  • Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys agreed to have the QB play out the final year of his current contract without any offer. Dak has a no-trade clause on his current deal, which makes the Cowboys' situation more difficult. However, Nick Wright reveals one way to regain leverage in this situation. Watch as he explains why America's Team made the correct move waiting out.

Smart move by the Boys. Should they trade him to the Vikings for the package they are dangling to the top 5 teams in the draft since they need a QB. Dallas could draft a guy? Or does Jerry draft Deions son next year.

Tough decision. But Dak wants too much. Let him go play for Arizona.

Did the Cowboys "give" it to Dak? Or did he insist leaving them with no options? Just like he insisted on 4 years, which was the big sticking point why his deal didn't get done sooner. And with Dak, the longer you wait the bigger his demands. This whole $60M/yr talk that came out was ludicrous. And I promise you it wasn't the Cowboys who started floating that figure.

That playoff game against the 49ers to end the 22 season was a joke. Guy basically forgot how many timeouts they had, or can't make the clock management decisions that any yahoo on Madden makes every time.

Let Dak walk. You can lose in the first round of the playoffs with a qb on a rookie deal just as easily as you can with Dak making 60 mil a year. As long as the Cowboys are relevant during the regular season, that's all Jerry cares about. He cares more about headlines than winning championships.

Dallas wants to move off Dak, but they are so scared of not being relevant. It's ok to rebuild and restructure. This team is not performing under Dak. Move on.

The reason Dak is due 59mil this year is because the jones’ pushed him to contract expiration before they signed him last time and tagged him twice. That kind of kicking the can down the road adds up. If he plays out his contract he will leave Dallas. Why stay where you’re not wanted. They have made it all be on his shoulders when it’s a team sport and while his position is important it’s not catching the ball or stopping the other team’s offense. I personally hope he leaves and let the cowboys go back to QB purgatory that they were in for so long after Troy.

The Cowboys didn't lose because of Dak. They lost because they couldn't stop the run all year on D. They also decided to play zone when they're a man coverage team. They struggled running the ball. Dak was like Dan Fouts in the 80s had no running game but all passing.

Okay. When did Dak say he wanted $60 mil per season? Also he's the 8th to 14th best QB? The brother just earned all pro (2nd team) and runner up for MVP. First IF I'm McCarthy I'm resigning. The lack of any actual effort by this front office is not doing McCarthy or this team any favors. The ship is sinking quickly. Let Jerry and Stephen stay on it since they sunk it. If I'm Dak I'm not playing without a new deal. Dallas has done NOTHING to not only improve over last year but even address the glaring holes they knew they had. Instead they allowed what limited talent we DID have go elsewhere. They have not addressed the holes they have along the O line, the D line, the LBs, RBs, and WRs since they cut Gallup. They're expecting back ups and draft picks to carry the load? Draft picks they HAVEN'T even drafted yet? This is why Schultz said Dallas is a circus. This is why Dallas hasn't done squat post Jimmy (Barry Switzer did win a SB but with Jimmys team.) And this is why Dallas will be pretenders and not contenders as long as somebody named Jones calls the shots. Period.
