Talent, discipline and moral strength with our daughters and granddaughters. These are exactly the role models we all need. Hooray for the Chicks.
They pandered for profit, and got called on it. Just like the Beatles on their last US tour (when the goofiest among them had to say they were more popular than Jesus), their mouths caused them to be rejected by the very fan base that made them A list entertainers in the first place. Instead of doing what any entertainer should do when their mouth gets them in trouble, shutting up and just use that microphone for what they are known for, these girls decided to double down, with a three year propaganda campaign to try and sell their fall from popularity and profit as some sort of infringement on their rights. Of course, the liberal music industry gave them a grammy handout for it. One not deserved as much as every competitor they had that year (who, with the exception of the one that retired, outsold them then and since). That isn't moral strength. Not even megalithic Sony could save them from Nat's mouth. They are gone and for good reasons.
Natalies voice impresses me over and over again :-)
I love Emily's voice in the CYH's. And their choice of songs. But Natalie's voice has a punch to it that is hard to duplicate.
