This movie with the Director and Actor Commentaries ON is so funny and educational. The movie is way deeper than you can possibly imagine. Worth re-watching.
santa claus is my tyler durden. this wasn't a movie about mental illness. its a movie about frustration, margainalization and revolution. the result of the movie, the destruction of all the credit companies, is what we need. but the way its achieved in the movie may not be the best way. its about the sacrafices we must all make to establish some level of justice in the world. but the whole movie is one big metaphore.
Exactly that, as "actor" playing Bob, that one with "tits" is "Meat Loaf" (the singer Michael Lee Aday), who had a classic albums such as "Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell " with a famous single "I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)" and also later on "Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through". RIP Meat Loaf.
Soap was actually originally made from animal fat. Nowadays, we use plant starch aka plant fat. Things like lipstick still use proteins extracted from crushed insects
At my job we have vegetable and animal fats everywhere, it's an oil refinery of sorts. We have bags of soda ash to clean with, they make soap when mixed with the fat
I have a select few movies that I would show to represent the power of film and acting. Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, and Helena Bonham Carter were superb in their roles. It's a movie where everyone has to sell their act or the big reveal just doesn't work. Either you give away the plot or the audience doesn't believe it. So now you can say, "Everything was right there. Why didn't I see it coming?" In the immortal words of Master Thespian, "Acting!"
This novel was considered unfilmable for the longest time. If you read any of Chuck's books you will understand why! The only other one to be made into a movie is Choke.
This was such an intriguing look into mental illness put under a funny filter to be more palatable. Amazingly enough 2 of my fave movies are from same time frame, same directing, same actor. This and Se7en which has been my ride or die since it came out and I'm not seeing anyone knocking it out of top spot. They may surprise me but it's already been 2 decades, it's going to take a LOT.
Glad Ellie didn't spoil it for her fellow reactors. Good job, Ellie!!! 🥰 Yeah, Fight Club out in the 90s, when films were trying to push the bar of entertainment, and stop trying to make masterpieces. That being said, it's now considered a masterpiece, because of how different it was, compared to other movies concerning domestic terrorist organizations. These guys we actually liked, so . . . 😊 Keep on keeping on, homies!!! You're great! 👍
You guys should watch this OUTSTANDING thriller/mystery film called The Uninvited (2009). 🙂 It has an AMAZING twist ending :) It’s about two sisters against their stepmother and the girls’ mother is trying to help them. So amazing
For anyone who didn't live through the 90s, or were too young to remember them, I always recommend this film and Natural Born Killers as a crash course in what things were like. Ahh, good times.
That movie was from 94, alot of big movies came out that year… Ace Ventura: Pet Detective The Mask Dumb and Dumber Forrest Gump Shawshank Redemption Pulp Fiction Natural Born Killers Speed Lion King Legends of the Fall Interview with the Vampire
"How do people know about it if nobody talks about it?" The reason the first rule is repeated is to demonstrate that it shouldn't be followed. What Tyler is really saying is, "...talk about Fight Club. ...talk about Fight Club."
The day after this Movie premiered, 20 million Men walked into their local Gym & Fitness Center and said: "I WANT BRAD PITT'S BODYBFROM FIGHT CLUB!" Simultaneously, 20 million Women went to their local Church and asked for the same thing!
Great movie. You should also watch The Game 1997 with Michael Douglas from the same director which is a once in a lifetime movie you can not recreate the first time you see it.
You know you’ve got a good community when a lot of us are asking “is Ellie ok”. Turns out she’s seen this before and she’s just being quiet. We actually care about you girls.
Also, me and my brother regularly enjoy fighting after a drink together so the idea of this "fight club" is actually rather aspirational to a lot of guys. Especially those of us that don't usually pursue fights

Oh boy you missed all the messages about fascism. Do you really think that 7-11 guy had a better life, worrying about some authoritarian psycho showing up to kill him if he wasn't becoming a vet? Fascism sees problems well, like the credit trap... But all of its solutions are just chaos and rebuilding with warlords.
Completely off topic but Ellie looks ABSOLUTELY similar to Dr. Cameron from Dr. House, I´m astonished about how much both of you look alike, it´s craaaaaaazy🤯 Great reactions guys!!
If you make it an rule, with emphasis, "Don't talk about fight club", you'll be sure that EVERYBODY will talk about fight club. Best promotional campaign ever!
The interesting thing is this movie is about as much as it's about a macho action movie it's really a movie about mental illness. Split personalities and such. In Tyler Durden we trust...
I’ll give it up for Marla. Definitely not a damsel in distress. If anything she’s probably a break from a lot of romantic interests in movies because she’s not taking any guy crap, she sleeps with Tyler but she’s not swooning over him. She’s a lot stronger a female character than the movie wants us to believe
Fight Club was amazing 🤟🏻👏🏻👌🏻the fights in that movie 🍿 oh gosh epic so good to be true in general I recommend this movie, thanks girls to watch with you ♥️.
I encourage everyone to watch Antilogic's argument that fight club/the narrator/Jack is trying to come to terms with the fact that he has testicular cancer and has to have his balls removed/masculinity stripped from him and unable to process what his self-identity will be afterwards, his mind fractures and develops not only Tyler Durden (radical alpha male) but also Marla Singer as multiple personalities and both are competing in the mind of Jack for control while he is in a metaphorical metamorphosis state of becoming something entirely new to his old self and develop a new self identity. He chooses to kill off Tyler and accept his feminine aspects via Marla
Elli! Nice with the glasses and hair color! Lia! omgosh, I'm getting Kate Jackson vibes from the 70's T.V. show "Charlies Angels, woohoo!. and Mishee- the bangs and red highlights are *chef's kiss*!! oh yes- there's a reaction too. i'll watch that.
I know that now there's no such thing as a man, but, when men see the fight club scene, it's "fkn yes! Could I do that; hell yes, you can tap out afrer one punch. But could I go further? if I hurt him first, let's go!", not 'real' men, obviously. Women, it's "I'm not gonna say what this does for me! But eeeuuww, just incase."
GREAT reaction ladies to this movie!, this movie is insane and the huge twist at the end just makes it. if you want to see a just as insane movie watch "midsummar"!. THANKS!!
One of the greatest films ever made.
If you read pick up a Palahniuk book. "Survivor" is amazing and "Invisible Monsters" is pretty good also.

“No fear. No distractions. The ability to let that which Does Not Matter…. TRULY slide.”
And now I get the power animal “slide” purpose.
Fun fact the blonde guy that Tyler nearly beat to death is the actor and musician Jared Leto
And when Brad Pitt says “rock stars”, he looks right at Jared Leto.
When Marla says "you're the worst thing that ever happened to me", from her point of view it's about as close as she can get to saying "I love you".
Marla Singer is my Tyler Durden. This movie blew a hole in my head, and I survived. RIP Robert Paulson 👊🏼

the moral of the story never have bratt pitt as an imaginary friend
Bob would have been so immune to all the threats of Project Mayhem and how they were always trying to cut peoples balls off.
Bob was not ready for project mayhem. He didn't passed test, and he get to the club because he knew Cornelius.
