I have always upgraded my smartphone after 3 years just to make sure I'm still getting security updates. I'm on the Pixel 8 now, but I still have my Pixel 5 and even Pixel 2, and they both work fine. I'd go back to the 2 in a heartbeat even without the fanciest features if it was still getting security patches.

If you “game” on your phone, you’re not a gamer. Phone gaming is a damn joke. I want a phone with good cameras and usable ai. I have a pixel 8 pro and a 15 pro max. I noticed when switching from the pixel to the iPhone, Siri and even the iOS 18 ai are a joke. Just even the phone features like spam calls. I get 593 spam calls a day on my iPhone, while I was getting practically zero on my pixel. Siri is also a serious joke. From not understanding what I’m even asking to just failing outright in apple carplay uses, it’s almost unusable. I miss my pixel so much but my family all uses iPhone and iMessage. A feature that will bring me back to pixel once iOS 18 and rcs come to the masses. I’m using it in the iOS 18 beta now and it works great. As soon as the update comes out for my family, I’m heading back to pixel.

I haven't been interested in the processor in smartphones for years. Whether Apple, Google or Samsung. All top smartphones have more than enough performance for me. A stock Android from Google has a much higher value for me than all the bloatware on a Samsung. And the most important selling point for me, apart from data protection and reliable updates, is now just the camera features and the price. That will decide for me whether I switch from Apple to Google this year or stay with the iPhone.

same. I haven't been that interested in smartphone processor performance in a while because they are all so close. I mean, a tensor processor isn't all that much different than a Snapdragon, considering they use some of the same CPU cores. The tensor is just under clocked and it has a weaker GPU but it gets the job done for most smartphone tasks. So unless you are hardcore gamer on your phone, the tensor will probably deliver enough performance for typical smartphone use.

Also if you Root your Phone there's Root Modules and Root Apps or APK's that you can use to make it better such as Performance and Battery Saving.

I honestly am very confused about all these leaks. Mainly because the majority of Pixel 6 pro geekbench scores are far less than my own greekbench scores from my now 3 year old Pixel 6 pro. They show around 1100 single core scores, while mine did around 1450. Right now the leak shows the pixel 9 pro xl at 1950, but if it's anything like my current device with a 350 point difference from the data online, that would put the pixel 9 pro xl's single core score on par with the s24 ultra. And for reference the s21 ultra (which came out the same year as the pixel 6) also had a lower score than what I'm currently getting today. Hench i am comfused.

Absolutely not worth moving to Pixel. Tensor G4 is leaps and bounds behind even the Snapdragon Gen 3, and now the SD Gen 4 is about to be launching very soon with a reported 46% performance increase over the Gen 3 at 4.2 GHz clock speeds. Oof. Google is a $2 Trillion company. You'd think they'd shovel some money into an SoC that can compete since they're still in the smartphone market and charging higher and higher into the flagship prices generation over generation.

No phone will ever be perfect and each brand has its own flaws. Pixels have a great setup but their biggest issue is stability problems with bugs and glitches. I wasn’t expecting the G4 chipset to be a big upgrade and it doesn’t really need to be all power. The G4 simply needs to reduce the familiar Exynos related issues like overheating, bad battery life, and poor connectivity. If the G4 can provide stability in these areas, who cares about bench mark scores? Raw power is not everything and if you buy a phone for the best cameras or the highest gaming specs, you’ll never get that satisfied. If you want gaming then buy a PC or PS5 or game console of some kind. If you want pro level cameras, buy a Nikon.

The A17 pro chip on my iPhone 15pro max constantly overheats. I ain't a gamer so the pixel will be more than enough for me and most people.

I'm using the Galaxy Note 20 XL. It's about to be on its 5th Year. Until the phone does something really spectacular, I have my PC for gaming and don't really use AI at all.
So no upgrade for me until something catches my eye I suppose.

But I want to buy google pixel 9 pro
    Pls suggest

      @TechticsDaily  Месяц назад

It depends on your own preference. as in android vs ios.
another notable thing is the size as pixel 9 pro is in small size.
but if you are ok with phone size and ios then swtching to pixel 9 might not be a great idea as iphone 15 pro max is great in camera, software, longevity and almost in every department.

Every phone has it's problems and every phone works for someone lol. Get it now. Honestly its not that deep just concentrate on your own needs and don't be influenced or triggered. My P8 runs hot and I'll keep an eye on things in case there's a stand out device in 2025 or even 2026 but its still a great little device for now. You don't need to cry about these things with one another 😂 Good summary in parts ✅

Google is bringing their A-game with this phone.
They're looking at what Samsung and Apple are doing and got tired of them hogging the lime light with their A.I. features and sexy looking phones.

snapdragon midrange chip like 7+ gen 3 can beat this tensor G4. Google always disappoint us. if you are launching a premium flagship smartphone then processor should be flagship level. at least you should learn from Apple & samsung

I have same idea with @ankcientgamer but with cameras. If you sohailly buy phone for cameras, phone photography is a damn joke, I want a phone with photography grade but not come out same lame sensor and improved...(Slightly) Damg it go buy a damn camera and it last u at least 5 years to not upgrading sohailly phone and get der best quality photos and stop saying, ah I use my phone can took picture. I know, I know u can take sohai picture l, I mean if u want to believe and compare phone to full frame kamras, go buy a kamera. Unless u really enjoy AI removing people from ur pictuez
