D3
Well here some stuff I found:
1.on the remake's under my control theme a bit after the first minute and a half part of the theme you can hear a line of rock which wasn't in the og
2.bandana dee can now jump out of the ground thrust just like in forgotten land
3.in the another dimension sub levels you can see on the screen rain drops like in super mario 3d world and odyssey though is much more noticable on the arena fights against the doomers
4.while I am sure is the one that known the most if your playing with two joysticks you can taunt with your character like how you could do with the Dpad on forgotten land and dream buffet
5.on the second phase of the true arena magolor soul boss fight there a different pause lore instead of the previous one
I don’t recall needing to do all of the silly collecting in Magolor’s hub for the HAL room to be accessible~
“Here are the old models for comparisons sake” he says while forgetting to show the old models
I think Flare Beam Kirby probably thinks its a laser pointer or something because for some reason he smiles during it
Kirby be like: hey guys look at my laser pointer
*murders everyone*
*oops*
@Nin10doland Here's another music tidbit.
In extra mode it's mostly just a lot more hunter scarfy which are scarfys that chase you if you are holding a key
In the pause for lore section, you forgot about Galacta Knight's pause for lore screen
I really liked the video, but here's a fact:
Some voice lines were changed from the original
You didn’t bring up how the other characters have their update moves from Star Allie’s!
I love all of the litte fun details and easter eggs that the devs sprinkle into the Kirby games. It really makes thr characters, world and story feel alive :)
For maglor soul he has special lore in the true arena where magalor wishes to toy with kirby one last time
Fun coincidence that relates to 10:04.
1:10 yup uh huh those are definitely the old models
Also you forgot to mention :
HR-D3's Second phase theme was changed to Roar of Dedede from The Forgotten Land.
Cool detail: If you use the Kine mask you shoot stronger bubbles underwater just as if you had the Water ability.
13:34 it's probably actually because of the Magolor helping mode where it gives you x2 of your health and the bar is green
A cool and interesting thing I found out about the game that was probably in the original is that if you have the water ability and you go in the water, you have double the water gun strength.
1:08 i am guessing you wanted to add an image here in editing
Yea i was confused
Here’s a detail about the magalor epilogue
If you count the ethereal alter as the last world the worlds spell out apple and if you’ve played through the mode you know wh
1:12 I think there was an editing error on your part because no one is seeing the old models. Oops
5:51 Weirdly enough, the game claims that the theme park is on another planet or in another reality. Translation error? Possibly.
6:30 no, it plays the main theme of Scope Shot
12:50 yup, and this theme plays when Robo Dedede is on his last legs
16:16 however, to give you a fighting chance, the health of the bosses from Magolor Epilogue are decreased
17:07 you forgot the pause screen lore for the sphere doomers, the sphere doomers ex, galacta knight, and the 2 phases of Magolor Soul EX’s True Arena Counterpart
All in all, despite these flaws, this video was great nevertheless. I applaud you
6:28 no it isn't the Waddle Tank but the Scope Shot main theme
@@mondsternleinch.5253 Magolor being truly evil and never being redeemed is straight up unconfirmed from what I heard.
@@mpeck1234 And what would possibly be more defining than his own words and the final piece of pause screen lore we get in this game?
@@mondsternleinch.5253 The pause screen called magolor a manipulator but that was before the events of the epilogue.
13:09 why was that on beat, and for both footages too!?
Also quick tip: 16:04 You still have access to the healing items you stored from Merry Magaloland in True Arena, so while yes there is little healing that is outside the storage, you can still spawn heals from the storage
I love all the little changes..the animation updates, even the some sounds and tracks updated/edited
KFL secret (Kirby and the forgotten land) waddle dees will sometimes fall over when they are walking
Second secret:waddle dees will not wave back at you if they are reading books
I think one very tiny change is that Sphere Doomers have pause screen descriptions now! Here they are:
Regular, just one:
A Super Ability helped you enter this strange space, and a Sphere Doomer has flown in from a different dimension as well! It won't let you steal the energy of the spheres...so brace for an attack!
Regular, twin:
Why does this dimension suddenly feel so dark and murky? Is it because you entered from Halcandra? There are a lot more Doomers here too...and some are even pairing up and working as a team!
EX, just one:
The portal into this different dimension was opened by a Super Ability. With this space closing as time passes, one single spot holding the spheres now remains...along with a Doomer circling above!
EX, twin:
Halcandra stands alone, only reachable by passing through other dimension...The Doomers, long ago, had a different form and could warp space and time...Is that why they seek the spheres?
Edit: Magolor Soul in the True Arena also has completely different descriptions:
The one-eyed wreath grants power but swallows the soul...
1:11 here are the old models-…. What models?
