Highly recommend Tropic Star Lodge, Panama. Been there 7 times, never have had a bad week. Have had great luck fishing on the Reef. Big Black or Blue Marlin 300 to 600 pounds. Also Dorado, Yellowfin and Sailfish. Not many places like this left on Earth where you can still catch big Marlin. Pricey, but worth every penny.
Sailfish, Swordfish, and Marlin all must be released back to the ocean. They are magnificient masters of the sea and deserve to live out their lives in their world. Great video.
Now ... thats *SUPER EPICCCCCCCCCCC* . Big respect to Guy Harvey and team as well as the other big game boats getting together for the tag and release program.
Might think im soft but where im from its called passion. I honestly cried seeing the team work between boats to exchange catches in order to tag more. Im from Panama City , Panama and to say my family is connected to nature would be a vast understatement. Together with Filipino in-laws we've grown a great love for the water and all the beautiful animals in it. From my heart, thank you all so much, words can't even describe. God bless you all.
This video “wow he’s 300 pounds.” Guy-“I agree 300 for sure” “Maybe close to 4?” Guy- “nah” I love how he’s shutting down the ol fisherman’s tale of rounding up lol. Multiple times too.
Excellent video, greetings to Dr. Guy Harvey always doing amazing things, likewise congratulations to Josua from blacktiph also bringing the wonder of sport fishing to all people.
Jealous is an understatement! I met Guy a couple times here in Myrtle, and then randomly met him in Grand Cayman on my honeymoon and he was nice enough to spend an hour one on one with us talking.
I am a freshwater fisher and we went to the keys with a couple family’s and on Tuesday we took a charter out and we went fishing for about 4 hours just through it these huge live baits we hooked onto a tarpon witch we lost because when the tarpon jumped it broke the line a 80 pound nurse shark and then right as we were about to leave we hooked up to about a 250 pound nurse shark that took around 40 minutes to reel in and as a freshwater fisherman that was the biggest fish I have ever caught
The hooks first grow in diameter as it oxidizes,, it takes very long to rust out. There are also rust free hooks now,, I believe they rely on the marlin shaking the hook out but I also doubt it causes too much interference to the marlin.
The time I went Tuna fishing, the fishermen immediately got strapped into a harness attached to the chair and no risk of going overboard...Sharks jumped 3* 15' mako INCREDIBLE SIGHT❤
Man, what a trip! Had a huge smile this whole video. Congrats! Thank you for sharing.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed it! 🙌

Hats off to the captains of those boats. To get that close to pass a rod in those waves is incredible.

The Bonito that they’re using as bait is literally bigger than any fish I’ve caught

Nice bratha 🔥🔥👍🤙👍👍
what do you use for your leader line? is it nylon or piano wire?
Very cool! I met Dr. Guy Harvey when he did a photo shoot on a boat that I was a deckhand on at Miami boat show. Very down to earth man.
He kind of seems like a know it all with his constant comments.

Joran bends greeting brother 🎣🎣
I'm wondering if the hooks you leave in their mouth come off at some point or are those tagged fishes stuck with that thing in their mouth now?
Very enjoyable fishing, greetings from Indonesia
Nice fish Josh!! I could write that replica mount up for you lol 😆 😂 🤣
such as wonderful day fishing ever
do they take the hook out after tagging the fish?
The hook rusts out really quick in saltwater. They’re just fine after
Viva Panama..!!!
Great video. Would love to see where the fish end up and how far they travel. Will I tell us the information u guys get from the tags?

Very nice bro👍👍
Nice. Bro... 😍😍😍😍
Question for blacktipH: when you cut the fish off, does the hook stay in the fish’s mouth forever or does the hook disintegrate or fall out over time?
Salt water corrodes it and the hook falls out over time.
Ich finde das gut das die Fische wieder freigelassen werden 😊
What month you there? Been to TSL twice with very poor results.
Nature's treasures, harvested with love. 💖
welcome to Panama boys
Pretty work guys
Cool steady👍👍👍🙏
Good my friend amazing fishing 👍🙏🐬🐬👍
Have there been studies on how long it takes for hooks to rust out when the leaders are cut?
The hooks first grow in diameter as it oxidizes,, it takes very long to rust out. There are also rust free hooks now,, I believe they rely on the marlin shaking the hook out but I also doubt it causes too much interference to the marlin.
love the videography!
Dang it took me until 3/4 of the way through the video to realize that was guy Harvey lol
do u use weights to get your hook to sink?
Just searched this after watching the old man and the sea. Brilliant work guys, conserve these incredible animals
