Rejection can be a huge relief, especially when she's decent about it. I'm thankful for all the pleasant "no's" that I've gotten.
I had a situation like that as a teen. A girl I had a huge crush on broke up with me shortly after we started dating, but she was honest and treated me with respect and didn't try to game me at all. It stung at the moment but I'm glad she was honest and nice about it.

Bruh when Aba was talking about the girl that got upset when he didn’t ask her back in I had flashbacks! When I was in college this girl was in my bed and we started making out, and I stopped and told her I wasn’t looking for anything past sex (just trying to be honest). So she’s like okay, and she’s like I don’t want you kissing me then. I say okay and completely stop, and 2 minutes later this women had the audacity to say to me “I didn’t actually want you to stop kissing me” at that point I was just like yea let’s not continue this. I did not need a case on my hands.

From my experience I took rejection really hard because it was so often that at some point it really starts to get at your self esteem. If every time you like somebody you get rejected it's hard not to become self critical and wonder what's wrong with you. Eventually it made me want to just give up on people because it sucks so much. Having to deal with getting rejected, then try to lower standards and still get rejected just makes you feel like shit honestly.
Do you think maybe you were interpreting comments as rejection that were not intended as rejection?? I am not sure if you date men or women or what, but men in particular don't really understand emotional things too well. Actually anyone can say things that get taken the wrong way. I like the idea of classes around flirting and sex as long as it's not about manipulating. If people learn the same lessons, it takes away the confusion.
This should be sex ed, or relationships ed, whatever. But you have some people, and I'm going to generalise and say right wingers, not in favour of sex ed in schools. It really annoys me.
Women are often socially inept in intersexual relationships because they think that men read super subtle social cues like they do. Men communicate overtly, women communicate covertly and a lot of the time women think that men should be able to pick up their covert signs. It's like an entirely different language. Women need to understand that the language they can speak with women (the "covert" language) is not easily understood by men. Can men learn it? Sure, but everyone's primary language is overt communication so why not use what is the most easily understood by all?
I got approached by a guy in early afternoon at my regular bar. He acted a little bit flirty, so when he asked to talk, I asked if this was conversation or potential hookup. I said no thank you, I'm with someone else. He smiled, kissed my forehead, and said thanks for not leading him on. I had a waitress come over and try to rip into him for asking for sex. But he actually asked with no force, it was appreciated.
Love it. Just two guys, keeping it real, having a great time with some good conversations. No drama, no tribalism.

About a year ago, I was at a pub with my cousins. These two girls were sitting with us and I was into one of them. The other girl found me really attractive and asked me for a kiss. About 2 1/2 years ago I had strong feelings for a girl (built up from 4 months of not owning up to it), and when she found out she rejected me and cut me off. That hurt like hell, still regret and think about it to this day. Since then I've been rejected dozens upon dozens of times but it barely even bothers me. I think its almost good to experience it firsthand to desenstize yourself to just how stupid the emotions are.

Especially since there's usually a dead line in the contract made with people who finances the project that would cause them to have to pay a penalty fee for not respecting the contract. Do those 2 things maybe twice and the company will probably go bankrupt.
Would you accept to have your company go bankrupt and cause thousands of employees to lose their jobs making you unable to ever start another business because no one would want to lend money to someone who brought his company to bankruptcy instead of releasing a poor product that might not sell as much as expected?

i remember in most of my classes after third year there were about 2 females in a room of 30. and if you were lucky there were 5, but that was quite rare.
also most of us in stem are a bit "autistic", meaning we have a very difficult time socializing with anyone from the "outgroup".
for me it was quite difficult to date within stem.

On the “lead you to water” thing I think it’s insecurity they want you to do something but are afraid of rejection so they are hoping you’ll get there without more explicit signs because “what if he isn’t into it?” Which is crazy to me becaus unless your asking some dude to choke or hurt you most men are going to be down. We don’t show interest unless where interested.
I agree, definitely think it could be an insecurity, or nervous thing. Could also be a conditioning thing to a small degree as well, I think. To me, at least, it seems women aren't as encouraged by their society to be forward with sexual stuff or being vocal and or exploring their desires/sexuality as much as men. So they might feel a little shameful in doing so or wonder if it's okay. And I think that can cause a lot of issues in miscommunications too. But that's just my op.

