    Just hit 75,000 in my 17 f-150 5.0 and it’s been a little shaky at idle. Great job on the video! Very clear and simple! Thanks! 🙏

    Excellent, clear video and audio. I also have a 2016 F150 5.0 liter V8 with about 82,000 miles on it, mostly from driving back and forth between California and Florida. I'll probably change the plugs soon. Thanks a lot!

    Perfect, using Anti-seize and dielectric grease are signs of a good Tech. Much appreciated.

    • @facerapi2920
      @facerapi2920 8 месяцев назад

      I haven't watched the video yet but if you put anti-seize on the spark plugs that is not good because it will change the torque on the spark plug and possibly caused it to come loose

    • @Kantuski
      @Kantuski 8 месяцев назад

      @@facerapi2920 Aluminum heads with steel plugs will cause corrosion issues leading to difficulties in removing plugs, up to and including stripped threads. A little dab about 1/3 of the way down the threads works wonders. Proper torque will not be affected enough to loosen up.

    Thanks for the video. You explained everything very good. Even showed, what people were asking for in the comments. My question, would be toward of the video. I like the Tread on the tires. What Brand / Style & Size Tires. ( And did you happen to replace any of the spark plug boots etc? )

    Nice video .. Unfortunately my plug swap on the 2011 f150 5.0 is not going so smooth ive broken the bolt heads off 5 out of 8 coil bolts but did manage to remove the inserts & re install them with heat. My fear now is that the plugs might be seized, I used a 3/8 ratchet with extention & Swivel 5/8" plug socket with a good amount of muscle & they won't budge ! It's my daily driver and I need to wait till I find the time so I can soak the wells with penetrating fluid for a couple days then try again " Wish Me Luck "

      Ah man, I'm sorry to hear that!! Bolts breaking are the worst thing to happen in any project! I'm glad you were able to get most of the inserts out! That's the hardest part. I'd definitely recommend soaking them in PB Blaster or something equivalent. That'll help reduce the risk for breaking the plugs. I'm sure you'll get them out no problem! Good Luck!!! Keep me updated!

    BTW the trucks plugs have paint on the tips so they are the original plugs & I have 240,000 KM on the truck therefore I've been over due in changing them for a long time , truck runs fine but still the plugs need to be replaced.

    • @TinkeringWithT
      @TinkeringWithT  2 года назад

      Good to know! I didn't know that. Sounds like you got some great life out of those plugs! You'll probably notice a slight performance & MPG increase with the new plugs, I noticed that when I replaced mine! Thanks for the info!

    i was told when i change the sprk plugs on my 2011 f-150 with over 120.000 miles on it. that the plugs can be trouble breaking loose even breaking off the block is that true.do you think i should spray some penerating lube on them over night. first.

    • @TinkeringWithT
      @TinkeringWithT  Год назад

      It definitely wouldn’t hurt! Anything to prevent those breaking off would be great!

    What exhaust is that? Are there any tight areas on any of the plugs or are is it pretty easy access for all?
