Thank you, I knew I'd seen the stamp tool (in your live terrain modelling vid) but this made it really clear and simple
thank you so much, was struggling with this issue for a long time. very simple explanation 👍🏽
Your explanations are perfect, thank you
Quick & clean! Thanks. I've learned... Oh Yes.
This is great! I have saved ....
Very nice. Question please; how would one form a surface over a model? Like making a vacuum formed part or package. I was thinking DRAPE might work? Very good explanations Aaron
I like your t-shirts...
Can you stamp a level (cross section) road that is following sloping terrain?
You can drape the outline of course but can you level the road in between the draped edges?
Hello! Aaron thanks for that review. I wondered if there's a way to grade the road more after it was draped; In order to level it out, as roads go?.
Aaron
You did a Video before about importing a .jpeg for windows and resizing it to the figured dimension on the imported plan. Could you do a Video in a step by step way showing how to import a plan and trace over it using the shown dimensions on the imported plan. Thanks
Good afternoon. Nearly 5 pm where I live. Some ideas of model designs : the ISS, Delta IV rocket with its lunar orbiter, a drone (MAVIC air), etc... I have subscribed to your channel but I have never received any message! I try to listen to most of your live sessions. I learn a lot! How about a session on a rendering package? regards
With the stamp command, is there a way of determining what volume of material is either removed or added to the landscape?
Brian Campbell If you Group the geometry and close it off (make a solid) the Entity Info will display the cubic size.
Thanks Aaron
why is it locked at 1000mm i CANT SEEM TO CHANGE VALUE
Hello Aaron
How do you make the road stay level from side to side but following the curves of the valley (up and Down).
Yes, good question. Aaron?
that would be the Stamp command. it will leave your object flat and cut mesh to connect. Like the foundation he did on the left side where he cut down into the ground.
So the low volume of your mic is not exclusive to the live videos. Nice :)
sounded fine to me? Didn't notice it being low at all?
tricky2k Just checked the volume of this and a few other videos against some other YT videos and the audios seems ok... please let me know if you are hearing a problem with any other videos on our page.
Sound in your videos is always a tad low when compared with other videos in youtube, being live or not. Just do the test, open this video or one of the live streams and some other at the same time, you won't hear yourself. I mean, is not that important, it's the content what matters, but sometimes I forget to turn down the volume after watching your SU livestreams, then open some other video and it's quite a jumpscare :D :D
:D
There seems to be a gap in knowledge between the two videos, specifically how you went from a ‘from contours’ model to one with perfect quads...
Quads with three sides? Am I missing something?
Would have been helpful if you show how to draw in Plan view "how to get the road in the first place" instead of just quickly referring to it. So the search continues.