I agree with Aba as a guy who lost his virginity at 39. I'm sad so much of this got cut out, I watched this live and the conversation went on for a few hours and has been one of my favourite streams.
Sometimes people forget that the "public conversation" or the "last person" has nothing to do with the person you're with. Maybe the last person needs more aggression, maybe the next person needs every step planned. You have to have a conversation about the rules of engagement with everyone.
That said, there are a lot of terrible things that have been overlooked. So it's nice that rape is a big deal these days. I was gang raped as a teen and never told anyone because I was afraid that it would be looked at as my fault. I was also afraid that I would be taken from my home because I was put in a foster home when I was a child after being molested at 5. The person I date is not responsible for my history, but that is why we have to discuss what is and is not ok and how we will communicate. No one is a mind reader.

Whats funny about this is I have had exactly the opposite experiences. I am very straight forward and open about what my intentions are and every girl I have tried having that conversation with said they hated it because it ruined the experience or vibe. It's actually a learned behavior I have to not talk about sex and just go with the flow, which I absolutely hate but the body wants what the body wants. I like knowing exactly what to expect in situations.
Are you still young &/or have limited experiences? I only ask bc this will probably change as you grow up, or meet more women. I would suggest talking about sex but not being so straightforward. Be flirtatious with it. Work discovering their preferences into your normal conversation. You can also progressively ask them more intimate questions (e.g. when’s the last time you went on a date? Kissed? Had sex? Self pleasured?)
Odds are good, it's the way you're talking about it. Setting expectations, defining boundaries, and clearly stating intentions tends to be well received.
Asking for permission, surprising or having the conversation come out of nowhere, or not leaving room for choice tends to end in bad results.
@@lamario I would say that is possible in some cases, but like I have girls that I talk to that tell me they trust me that I'm not romantically intimate with and I have never heard a girl tell me they like that outside of the internet sphere ever. Like I legit had a girl last week that I was speaking with talk to me about her past relationship and where it went wrong, with her regrets and what she didn't like and that was one of the factors she brought up that he tried to plan things out and she hated it. She liked the spontaneity of it. It's just so hard to believe when all my first hand experience has been the opposite of this.

I agree with the point that when it comes to sex and intimacy, there’s alll of a sudden the idea that there’s such a black and white view of how it can go - either really great or terribly. And the thing is, sex is weird. Sex is uncomfortable. We have to acknowledge the possibility for this. And when you throw miscommunication (which people have a high propensity to fall into because “they should just know”) into a weird and intimate and *vulnerable* situation, it can be such an explosive, volatile situation if all of a sudden one party isn’t willing to meet the other halfway.

Dude it's not typical men stereotypes. Are there women who make logical decisions to just want sex sure. But more often then not women want that fantasy of attraction built before hand. Does that mean it takes a long time to build it... No but every dude says hey wanna fuck and they say no because it's logical. A lot of time you have to appeal to the emotional side of women before they have sex. By emotional I don't mean love but at least some sort of attraction.

I find it a little strange how in general people are still so lost in the realm of sex and sexual interactions. We have a better understanding of the cosmos and bacteria more so than most people learn how to stay safe/polite when it comes to having sex, or just have a romantic interaction despite that most people want a relationship. Obviously it's more complex than things like disease, but the fact that we've had thousands of years to make some sort of medium to teach people how to be safe and responsible for a concept like sexual relationships, we still just have "experience" and red pill forums or tumblr.
coz sex isn't just an act or performance. I heard somewhere that just because you had sexual interactions with a lot of people doesn't mean you can satisfy every partner you’ve been with. everybody is different. sexual satisfaction comes with time and intimacy that's why casual sex isn't effective or fulfilling. it's just a matter of games and it will destroy you slowly. it's just a way of putting some lust momentarily.

Maybe it’s because Destiny and I are similar in age, but I swear all his views on relationships are so similar. Down to experiences that are exactly the same like picture angle on profiles and having to take one for the team lol. And how he used to be compared to how he is now.
