    I would make it more complicated but realistic by putting the ocean lower than the river. River on a slight incline. And the lake could be on another level as well.
    These videos are very helpful. Thank you!

    I've only done terrain once following the Japanese Bridge live build. Had to "rewind" the video several times. Definitely need more practice. Thanks for sharing the technique.

    Good practical stuff thanks. IMHO it might make some sense for continuity and context to tackle a larger project, say a block of apartments and break it into these 10 minute tips. For example, 1) terrain just done, 2) foundations, 3) walls 4) roof, 5) furnishing, 6) vegetation, 7) rendering and 8) building plans.

      It might appear strange to include 5) furnishing but interior decorators would appreciate that, and issues of using 3DU, spacing and ergonomics come to the fore.
      I left out 5a) fixtures and fittings, which might be very important to some people because doors and windows can easily be improperly positioned, toilets and showers awkward placed, and lighting inadequate. (as I have recently experienced within my current project)

      Or you might redesign your current workplace and highlight some of the good and bad design issues?

    That was a nice clean flow. I’m actually having trouble getting a waterfall in this model of a pool/spa to look good. I have the transparency high so it’s almost clear and in the podium materials Podium materials property, I added water properties to it. I lit it from underneath but it looks like a sheet of paper. Don’t know what else to do.

      Hey there Kathlene, could you figure out already how to make it work?

    Thanx for the tutorial! But, what about landscape :) what is the best way to make quality landscape fastly?

    A, your videos are really useful, both content and delivery! The purpose of this modelling, as an indicator of water near an architectural project might also be helpful NOT to explode the geometry, in order to show clients potential rises in local water levels through different seasons... Cheers!

    Awesome video! Do you know of a material or texture that would work with render engines like Enscape that can produce a low level creek bed? Just wanting the water to look sparse. Perhaps your method is still the best way?

      @@AaronMakingStuff aaron i didn't figure out how to use solid tools for finding out earthwork cut and fill volume.. Can you please make a video about it.

    Going through all these in a playlist would be better if the order was reversed because some of the videos are sequential which means i end up seeing them in reverse order.

    how to animate that water on sketshup

    • @SketchUp
      @SketchUp  9 месяцев назад

      SKetchUp is a 3d modeling software, not an animation engine. While you can animate using scenes to move the camera through your model, SketchUp is not the right tool to do things like animate water. You shoudl look into rendering engines for that sort fo thing.
