    I cut off and reused the factory spring locks on my 88, I ditched the factory line between the in frame pump and filter connected them with a compression fitting for header clearance. Amazon adjustable fuel pressure regulator and modified 2 of the fittings to accept the hard line spring locks.

    Damn right this video helped me out...
    So here are my questions
    1on the fuel pressure regulator who have on the firewall...u said that u put a switch on the dash...can u wire that straight to the ignition switch when u have to crank the truck?
    2 also I couldn't understand the carburetor bogging..or flooding when u give it gas...u said something about the spacer?.is that the spacer between the intake and carb?
    3. How does it work installing a Chevy distributor work..or rather dies the distributor shaft works on the Ford cam??and also the wiring for the HEI distributor??..sorry for all the questions..but I'm getting ready to do a whole mess on my 96...300..5 speed...out with the 300..in with a 351..also 3/5 DJM drop kit and finally frame off resto...Yea itsalot..but it's time ..I've had this truck since 2000... people just keep asking me if I want to sell it..and nope....it's a keeper..

    I have a 1985 F150. It was my dad’s and is original other than a replacement Autolite 2150 carb and gas tank. My gas mileage is horrible; 7mpg but no smell of gasoline and the pipes burn clean. Any suggestions for better fuel economy? Would I have change the intake manifold to upgrade to a more fuel efficient carb? • @FloridaCrackerKustoms

      Your transmission is electronically controlled, my AOD is not electronically controlled. You’d have to probably run a full manual valve body in your transmission.

    Looks great man!! I'm right in the middle of converting mine right now. I'm having some problems wiring up my factory fuel pump. I was thinking of just wiring the FP to the inertia switch. One thing I'm still wondering about is when the truck was efi the pump would run for about 5 seconds and cut off almost like it was just priming it. Now that I've got it carbed will it run the whole time the ignition is hot?

    • @FloridaCrackerKustoms
      @FloridaCrackerKustoms  2 года назад +4

      Mine runs continuously as well, there’s nothing wrong. Its because with the fuel regulator bypass it doesn’t allow it to build high pressure like a normal EFI system that primes & shuts off.
