I won’t wear anything with built in stretch, but then again I don’t do sidewalk yoga either : ) I also found in the past that stretch fabrics do take on funky odours pretty quickly.
You can also do laundry in trips, which resolves bad odor of clothes. Especially when venturing the wilderness of Ohio. We def need a video on the “Ireland” incident 😂. Chelsea’s are great for flights. I personally take my redwing heritage Chelsea’s on my flights, don’t have a shank and great for metal detectors. If I ever resole prob will add fiber glass glass if needed.
your tip is to find a laundromat or hotel with a laundry service when traveling? or to handwash? my stuff always stinks when i handwash in a hotel sink, I can't get the hang of it
Team pleat - yes! Loose-fit cotton trousers are always going to be a better bet than tight synthetics, however stretchy they might be. And my shoes rule it to always wear the heaviest, bulkiest shoes or boots you are going to need on the trip. It's much easier to wear them and take them off on the plane than pack them and have the hassle of lugging them around in your case.
yes that's a good 'other side' to the shoe rule! if i've got a long trip ahead of me there's a good chance i'm "running" late for a connection at some point so I prefer the lighter shoes to travel with haha
Good advice. I’d only add three things. Long flights get cold, so bring a jacket. For any trip longer than six hours (flight + layover), bring an extra undershirt. Feet can swell in altitude, so wear shoes that aren’t too tight. Also, Cossack squats - impressive!
good call on feet swelling! it's always so surreal putting your shoes back on after you've been sitting in your seat for a while and finding them straining
In terms of battling odor and traveling, bringing a small TSA approved bottle of a fabric refresher. Many sprays destroy the bacteria that causes odor. I really appreciate your outfit tips especially the chore coat suggestion.
I always keep a box of ‘binnables’ for travel, especially when going hand luggage only. That’s socks, undies and t-shirts that can still be worn but go in the bin during the trip.
I think also best to go for comfortable sneakers from new balance, Salomon (the laces make it easy) or and if you want vans slip on for the easy on and off, also I would say Levi’s 501 with stretch is good and also make use of a nice jacket, don’t wear anything too thick a long sleeve t shirt will do for travel alongside a jacket you can stow in your bag or even on you for storage and such
Hey, Nick. Please review Thursday's new Adventure Pack backpack. As you have hands on experience and enjoy the Journeyman, I'd love to see a comparison.
Team Muscle Thighs, represent! Pleated pants FTW. Used to be able to find them in cotton khakis, not so much anymore. I kinda got ridiculous, what with my squats & dead lifts. I had to go to Dickies and buy their loose work pants for "khakis." Got tired of seeing my quad separation when I sat down. On the upside they wear like iron and have plenty of air flow.
Man I know there are some nice backpacks out there, but I just can't do it. Not judging anyone who wears one, but I'm in my 40's and I feel like a little kid every time I put one on. Weekender bag all the way.
Love that you're putting full outfit descriptions in the b-roll!
thanks for appreciating the labor man haha
Great travel tips! Never thought about the military style jacket, wearing that to certain countries.
Yeah it's definitely worth thinking about! Airport cops in Belfast weren't a fan of mine haha

here i thought barely anyone avoided stretch fabrics these days, glad I had the extra section for non-stretch pants!

@@Stridewisewashing on the hotel sink/tub totally works. I have done this a bunch of times.

oh cool! yeah that was a very genuine recommendation, unlined wool chore coat = smart and (quite) stinkproof
Liked the full outfit listings 👍
thanks man! this video (and all 'how to style'/outfit videos) are a huge pain to put together haha

i respect that approach but also doesn't that make travel kinda expensive when you're throwing out clothes every trip!

Ur videos are always informative and dope at the same time! Also what a good place to buy some of these items second hand? Thanks!

I should do that! I've got their travel bag too, I could do a like a double comparison

Hahah look that's fair
8:20 funky functional backpacks are allowed
What’s that green button up shirt you’re wearing throughout the video?
oh it's teddy stratford's raider shirt, it's Indiana Jones's shirt haha. I think 'stridewise' should still work for a discount shrsl.com/4qvpm
Can't believe you came to Ireland without telling me! 😀😀
Next time...
Dropping the quick shade on the dress like a gentleman channels 😂
hahaha I get so many brands trying to get me to review their suits and oxfords and stuff and I'm like no damn it I'm the casualdurable guy
This is a bit off topic, but are you familiar with Buffalo Jackson? Love your style btw.
i was curious about their canvas bags but didn;t love the design. now the brand has grown so much i wouldn't know what to review from them!

So used to seeing you wearing boots that the loafers look out of place.
