Watching this after following the twins birth story is heartbreaking.
He's so much bigger and gets to meet his whole family immediately after while the twins are super tiny and only able to see mum and dad for a few hours a day.

Not that surprising, honestly. I have a pic of my mom that was taken right before she started going into labor with me and her belly was HUGE. Probably because I was born like two days later than when I was due and therefore had to be born via C-section.

I’m watching this in 2024 now. You have Flynn who just turned 5 and the twins who just turned 2. I have watched Flynn’s birth vlog so many times in the last 5 years and sob everytime when he is born. I know I’ve seen this video once but now seeing Flynn’s big personality develop (and the twins are 6 months), I had to revisit it. Such an adorable family!
I broke down in tears when the baby came out.. as happy as I was for them, I was crying because of how happy I am for the child. He has two of the best people he could have as parents and he’s gonna experience so much love for the rest of his life. Blessings 🙏🏼

I cried..I haven’t watched in years and I am humbled to see how much this family loves and supports each other. Colleen and Eric have this thing..this deep bond and love for each other..what a gift. And their reaction leading to and the actual birth..was amazing. We could feel every emotion from laughing, to crying, to love.

It normally takes at *least* 8 hours of labor before the baby comes after your water breaks, especially if it's your first time delivering a baby-- your cervix will be thinner and weaker after delivering a baby so you tend to become fully dilated much faster your second or third birth thus requiring more of an emergency situation husting to the hospital! In her case I believe it was her first baby, so she had plenty of time to get ready before baby comes 🙂 also, if she was closer to giving birth the contractions would be so constant and intense that she wouldn't possibly be able to stand there doing her own hair, so she's just fine! Your body pretty much will let you know what's happening.

@@lilywest8375 When l was having my first baby l start to get contractions 10 minutes apart and l took shower and did my makeup. I start to get contractions 3 mins apart in the car. I walked to the labour room and the midwife checked and l was already 9.5cm dilated. I got heavy show and then my water broke. I gave birth an hour after that. It actually varies. Not everyone is the same.
Yeh your water breaks.. you don’t feel really crazy pain and contractions until hours later! There’s plenty of time!
@@NLeeyana Oh wow! That's amazing. I wouldn't say that's the norm for first time births but everyone is different and that can definitely happen! I'm so glad you were able to make it there in time before things progressed any further. I was super scared I was going to be too dilated to be able to get an epidural because of how fast the contractions came on after my water broke and how intense they got 😱 I was out seeing my pain doctor when my water popped like a waterballoon inside of me and gushed everywhere all over the floor... I wasn't prepared and didn't have anything packed because it was a month before my due date! Luckily we made it to the hospital in time and after 9 hours of labor our daughter was born 🙂 such an amazing experience, and like you said each experience is unique and individual. I think the best thing you can do is go with your instincts... If you feel you're able to take a few mins to freshen up go for it!
