“Honey from the Bee” is a song I wrote a while back that’s going to be on the new album. Here’s an acoustic version we recorded in a park while our Minnesota bandmates (Andrew Foreman and Nate Babbs) were in town for our Los Angeles show. The song has evolved quite a bit since I first recorded the solo version for my channel - between Toni’s beautiful lead guitar part and the addition of the rhythm section. This video was filmed by our friend Kevin-or Captain Kev, as he as become known ever since the time we played on a floating stage in the middle of a lake and Kevin manned a canoe full of our merch in a captain’s hat. :)

Listening to this I’m reminded of an episode of The Sopranos when Christopher was asking Hesch about whether a song was a hit or not and Hesch tried explaining. Later, a song was playing and Hesch just pointedly said, “this is a hit”. Every song has a life of its own, each carries meaning for artist and audience alike and reactions can sometimes be unintended. All that being said, whether you realize it or not, intended or not, or feel more or less attached to it, this song, simply stated, is a hit - in any era. Timeless hit. Well done.
