The Budget Lens You've Been After! (Blazar Remus 35 T/1.6 Anamorphic Review)

After a couple months, it's safe to say the ‪@BlazarLensMarketing‬ Remus 35 T/1.6 Anamorphic Lens has become one of my all time favourite pieces of gear, not only for the cost but the quality and character it has to offer!

Does it bother you that it’s not auto focused like the Apex??

@@depthofieldmedia​​⁠no, I’m most familiar with manual focus anamorphics, I think it’s maybe the top and bottom of the frame. I love the distortion at the sides, but somewhere around the 45° angle it starts to look less filmic, and more funhouse clown mirror

@ fair enough! The Apex being 1.33x instead of 1.5x will have less distortion and stretch so makes sense if you’d prefer that, I’m just a sucker for character after being spherical lenses for so long haha!!

⁠@@depthofieldmediawell I think it’s unfair to say the apex has less distortion than the 1.5 Remus. They are different. The apex is not a traditional 1.33
