    I took another train from Tartu to Tapa.

    Pociągi estońskie wyprodukowane zostały w fabryce Stadler Rail w Siedlcach w Polsce. Prezentują się bardzo dobrze.

      Niezbyt wygodne są siedzenia, bardzo twarde i po 2 h jazdy czuje się dyskomfort. Jeździłem takim pociągiem w zeszłym roku w lipcu z Tallinna do Narwy i z powrotem oraz w tym roku w maju z Tallinna do Tartu i z powrotem. Co ciekawe, innych pociągów u nich nie ma. Linie podmiejskie to elektryki, trochę dalsze spalinowe.

    Valga and Tartu stations look nice. Hope one day more stations (like in Tapa and Vaivara) will be properly renovated.

    The ceilings are all high in railroad stations and I think I know why. The old steam engine used to pull into the station, they put out a lot of black smoke and then went up into the high parts of the station and then don't bother the people down below.

    Danke für das Video. Nach 40 Jahre, war sehr interessant wiedermal Tallinn zu sehen und Bahnhof, wo ich öfter mal nach Riga mit dem Zug gefahren bin.Ich habe in der Nähe von Bahnhof gewohnt, seitdem wohne in Deutschland.

    Радует электричка. Радует удобный перон. Сравните с Екатеринбургом, третьем городе России, где пассажиры заползают в вагон практически с уровня земли. А если у старушки при себе ещё и большой тяжёлый чемодан на колёсиках, то она вообще никогда не поднимется в такой поезд.

      вот это кстати интересный момент, почему Россия категорически отказывается от низкопольных электропоездов. Камон, высокие платформы только в Москве и Петербурге (+область), в других регионах их единицы. В чем проблема сделать так, чтобы людям удобно было? (Либо начать производить низкополы, либо построить высокие платформы)

    01:22 This statement seems nit to be true exept if they completly overhauled the tiketing.
    Last i rode the train there was regular tickets and ao called VIP

      @@RailwaylineT Dziękuję. Z jakich powodów Estonia zdecydowała się pozostać przy tej szerokości? O ile wiem, np. Litwa przy odnawialniu tras przechodzi a raczej wraca na szerokość europejską. Dlaczego Estonia zrobiono inaczej?

      @@marvju209 There has never really been any reason to change the tracks to a European 1435mm gauge since most of the trains only run in Estonia. It's been suggested that if the state were to renew the tracks in the future to allow high speed rail, they might change to a European gauge, but it would be extremely expensive with the price around 5 times more expensive than the Estonian Rail Baltica section.

      @@Taevas___ 5x? Skąd taka gigantyczna różnica między europejskim standardem a rosyjskim? Rozumiem, że nie ma sensu przebudowa stosunkowo nowej trasy, ale podczas renowacji i tak wszystko idzie do wymiany

      @@marvju209 It would mean that the current (new and fairly new) rolling stock could not be used anymore and the tracks would not be used for rail transport for a couple of years. Besides, only a small portion is double-tracked. You would essentially have to build hundreds of kilometers of new standard gauge tracks, before converting the existing ones to standard gauge. A 2022 European Union proposal for all new rail lines to be standard gauge and a rolling plan introduced to convert other gauges to Standard would cost Estonia an estimated €8.7 billion which raises questions over cost/benefit.

    Estonia beautiful country lovely people n , big are not always good provided they are civilised n care for others , not like the big country china so big country n billion population already cant take care of their own citizens basic livelihood yet keep crying over spilled milk that Taiwan still belongs to them even after 70 over years thus causing unnecessary tensions n choas for other peace loving countries n people, what a big shame to world chinese generations ancestors

    I extremely don't like the announcement voice on the Elron trains. Announcement voice on the polish Intercity Premium / Intercity trains (PKP) is the best!

    Oh, Narva. The only place in the world with no Russian sound announcements whatsoever but trains out of here are full of Russians.

      Oh horrible, you actually need to know the language of the country or English as an international language. Every location in the world with many Russians should have Russian announcements, whether in Thailand, Turkey or Spain. Right?
      London has massive amounts of Indians. Should London trains have announcements in Hindi? What about Turkish language on German trains?

      @@incremental_failure To be fair many countries use special adminstrative entities within itself like autonomous regions. Like within Russia itself where e.g. in Kazan every announcement on public transport/infrastructure is doubled in Russian and Tatar.

      @@pashazzubuntu Ida-Virumaa is unlikely to ever become a SAR. Russia never had a historical situation where an external force was trying to replace the Russian language. Estonia has that history. Even throughout the 90s where both Estonian and Russian was used in conversation, every Russian person expected the Estonian to switch to Russian, why?
      Russian isn't an international language either, so the global use case is limited.

      Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania all use Russian gauge because railroads were built here during the time these lands were under the rule of Russian Empire. However discussions of changing the gauge to European one are ongoing. Finland is most against it because of the cost of it.

      ​@@carleryk I don't think it will be done before it is time to replace the current trains, so 2045 to 2050 or thereabouts. The current ongoing program is the full electrification of Tallinn-Tartu and Tallinn-Narva tracks. Tallinn-Pärnu->Latvian border will be standard gauge anyway.
