Is there a significant difference in sound quality over the Evo series? Of so, can you describe the difference?

Yeah, this. For me, I have a hard time hearing a lot of the high frequency sounds like cymbals and electronic percussion that sits high in the frequency range because the tweeter in the Evo 4.2 is tuned to be 'smooth'. So when high frequency sounds aren't in the front of the mix they can hardly be heard at all. Also, the placement, both height and width/in front or at the sides of the listener, is crucial. If this speaker is as directional as the Evo 4.2 I don't think I will hear an improvement in my room. I do have 3 panels to absorb some of the audio reflections (two on the sides behind the speakers and one behind my listening spot) but I'm not sure they make much of a difference in a room with 2.5 sides full of DVDs, CDs and books. I couldn't put anything up in the ceiling. My living room is 5.5 meters wide and 4.5 meters deep. The speakers are placed against the longer side.