So I can confirm the Extra Mode adds quite a few more enemies even some Gordon's in very few area. Also Food where they were normally most of them have been removed and all Maximum Tomado are changed to regular fruit. Which makes it harder to stay alive. But if you arrive with low HP to a boss which is kinda often at least for me, there is a guaranteed Maximum Tomato. Also some boss attack patterns it feels faster than it did in the original but that is just from personal experiences
I think its kinda frustrating they got rid of scope shot. between that and Ninja Dojo, it was the favorite. Its kinda sad they left it out and instead gave us 2 other games similar to Scope Shot
Also the new HAL room in dangerous dinner uses the Kawasaki Bot theme from scope shot
But also JEEZ the new end level minigame and portal segments have longer loading times? Seriously?"
atleast I don't have to restart levels because my siblings went ahead anymore
You missed one, the portal areas had a greyscale look to them in the original, while in the remake, thats no longer the case, and there is crystals floating
I actually noticed most of these!
uhh from the top of my head, I didnt see any of the HAL Rooms, didnt know about the new Jump Kirby texture around his body and I forgot that Magolor's black hole used to suck in thr whole background like that. Very cool, wish they'd kept that
1:13 is there a mistake there? cause I didnt see anything asides the new model
"And here are the old models for comparison's sake."
...where
This one’s for Merry Magoland.
Theres a small chance kirby can change to yellow, blue, and green colors in the title screen and selection
1:10
Are we gonna skip the fact there was no old model shown?
I think you forgot to add the picture that showed the actual difference between the Original and the Deluxe character model... I've passed a solid 5 minute trying to find the difference... when it finally hit me, you were planning on adding a picture on the top right corner with the old models. Well it's missing!
I also tried 5 times to see a difference 😂
you can keep the cappy's happy if you throw a key at their hats while they are in midair.
It's 2-1 in the main game.
Bro what was I yapping about back then💀
God... Time flies past fast. I can remember little me playing this game with my brother like it was yesterday.
Also, pro tip: while playing with a friend, have them jump on your back, hold r/l (both of you) and release at the same time for a cool attack
Couple I noticed:
There's actually another pause screen text during VS Magolor Soul's final phase during the True Arena. It quotes Magolor, saying, "Kirby... Ugh! I hate having to rely on you, and your vacant stare when I revealed my grand plan was truly insulting. Well, let's see if you can break this thing on my head. If you can, then someday... hee hee hee... I may get to toy with you again!"
The second thing I noticed seems much less significant in comparison. If you've played extra mode you probably noticed HR-D3's second phase uses Roar of Dedede music.
"here are the old models for comparison's sake"
_doesn't show them_
"And here are the old models for comparison's sake"
_shows nothing on the screen_
Finally, I see a comment talking about this lol
I discovered in this game that Water Galboros has a new death animation, instead of being shocked like in the wii version, and like Flame Galboros & Miasmoros, Water Galboros somehow has an X on his eyes, which I think is a pretty morbid thing to have in a Kirby game but just figured I say that up front/
Considering what sone of these final bosses are I'd say eater galboros having and x over his eyes is pretty mild
0:54 he changed his design?
Kirby can even use a fish and a golden fan to use in master sword
Did you know that the kine and mine masks give you an enhanced water gun when traveling in the water? It gives the same effect as using the water copy ability’s enhanced water gun.
Adding onto the Super Abilties new intro animations, Kirby actually keeps the Wii intro animation when fighting Magolor. Either this was an oversight, or this is because Kirby's fighting the final boss and there is no time for special dazzle.
He forgot to show the old models lol
The dangerous dinner hal room requires you to wait for 86 seconds in the falling ceiling room to go back
6:27 It's actually the Scope Shot title screen theme.
18:22 Mr Dooter EX is always mad because people still don't get that Barry was a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, a great man, a special man, you get the idea
(ShockHat734 reference)
I noticed that the names of the levels of Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe had something to do with magolor you see if you put the initial letter of each level together it Spells crowned
Wow the old Wii super ability animations Kirby was always pissed. I'm glad he learned how to chill now.
I haven’t seen anyone talk about it but there is also a pause screen description for when magolor uses the ultra sword at the end of the epilogue.
We didn’t have Tornado in Star Allies.
Here's a little detail : Super abilities have their original transformation animation during the Magolor fight.
Hi Nin10doland I love this and I hope you have a good day and you are awesome
10:42 I can't believe they named the song incorrectly! Clearly, the real title of this song is "Me, my sword, and I" XD
(That's what my brothers and I always called it at least lol)
3 things:
1) not Nintendo, HAL did all the changes. Nintendo is just the publisher.
2) about the new cute animations for the super abilities: during the final fight against magolor they used the old animations again
3) I really like the musical changes they made to sort of weave in the games that came after the Wii game.
Fun fact in my school vr game soul magalor had showed up as a boss and during it the fight actually revealed 2 ancients the raiden shogun from genshin impact and Goalius (Goalius is showed as he summoned in breath of the wild guardians and the raiden shogun when in her true form out of her realm)
you made a school vr game with magolor soul as a boss and whoever those other two are? sounds like a fever dream
Raiden from Metal Gear would have been a better Raiden rather than the one from obese men game
@@CinnaBox unfortunately raiden isn't a ancient
1:10 where?
“And here are the old 3D models for comparison’s sake”
The lack of 3D models in question
I supposed to watch this game, it's great to see the improvement, addition and more
I learned no matter what when you slice the volcano in half it will all ways be morpho sword
Fun fact: the taunt sounds change depending on the mask you have (only for some masks)
In the video cover photo, one of those two things i actually saw while playing the game. The morpho knight sword.
