I love to sing. It’s a family trait I guess. My father was a brilliant singer so family genes ? I don’t know I was at work ,singing away as usual and started singing this song. The other workers literally told me I was in the wrong profession. Lol 😂our crew sang all day long to enjoy the day and entertain / amuse our friends and families. Loved those days💜💜

Two of the greatest voices in Country & Western Music... ever. I have followed Dwight's career since it began and it didn't shock me when I heard the Legendary Johnny Cash say that Dwight Yoakam had the best Country & Western voice ever. I couldn't agree more. But even more than that, Dwight is one of the best songwriters that C&W music has ever seen, as well! To see the Living Legend Dwight Yoakam team up with the amazing voice of Carrie Underwood... it was a duet I have been long waiting for. I am praying to hear these two do some originals... or even a couple remakes... together soon! For now, it was just awesome hearing them pair up for one of Dwight's classics here and to hear their beautiful harmony together on stage!
No offense, Underwood brings this awesome song down on a notch. Know, who does a wonderful cover is Jessie Woods.
She voice was too shrill, imo. Can't recall her high pitch voice.
Carrie has a beautiful voice, but in this song she's not up to sing with him...she is really a thousand miles away from him

When she started I said "too high, way too high lady..." and then they sang together... brilliant harmony. there's no way she could complement him at that octave so she goes high when she needs to and comes down when she needs to. what a performer. respect... 🙏

Yeah she showed true vocal professionalism. When Dwight was high she went low then they switched. When Dwight was low she went high. It was really good once they had the initial feel out.

I grew up in Massachusetts and was listening to Dwight as a teenager while my friends were listening to Godsmack and limp Bizkit, I was like a square peg in a round hole. I blasted Dwight proudly and was relentlessly made fun of for it. Thank God I moved south after HS and never looked back.
