    Well done. A budget guitar is best reviewed through a budget amp, since most beginners would be buying this type of gear! Good playing too!

    Yeah the only review of a budget guitar with a budget amp. Other channels review this guitar with an amp that is more expensive than my car lol there is no point in that.

    They are light and comfortable to play as there are no sharp edges in the body, the sound is good, the price fantastic. I picked one up second hand very cheap, it had a few problems which I sorted but wondered whether the fret metal was really soft as it seemed to be worn for it's age. But despite that a nice guitar you can sit down with and get a great sound without much effort. A must for the price.

    Love your playing, instantly subscribed to your channel. Actually, I'm a lefty, was wondering if I could switch the strings to other way around. Will the knobs come in the way of playing?

    Does Ebony soak up heat? Because it's black? I wanted sunburst, but it appears to be sold out.

    • @GuitarJoint
      @GuitarJoint  4 года назад +1

      I guess but you actually shouldn't let it in the heat because it can damage any guitar, and you can get a sunburst used, there are pretty good ones out there

      @@GuitarJoint I looked on Epiphone.com, Sunburst is still in stock. I meant Guitar Center was out.

    what is the difference between this and the sg

    • @GuitarJoint
      @GuitarJoint  5 лет назад +1

      The biggest and most noticeable difference between a Les Paul and SG is the physical size of the instruments. Les Pauls are typically heavy guitars and most weigh more than a typical SG. The SG has a slimmer body shape, and doesn’t have the maple cap that a Les Paul typically has. Both guitars solid body is typically made of mahogany wood. The SG’s neck joins the body at the 22nd fret, verses the Les Paul which joins at the 16th fret. This provides you with easier access to the higher frets, which can be very useful for your lead guitar playing. The two guitars also sound different from each other. I would say that tonally, the SG is brighter and has a more pronounced mid and high range frequencies. They both have two humbucker pickups in the neck and bridge positions, and similar tone and volume controls. The SG’s output jack is located on the front of the guitar verses the Les Paul’s jack located on the bottom of the body. Both guitars can essentially be used for any type of music, from rock to jazz, and blues to metal. It all depends on the guitarist’s personal preferences.

      @@GuitarJoint still find it crazy that the sg shape was used for a les paul.

    Lol I have the same guitar and amp for 3 years absolutely recommend the guitar even though it's out of production, the newer special ve is kinda the same with a less lacquered finish and a thinner neck you can decide yourself if that's good or not but I think that as a beginner these thinner necks were more beneficial, the pickups are nice clear in the bridge I'd say a bit even strat-ish but in a good way, the neck pickups are nice and mellow sounding switching pickups is pretty smooth but the neck pickup might sound a but thicker and louder , the Marshall is pretty good as well I brought it to my school you can easily crank it up to be heard, has great tones and simple not confusing potmeters (also if you buy a Marshall buy this one over the code, that amp is pure hell and struggling)
