    This car is an 8 speed automatic, not 7 speed. Thank you for the correction!

    I bought my 2018 Alfa Romeo Giulia Q4 in July of 2020 and love driving it! I got it for a great price & have had ZERO issues with it. I'm using it as my daily driver here in Upstate NY & as you would expect, the winter weather has given the Q4 AWD system a work out. This AWD system is incredible as I have run flat summer tires on the car and in 2 to 3" of snow, no issues. It climbs my ice covered slippery driveway like it was a summer day which I find amazing considering the summer tires that are on the car. For anyone who is interested in buying a used Giulia, there are Service Contracts available for the car as I purchased one with a 5 year, 75,000 mile coverage plan. My car is also still covered under the 4 year, 50,000 mile factory warranty so I'm somewhat shielded from out of pocket repair expenses. I highly recommend this wonderful automobile & in my neighborhood, populated with Audi's, BMW's, & Mercedes, it's nice driving something different...

    When I traded in my 05 nissan 350z for a base 2017 giulia q4 w/ winter package and sport package, I honestly fell in love with the Giulia everyday. There was something new I discovered every time I got in the car. Also drives flawless (in "a" mode) in these past snow days here in Chicago. You should of added the small interior and exterior lighting it has as well, very luxurious and convenient.

    Just to let you know a lot of car enthusiasts and professional drivers (not that I am one) are always talking about how they prefer the paddle shifters being stationary. So that way if you’ve got the wheel turned every which way, you’ll always know where they are

  • @IraTopp
    @IraTopp 2 года назад +4

    Got the exact same car, but in volcanic black, with a glossy red wrap.
    Overall 9/10. 10/10 when there was a local OKC dealer, and while I haven't had any issues outside of what was covered under the warranty (car gets flatbedded to nearest dealer), I worry that when something does break, it'll set me back a bit at the local Stellantis dealer (Fiat Chrysler).
    I will say it does have a slight bit of difficulty going from a stop to moving on a steeper incline, but 34mpg on the highway is quite nice.
    I also don't like the fact that in the 2017 model, the drivers seat automatically goes back when you open the door. I kind of wish they made that a feature that you could tweak in the OBD2 setup, but it was fixed in the 2018 version. 🤷‍♂️

  • @dunhamjr5531
    @dunhamjr5531 Год назад +2

    about the paddles being column mounted and not being able to reach them when the wheel is turned... thats because you are SUPPOSED to move your hands.
    every performance driving school/instructor i have been to suggests this. mostly with a shuffle steer, aka dont cross one arm over the other. but anything is better than stiff arm locked grip.
    and IMO having had both wheel mounted and column mounted... column mounted is vastly superior since you always know where they paddles are. always.

    Nice review! I’ve watched a lot of reviews of the Giulia and you have found some genuinely unique little features that I haven’t seen elsewhere, and I appreciate you giving your opinions so readily, including calling out Clarkson where it’s due, and being fair to the infotainment. This is my first time watching any of your content and I think you’re doing a great job!

    I own the 2018 Base Giulia and I beg to differ about the steering weight - needs to be heavier.
    Other than that, the Giulia is better than any other cars in that price range for sure.

      I have a 2017 TI with the sport pack, I agree that it’s on the light side, but the feedback and ratio makes up for it. Since it’s on the lighter side I think it makes it even more tossable and darty.

    Generally I buy cars when they're 10 years old and my only concern about most of recent cars is the turbo, and the expense of replacing it when it fails. Let's see how this one will fair. So far no complaints about it but the same time not many off these have high miles yet.

    4:08 the first pronunciation is correct, if followed by letters "e" and "i" both g and c are pronounced soft in italian, the second thing you said would be written "ghiri", which means dormice (yes, for letters e and i you put the h to make g and c hard)

    Kinda late, but still wanna point this out - Alfa's Q4 is a "smart" four-wheel-drive system, under normal conditions the car is kept as entirely rear-wheel-drive, but if the on-board computer detects slippage, it sends part of the power to the front wheels to keep you straight.

    1. Stop yelling. It’s very annoying and makes people stop watching.
    2. Don’t zoom the camera all the way into your face while you’re in the car. It’s not pretty and people don’t come to watch car reviews to look at your face and hear you yell.
    3. Get the facts straight before the review. Anything else is lazy.
    4. Try to look like you didn’t just get out of bed, i.e. fix yourself up, put on some decent clothes, etc.
    5. Show more of the car, interior and exterior and show less of yourself.
