@@trentSMC to me 2b2t is like a confinment zone that keep its player entertain enough through drama and inter group conflict to not harm innocent servers around the world. Its like twitter, if twitter happened to disapear, all its most harmfull users will spread and plague other platforms.

The bedrock "comet" is actually a recreation of the black marker from the dead space franchise, a artifact of alien origin, that mutates and controls dead tissue and alters the minds of the living for its own purposes.
Spoiler: They pretty much kill entire planets worth of lifeforms to form a large singular necromorph called a brethren moon. Then launch more black markers to repeat the process

@@la1m1e I didn't find any other variation of it (I'm Russian myself, so I watched the founder's of the group videos and didn't found any description of the group in russian so far), so maybe it was originally named in english.
The thing is, most of russian people don't bother to learn english propertly and even simple and strange puns (or even just simple words) in other country's language is sometimes considered a cool nickname by us.

@@DaRocketGuy yes, but in vanilla, you can get bedrock via a lengthy exploit, in the current version IIRC. And if *any* of the previous patches *ever* had a bedrock exploit, you can assume that every player would have infinite bedrock, because there's always a duping exploit. So you can assume that every player has infinite bedrock, so spawn would be completely encased in bedrock... And then every block (inside) would be blown up, to ensure nobody could ever escape, except you and your pals.
Honestly at this point, I'd be more impressed if they found a way to mass remove wood or dirt than bedrock

Hypothetical, what if all the bedrock under the spawn radius of the world spawn were deleted and everything above was removed. Could that prevent spawning in at world spawn? Could that be the ultimate grief, the server is effectively dead to new players if spawn is essentially non-existent. Until the blessed Hausmaster fixes it.
I would expext, that Minecraft already contains a solution to that situation. You would provably just spawn at the nearest fitting position.
A cobblestone monster can undo all the work of creating a void spawn very easily.
If a Vanilla Minecraft server does not find a good place to spawn within spawn range, it will give up and spawn the player at 0 0 0, no matter if it falls into the void. Not sure if the same happens on paper.
2b2t already altered vanilla spawning so people won't be trapped at 0;0 so it depends on plugin forcing random spawn inside huge region.

Something that this reminded me of is that if/when 2b2t updates to/beyond 1.18 is that these bedrock holes will continue all the way down through Y=-64 due to one of the changes in the prereleases! The retrogen of caves below 0 was tweaked to not happen unless there are blocks at Y=0, so with exposed void, it will continue downwards through the world to the new void layer.
When i first saw the start of this video i thought that was the reason why they were breaking it.
Some other game companies might make a feature like that deliberately so void holes aren't canon, but not Mojang.
The chunks where the bedrock were broken were loaded before the cave update so even with the update to y= -64 the terrain in that place wouldn't change.
That's just a suposition, im not sure.
@@TeteuCrafter Why guess? How it works is literally documented. 1.17 worlds literally have new terrain generated under them when ported to 1.18 pre-release. Whether it’s already loaded makes no difference.

The Breakery's motivation is so intriguing. You have to go through a few mental gymnastics to get there but it isn't just for the lols.

Think it'd be possible for The Breakery to expand their hole to cover the entirety of spawn? If they want no queue, then eliminate any chance for new players to enter the game by erasing everything in spawn.

Good, you freaking tourists will stop flooding the queue and making it impossible to play on the server for the regulars.
Imagine if I told you if you want to play your favorite game you now have to pay an additional 20$ a month just to play in it. And you can't instantly login either, you have to wait for 10-20 minutes. And this is the only way you can play your favorite game. You'd be pissed too.

These structure are only historical because of the griefers. Had there been no griefers, 2b2t would just be another server. Because of the everpresent risk of a structure being destroyed, those that survive for years are granted value.

@@Tuck-hw9oz Just because Hause of 2014 left, doesn't mean the current hause doesn't fix stuff like this. He's the reason the nether roof no longer has holes either.
And regarding the question by OP. Hause has been known to occasionally turn on and off the bedrock fixing plugin. He only ever turns it on when there is serious amounts of nether roof/floor breaking so this video might get it turned on again. Might not be a bad idea to go and try to expand a hole in the nether roof and unload the chunk before this happens for future use.

The fact that so many people are now caught in the lore of this specific server is great, I myself am mystified on how I got here but I can’t stop …. Some hotel in California type stuff. 🤔 About 5~min in I assumed they’d be removing bedrock around spawn, but that’s an interesting reasoning “no tourism” , didn’t expect that one.
Eventually we’ll just have “how 2b2t players broke every block in 2b2t”

If 2b2t upgraded to 1.18 there would be columns of air going down to 0 and the new caves below 0 won't be at that position, so if all bedrock was destroyed, then the new generation wouldn't be able to generate below 0.

BANANCH1K means a Banana for anybody interested (ru. Бананчик).
It also has a suffix "chik" which is used to add softness to the word, making it more "cute", "little" and so on. Without the suffix it's Banan (ru. Банан)

FitMC also pronounced it fairly accurate, except for one part. "A" sound in Russian isn't pronounced like in the word "Bad", but rather like in "Aardvark" (so, it's not ae, but a: instead if you're familiar with those)

I honestly don't know why the server admin wants all the cool unnatural stuff gone if he's allowing people to use almost every Minecraft exploit known to man.
They just really want to have a piece of normal smp stuff like making void traps.
