I am still on the fence on the PANDA 24. I love my PANDA 18th power wagon. I swapped in the axial esc/rec and it made a huge difference. Then I put the PANDA esc in my atlas 6x6 and same thing big difference, more wheel speed and better crawl control.
I like the clearance of the portals axles but the fact that there is a lot of work to do straight out of the box to get it to perform better is a big issue for most people… I enjoy the challenge… maybe you will too… if you do the mods in my video I think you will be happy with the 24… maybe panda will have a V2 that addresses all the issues.
I've seen a few videos on this rig where there is serious yoke shift in the front.... I wonder if that's not contributing to the roll.... When the power is off the drivelling relaxes.... Been thinking of getting one of these for a while.... I love the power wagon shell...
Thanks for the comment… I’ve had both front and rear diff covers off and I can visibly see the worm gear shift back and forth… I think this is the main area that needs to be addressed… I haven’t had a chance to put some solutions to the test yet. I think the trucks are very nice and I’m not sorry I purchased them but if you plan on getting one just know you’ll need to wrench on it a bit to get it to perform better. I love the power wagon shell as well… 🐼 Hobby has done an awesome job on their body designs.
@@DaddysRCAddiction I did notice last night the eBay has listings for full bearing upgrades.... I wonder if those in concert with shims wouldn't help.... Also, the o ring on the driveshaft has been known to catch and shift and the pin holding on the driveshaft falls out.... Allot of other people have used heat shrink to stop this happening.....
@@MrStupidpuppy Yeah the o ring issue is an easy solve... Panda does supply extra with the truck, losing the pin is another issue... I have put some bearings in key areas already (I forgot to mention that in my video)... The bearings you mentioned on eBay, are they for the 1/24th with portals, it requires more bearings than the other Panda hobby trucks. I was planing on using shims to HOPEFULLY fix the shift...
