Bobby my Brother- in-law flies for Delta and has for numerous years. Stateside and mainly overseas. He was a Navy pilot from Miramar. Graduated from Annapolis. In other words he's top gun at flying and landing Delta's planes. I hope he was your pilot.
Can't believe the CF-6 has been around since the 70's and is still in production today. That being said, a replacement is due within the next few years.
@@ecoRfan BUT the RB211 is older and is still amazing I still love the cf6s though :) Also these engines are the PW4000s. Delta don’t use the CF6s on their 767-300s?
One thing I noticed about this video is just how many planes you see taking off and landing in just a 10 minute span. Perks of a large airport I guess. :) Also, this is probably one of the best videos taken from a cabin that I've seen. Steady camera work, and great audio. Subscribed!
Super late but it’s pretty crazy since I live near the airport you’ll see many times 2-3 planes flying over the airport at the same time. I’m actually going on a flight in 6 hours from there (first since I was only 10 months) so I’m pretty nervous about the experience though watching a bunch of these videos is putting me at ease especially coming from this one where I live.
I just flew a 767 on United. They had redone the interior completely. The trip to London was wonderful. The sound of the engine was still awesome as we took off at O'Hare. I do not fly a lot but do enjoy it to the up most.767 seems to be still serviceable and should help United manage until the ordered 787 and 777 come from Boeing. I would rather be in an old 767 than a new A 330 or 340.
Super stable camera work. Two things I noticed that show the age of this video. First of all, there are no winglets on this 767. Secondly, look at all of the DC9's in the background.
Great video! What a long procession of planes before you that took off! But that's Atlanta Airport for ya! I love the view of the terminal buildings and planes on the ground once your plane left the ground!
Anybody have any interesting events occur during take-off roll? Back in 1975, I was flying on a TWA 707 to Dulles field in Maryland from SFO. Our pilot got take-off clearance. the plane started the take-off roll, for about 20 seconds, and suddenly came to stop. A few moments later a loud roar of another airliner passed over us. From the sound of its engines it was very close. Our pilot told us the other plane had been cleared to land a little to soon. We then backed down the runway, it took several minutes, and finally took off.
Airplane engines can be very noisy during takeoff and landing during takeoff the noise in the cabin reaches about 105 decibels but during crusing altitude the noise reaches 85 decibels and during landing the noise in the cabin goes back to 105 decibels! This is mostly due to the fact that during takeoff the engines are at full power!
Flew on one of these to ANC this past summer. Only downside as I think has been echoed was they use older interiors for the domestic routes. I love the 2-3-2 configuration though.
These airplane videos are making me a little less scared of flying because I've never been on a flight before, never been on an airplane. Watching these videos of planes, are kinda making me feel less stressed about it because before I'm 18, I want to fly to see my great aunt and great uncle and cousins in Pocatello, ID
+Martin Dennis Back in the 90's I took a few trips and I LOVED it! ALWAYS want the window seats! I LOVE flying and if a chance opens up, I go! :-) Thanks for recording EVERYTHING!! :-)
+Martin Dennis I have just flown for the first time in my life, at age 34, and I did not realize how much I would enjoy it. I had always been kind of scared to do it, but when the time finally came, I just went for it. Glad I did it!
Isn't it GREAT?!! I first flew in the late 80's for the first time to Florida and I INSISTED on a window seat! What an experience that was and I flew several times, once to Maui, Hawaii!
Shay3YourMind81, back in the 80's I was a student pilot for awhile. If it wasn't for being so expensive, I would have had my private pilot license and possibly would have had a pilot's license for an airline. That's what I wanted to do.
18:20 - 18:30 - the shadow of the plane looks like a shadow of an L1011. I remember those, and DC10s. Both aircrafts were almost the same, with the 3rd engine at the tail, except the L1011's 3rd engine came out in front of tail and DC10 had the tail on top of the engine. That made the DC10's engine look a bit bigger. But I'm not sure if it really was or just looked that way from how it's placed.
Simply breathtaking and stunning. The steep take-off in ATL with the entire airport beneath your plane and the phantastic roaring 763 engines. I love this plane. What was your destination? Somewhere in Europe?
I’m trying to prepare to fly for the first time (as a 30-yr-old), and this looks so terrifying to me. I have no idea how I’m going to survive flying. 😱
I flew on a 767 once with delta back in the 80's on a flight from Newark to Orlando first widebody I flew and our seats were in the center isle way back couldn't see anything lol

BLXDK Thank you
A takeoff itself does not include pushback or taxi. People need to put taxi in the title if it has the taxi too.
I came here to cure my depression during covid😌 the engine sound brings me elsewhere~
Ng Xiang Yu glad I could help with that. Take care and thanks for watching

I would rather take a 767 or A330 over 787 or A330. The 767 is my favorite of them though.
Good old fashioned American power. Nothing like it.

Delta's 757s use PW2000. I'm not sure about the A330s, but I'm guessing it's a mix of PW4000 (100 inch fan) and the CF6-80E1.
