  • Merry Christmas & Season's best to everyone! 🍻🎁🎄😊
As an extra christmas gift, I have made this Boss GT-100 Expression Pedal Calibration video. It shows how to calibrate the pedal, and how to take control over the EXP SW and the different Wah-selections.
Thanks for all the support so far - I truly appreciate it! This Channel has grown quite a bit this year, and I really hope to continue the journey, when we enter 2019. All of you good people is what makes it possible - so a big "thank you" to all of you! 🎄🎁🍻
As always, let me know if you need anything, I'm always ready to help out.
Happy Holidays & Season's best to you all!
    Enjoy this lovely Christmas-time!
    Cheers, good people! 🍻🍻🎁🎄😊

Since there are "only" 8 assigns per patch, it is a good idea to have your pedal turn on / off a relevant effect before consuming one of the 8 precious assigns. Another technique is to use the channel select to it's fullest potential. For example, you could put an OD, preamp, EQ and delay onto channel B, then with the num switch, you could simply engage channel B for your lead sound, and you haven't used up any assigns and they can be used for other things.

Sure, that is a great way to take full advantage of the Assigns. Thanks for sharing!

GT100 - How to Set Up clean sound and wah-wah sound easily using pedals
i saw your Wah Activation Assign youtube video but some things are not clear.
    1) What is the difference between your method above versus assigning clean sound and wah-wah sound in GT100's foot pedal #1 and #2 respectively?
    2) What I would like to achieve is to switch between clean sound and wah-wah sound easily without having to create wah-wah sound on pedal#2.
Is it possible to simply use ACCL/CTL pedal to assign wah-wah sound? If so how is this done?
This way while playing clean sound on pedal#1, I can simply press CTL/EXP pedal to get wah-wah effect.

Hi What is the 'sub expression pedal' and how is it used? Thanks, great video.

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  5 лет назад +1

      Hey there, @Johnny Solipsis 😊
Thanks for your comment and question - I appreciate it!
The Sub Expression gives you the option to add another, external Expression pedal to the GT-100.
It's the same with the Sub CTL.
For example, if you only want the onboard Expression pedal to control volume, then you can add another Expression pedal and use that one for Wah or other things.
      That's the function of it.
      I hope this helps.
Let me know if you need anything else.

Hmm, it seems strange, if you followed the video, then things should work..
What did you set the Threshold to? Setting it to 1 would make the EXP Pedal easier to activate.
What happens when you press the switch? Nothing at all, or?
      Cheers.
      Best regards.

  • @kevinniemeyer5938

In my opinion, 1 is still too high of a threshold for the exp pedal to turn on. You still have to press too hard to switch it on.

Hi there, I have a little problem. Usually I made like here for the calibration. But in these days I have some problem with the pitch and when I'm going to calibrate the pedal, the screen say "out of range" and I cannot calibrate yet :( do you think that if I try to dismount the pedal and reput everything in order it will be work. I'm not sure if is it a physical problem or software, but I'm almost sure about the first one. Thank you

How to get a realistic humbucker tone with a SSS fender strat and the GT100?

    • @GuitarNTabs
      @GuitarNTabs  5 лет назад +1

      Hey there, @Nagesh Cavatur.
      Happy Holidays 🎁🎄
Hmm, that would probably not be easy.. The GT-100 has an effect called "Guitar Sim" - it can be found in the FX-1 and FX-2 block. There is an option to select S --> H - which means it will take a single coil pickup and give it the characteristics of a humbucker.. I haven't used it much, and it will probably not sound that much like a humbucker... since it's not a humbucker guitar.. but give it a try, and see what happens 😊
Experiment with it, and tweak the different parameters.
      Have a wonderful christmas 🎄🎁
      Cheers!

      @@coverslyfestyle8470 - Hi again.
I'm very sorry for my late reply, I've been behind on answering comments...
Aha, I see. You need to do the following:
Press the "effect" button and scroll until you see "FV". Then on the right hand screen you set the Volume Min to 30 and the Volume Max to 100.
Leave the Volume Curve at Normal.
      That should do it.

My problem is that when i go to write the minimum calibration all the way down and write it just says "out of range: set again".
But the pedal is simply depressed to the minimum. Just normally, no crazy force or anything! What can I do? It ruins everything?!

      Hi there.
Thanks for your comment and question.
Check to see, if any global parameters are set differently from the factory settings, or perhaps try a factory reset of the unit.
That's where I would start, to see if that solves the issue.
      I hope this helps.

      Hi,
By default it should already be set to act as a volume pedal.
If it's not, then go into the signal chain, and find the FV icon, and make sure it's set to Volume.

You'll have to asign the flanger to FX 1 or 2 and place it wherever you desire it in the chain. Then you'll configure one of the pedals to FX 1 or 2; whichever one you assigned the flanger to. If you configure say pedal 4 to the flanger FX, then pedal 4 will be the flanger switch in manual mode.
